Brookvale Oval All ages Tickets $55 2 – 9pm https://www.beachesrockrelief.com.au/ Sydney’s Northern Beaches Council is staging a Rock Relief concert at Brookvale Oval to support bushfire and drought-affected communities. The all-ages show will kick off at 2pm on Saturday 15 February and aims to raise over $1 million. Tickets cost $55 and are on sale now here. People are also encouraged to make an additional donation at the time of purchase to help raise as much money as possible and to show how much the Northern Beaches community cares. All profits from the show, and booking fees through the ticketing agency Humanitix, will be donated to the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery campaign. The Rural Fire Service (RFS) who have been partnering with Council at other summer events to raise funds, will also be onsite collecting for their bushfire appeal. Showing their support for the devastated communities are some of the top names in Australian music, including: •       Christine Anu •       Dog Trumpet •       Furnace and the Fundamentals •       GRAACE •       Hoodoo Gurus •       Hot Dub Time Machine •       Shannon Noll •       The Choirboys •       The Superjesus •       Xavier Dunn Mayor Michael Regan said the scale of the bushfire and drought devastation was shocking. “I am really humbled by the generous response to Rock Relief. With this line-up it’s going to be a very special event and I know we can smash our $1 million fundraising target. “This crisis is like nothing we have ever seen and I have been inundated by people in the community wanting to help out. While Council has been supporting our sister city Gunnedah, raising funds through Rotary at our summer events, supporting urgent donation collections at local surf clubs and donating all the profits from the Sun Run to Wires, this event will make a huge difference to thousands of suffering families. “Those lucky enough to get tickets can be confident knowing they will have a great day and they are contributing to a great cause. “The crisis is not over yet and the best thing we can do now is to support the front line agencies like the Red Cross so they can get the funds to where they are needed most.” Multi-award winning, singer and songwriter Christine Anu says its times like this we need to connect and help each other. “Like the millions all over the world, I too have looked on with devastation as these bushfires ravage our country. In times like these, Australians are so good at coming together like one big family to support each other. “I’m thrilled to be a part of Rock Relief, knowing that it will raise some much needed funds and bring people together. Let’s focus on connection and community when we need it most,” she said. Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there?  I’m currently based in Sydney, living in Cronulla. To my understanding, the music scene in town and around Sydney has been hit pretty hard by some really short sighted legislation over the last few years, some of which has very recently been repealed. I have high hopes that things will turn around and get better for artists and business, but that really comes down to people being willing to spend the money and time supporting local and independent artists.  How did you first start playing music?  I started singing lessons when I was in Year 6. I didn’t actually think anything would come of it, I just kind of figured out that I could do it and thought it keep it up as a creative outlet. When I started getting guitar lessons from my band mate Luke, we realised pretty quickly that something could be made of it if we could cobble some songs together. About a year later, here we are.  What's been happening recently?  Since pretty much the start of the year, Luke and I have been touring nationally with The Beautiful Girls, which has been fantastic. In between, we played the Make It Rain benefit in Byron, and that was just an amazing few nights. Beyond that, really just trying to consume and learn from as much new music as possible and trying desperately to write some new material.  Have you been recording lately?  Not since the first batch of recordings that yielded the songs we’ve released up until now. But myself and the band are keen to get back into the studio in the coming months to work on some new material that we’ve been playing around with for a few months. By that time, I should have already written up some new stuff too. In short, I’m optimistic that we’ll have some new stuff recorded within the year.  How do you approach the recording process?  The best approach, I think, is just to be as prepared as possible. Have the songs mostly finished either in your head or jammed out between the band. Also be willing to experiment and change up songs. It’s really hard to make changes to something that, in your head, already feels final and complete, but getting rid of that voice that says “don’t change anything, it won’t be as good” can open up a whole array of new ideas and sounds. Or it could be trash, in which case you’re going in with even less doubt about your original ideas. It’s win-win, really.  What programs/instruments do you use? During the shows, I just play an acoustic guitar of Luke’s. Really beautiful piece of kit. Otherwise, I don’t play anything. My main instrument is definitely my voice. In the studio, we record the acoustic live and Luke will jump on his Jazzmaster for effects, riffs and whatnot. We use Cubebase to record the tracks. Who do you usually work with? For the most part, it’s myself, Luke, our drummer James and our bass player Chris that make up the band. In the studio, Luke and Ian Pritchett co-produce the material.  What's been happening on the touring front? We kicked off on the Beautiful Girls’ tour at the very beginning of January. Since then it’s been either driving or flying from here to there, Queensland to Victoria back to NSW. A lot of really great shows, a lot of really great people. It’s great meeting people and talking to people in between and throughout shows, hearing what people think, what they like and what they don’t. It’s one of the best parts of touring, just seeing new people and new places.  Who are you listening to at the moment? Over the last few weeks I’ve been trying to get to some artists that have been on my list for a while that I haven’t really explored yet. Most recently, I’ve been listening through Rage Against the Machine’s discography because it keeps me awake in transit. I’ll be moving on to Outkast and Björk after that. Radiohead, Talking Heads, David Bowie and Swans make up a consistent part of my music diet. And the odd individual album here and there. Sunbather by Deafheaven made an appearance, which is about the prettiest nightmare I’ve ever subjected myself to.  Who or what influences your sound and songwriting? My songwriting is largely influenced by whatever I’m listening to at the current period in time. It’s never one artists necessarily, but I try to take the best parts or the best sounds or the best ideas from a few artists and turn it into something that, at the very least, sound like my own words. According to David Bowie, “Picasso said, it’s not what you steal, it’s how you use it”. At this point in my career, any comparisons to the people I idolise are welcome, because the people I idolise are brilliant.  What do you like to do away from music? I do a lot of video gaming. A whole lot of video gaming. Probably too much, but I think there’s massive artistic merit in games that frequently overlooked. I try to read as much as possible as well. I’ve been chugging through David Byrne’s How Music Works, which is a really, really well-written and insightful read. I’ve also been attempting, albeit slower than I would like, to catch up on a lot of movies and TV that’s been sitting on a list for far too long.  What's planned for 2020? Honestly, its hard to say. A lot of what we’re doing is playing by ear, seeing how our releases go and planning it out from there. We’re definitely keen to continue along with the tour, definitely keen to get in the studio at some point. A lot of writing in between, a lot of gigging. Basically just working on building up this pretty little empire in any way possible.  Favourite food and place to hang out? It would either be pizza or chicken. In saying that, our family restaurant, Queen Margherita in Cronulla, makes a hell of a Bolognese. By far my favourite thing in the place. As for my favourite place to hang out, there’s really nothing like home for me. But I’ll find enjoyment any place as long as I’m with the right people who can keep me distracted enough to where I don’t miss my bed too much.  Facebook: www.facebook.com/Jacksoncarrollaus/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jacksoncarrollaus/?hl=en Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1xjA70Ji8QMKD1lYlrSo9b?si=a6rcGChYTY2kwxhcF0EgKQ

For Avoidant’s 3rd release and kicking off 2020 for the label is Autonomous. After a chance meeting and several demo exchanges, this new project has birthed the Dialekt EP. Drawing inspiration from Drexciyan-era Electro, Autonomous delivers on high intensity, funked out and mercurial minded tracks, designed with attitude and channelling the spirit of raw Detroit electronics.    Title track Dialekt, is a mechanical mind bender as an ominous synth hook draws you deeper into the world of the Automaton. The Void remains steady with precision 808 beats and percussion, leading against a backdrop of twisted, acid soaked synths and a stylistic 80’s string. Celestial Spaces closes out this perfectly defined debut EP from Autonomous, once again focusing on clearly defined drums and a warped, undulating hook.   Avoidant Records is a brand-new label from Glasgow rooted in leftfield electro and diverse sonics which launched in October 2019.

On the touring front, Khan sold out his show at the iconic Hollywood Palladium this year, featuring a b2b set with Shaquille O’Neal (DJ Diesel) and a surprise appearance by legend Snoop Dogg. 2020 is already shaping up to be the year of Valentino Khan, and we can’t wait to see what happens next.

written by the partae
Brisbane based rapper Rivilin has just released his introspective new single ‘neuroscience’ along with a music video.
The single touches on personal trauma, and was written shortly after Rivilin was in a terrible car accident.
‘neuroscience’ is the first release from the rapper’s upcoming album ‘ratrose’, which comes out on Feb 21.
Rivilin creates a dark and progressive brand of alternative rap.
The young musician debuted in 2016 and has since accumulated a large number of releases under his belt. He started out his musical journey playing in hardcore bands and working as a promoter around Brisbane. He has since focused all of his energy into writing and releasing music at a prolific rate.
Rivilin released his album ‘Nobody’ last year, and then headed straight back into the studio to record his forthcoming album.
‘neuroscience’ is available for download on all major online stores.

Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there?

I’m currently based in Brisbane, Australia. Where the music scene has been up and down for the past couple of years,
but currently in the genre of underground rap, the scene in Brisbane has consistently been growing, always incredibly friendly and supportive of one another.

How did you first start playing music?

I dropped out of a prestigious school and transferred to a music one, this allowed me to gain a rough knowledge of the music industry
and make connections with other people who were into the same type of things as me. I first started playing music when I was in high school,
I bought an expensive microphone I didn’t know how to use and started making vocal covers of my favorite songs.
this lead into me starting a band of my own and doing my best at performing and songwriting.

What’s been happening recently?

Honestly, not a lot. I’ve just been preparing for my album release on the 21st of Feb and helping out other local artists record, mix and master. and
getting ready for two gigs I have coming up. The first is on the 7th of Feb where I will be supporting the artist Wicca Phase Springs Eternal
with my friends sfweeb, xenochrist and 33scrap. The other on the 23rd of Feb for the release of my upcoming album Ratrose,
with the support of my group CWC and other local artists such as Pale$age and sfweeb again.

Your new single ‘Neuroscience’ is out now, what influenced the sound and songwriting?

At the end of 2018 I flipped my car on the top of a mountain, I wanted to express the difficulties of recovering from trauma and losing friends along the way
my main inspiration for the sound is a mix between early Linkin Park, A Lot Like Bird and underground rap such Bones, Sybyr, Night Lovell and Lil Peep.
There are many other inspirations I take from but that would be the main source of influence for the direction I’m taking with my music.

How did you go about writing Neuroscience?

I was struggling with the recent trauma of everything that happened last year, so I just locked myself in my room and started to produce and write music.
Most of my songs are more like journal entries with where I was at in that stage of life.

Where and when did you recording/produce and who with?

I started the song around march last year in my home studio, putting all the sounds together. Everything I’ve recorded on this album including neuroscience has been done by myself
recording, mixing, mastering and even the album art.

What programs/instruments did you use to record/produce?

I use Ableton, as well as a few keyboards and guitars. I mainly enjoy warping the sounds I make and I find Ableton allows the easiest manipulation of sound files.
I really do like adding found sounds and soundscapes into songs as well, I enjoy trying to capture a place that you can imagine when you’re listening to the songs.

Who did you work with?

In terms of creating the actual track, no one. I made everything on my own without any outside influence.

You have an upcoming album release on the way, please tell us about this album and what we can expect:

The album releases on the 21st of Feb, with the majority of it being dark, none of it covers anything positive. as I stated above the songs on this album are similar to journal entries
they cover the mental state I was in when recording, which honestly I wasn’t in a good place. The songs outline themes of depression, anxiety, loss of loved ones and paranoia.
If you enjoy the dark themes of the first two Linkin Park albums, but with more of a rap vibe, you most likely will like this.
I have three features on the album, Pale$age, and Zabvza which are both local Brisbane artists I’ve performed with, I definitely recommend checking them out if you like dark and gloomy rap,
the other Tr!pp, I don’t know that well personally, but I’ve been working with his crew in America for the past year on a few songs, super supportive dude, I definitely back him as well.

Who are you listening to at the moment?

A lot of different stuff to be honest.

Regurgitator – Eduardo and Rodriguez Wage War on T-Wrecks
Limp Bizkit – Significant Other
Killstation – The Two of Us Are Dying
Oliver Francis – The Adventures of Oliver Francis
Make Them Suffer – Old Souls
Brennan Savage – Tragedy
Sybyr – Charleyhorse
and a bunch of bones
What do you like to do away from music?
I play a lot of video games with friends and watch movies.
I spend a lot of my free time either hanging with friends, recording local artists or just producing.

What’s planned for 2020?

I’m currently in the works of working on the next album after this one and hopefully getting an Australian wide tour
around mid-June to September finally booked. Honestly, most of the plans are just to record, write, have fun and travel with friends.

Favourite food and place to hangout?

Dumplings and Arizona Ice tea, nothing gets better than that.
Favorite place to hang has to be my friend Pale$ages house, get a few other people over and all we do is chill and play
old ps1 horror games like Silent Hill and Dino Crisis.

"More Than OK" is a song about never settling for love or life that doesn't set your soul on fire every day, a message that many will relate to as they move into a new year of goals and resolutions. Lucifour M is a band whose multifaceted and multidimensional music features many references to cinematic works.  The two musicians Michele Ducci and Marco Frattini have already been playing together as “M+A” for a while when they had the chance to perform as opening act for Bryan Ferry at Glastonbury Festival. It was there in the backstage that the idea of founding Lucifour M as a full band came into being when Ducci played new sketches of songs to Frattini. In the further course Michele Manzo (bass, guitar and keys) and Mattia Dallara  (samplers and keys) already part of better known Amycanbe, should come to the project and complete the band as a quartet. The main recordings of Lucifour M’s debut EP “UNO”, which has been released on Sonar Kollektiv Berlin in September 2019, have been produced within the scope of three extensive studio sessions where the four have recorded live versions of their jamming and playing. Dog is first groovy brand new single out for you to enjoy together with amazing animation video by Emanuele Kabu. “Valentine” has been alse released as a single, here you can find a live version. Artists: Kaskade & BROHUG Title: 1990 Label: Arkade Release date: January 24, 2020 Download / Stream Kaskade joins forces with the Swedish trio BROHUG (composed of John Dahlbäck, and Chris and Niklas Lunde) for perhaps the most prolific throwback single in electronic music to date, a tribute to one of the most significant years in music - 1990. The namesake-titled track is a play on SNAP!'s iconic "The Power," reworked with snippets of the original vocals set to Kaskade and BROHUG's ingenious production. Opening with a groovy melody as the backdrop to nostalgia-ridden lyrical riffs, "1990" progressively builds the tension to almost unbearable levels. We all know the moments just before a track of this magnitude drops, and the pressure is real right before the bouncy and driving crescendo, on which every old school fan's favorite line, "I've Got the Power!" rides perfectly. "1990" is out on Kaskade's Arkade imprint. Hear about the new release in the artists' own words below: "1990 was an incredible year for music. You couldn't go into a club, pizzeria, or record store without hearing the iconic song by SNAP! "The Power," and here we are in 2020 with it still buzzing in the zeitgeist. '1990' is only to be played on the loudest of speakers, and has got the power to stay stuck in your head long after hearing it." - Kaskade & BROHUG As a household name in electronic music for nearly two decades, Kaskade needs no introduction. His list of achievements is a mile long: 11 studio albums, 7 GRAMMY nominations, the first solo electronic dance artist to sell out both Navy Pier in Chicago and the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the first DJ to ever secure a Las Vegas residency, and the first electronic artist to headline Coachella. Less tangible but even more important has been his influence on dance music tastes and culture for generations of listeners. Often Kaskade is one of the artists who introduced now-veteran listeners to the genre, and such fans are usually fans for life. In 2019, he worked with multi-award winner Meghan Trainor on "With You" and Gorgon City on "Go Slow," among solo releases, such as "My Light," "Come On," and official remixes for the likes of Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani earlier. Regardless of their satirical stage name, BROHUG is not here to play games. Since John Dahlbäck and the Lunde brothers formed BROHUG in 2016, the trio has worked with Ghastly, remixed Steve Angello, and released on labels such as Confession, Spinnin' Records, Dim Mak, Musical Freedom, and their new label BROHOUSE. In 2019, their release schedule was packed with relentless hit after hit. Virtually unrivaled, their touring has been intense since the start, and 2020 will be no exception. BROHUG has really put their name out, with sets on festivals like Ultra Music Festival in Miami and Tomorrowland in Belgium, touring Australia and several tours in the US and Asia. ‘New Wales’ draws on the simplicity and depth of the place they call home, with classic songwriting and production styles reminiscent of R.E.M. and Tom Petty, mixed with the immediacy and upbeat catchiness of MGMT and Beck. Pull back the veil on the seemingly straight-ahead pop songs and you’ll find something new every time, “I feel I’ve entered one of those vintage stores where the prices are a little higher than you want, but the crap-junk choices have already been sorted out.” says producer Rusty Matyas (Imaginary Cities, The Weakerthans). Veteran Winnipeg Musicians David Pankratz, Sandy Taronno, Matthew Harder, Rob Mitchell and Jamie Taronno have played stages all over the world, whether writing, producing or touring with their own projects or lending skills to talented friends, they’ve developed a combined century of experience in the music industry, racking up major songwriting credits, awards, and loyal fans. Two new singles, ‘Face Tattoo’ and ‘Winnipeg’, to be released in fall 2019 are rich with big, sing-along melodies and chord structures that can offer energizing positivity, or reflective beauty. “They’re the kind of songs you have blaring out of your convertible while driving down the freeway,” says mix engineer Dave Schiffman (The Strumbellas, Vampire Weekend),“In my 25 plus years of making records I have always tried to work with artists who are true to themselves and their craft. New Wales more than fulfills that goal and I expect to hear big things from these guys.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bXr3SCpPJs https://www.newwales.ca/ https://www.facebook.com/newwalesband https://www.instagram.com/newwalesband/

Minuscule is the brainchild of ukulelist Laurel Minnes, harnessing the power of a 15-piece all-female choir and an eclectic backing band to create a powerful new form of feminist pop music. Making their debut performance with a sold out set at St. Catharines In the Soil Festival, Minuscule has continually clapped, stomped and meowed their way into winning over every audience they've met. Drawing comparisons to the weaving melodies of Imogen Heap and moving experience of Choir!Choir!Choir!, Minuscule's unforgettable live performances are making choral music cool again. The debut album Great, co-produced by Minnes and Joe Lapinski (Great Lake Swimmers, Woodshed Orchestra, DRFTR) was soft released November 2019. The 10 tracks encompass a genre-bending blend of intricate five-part vocal harmonies and emotionally stirring, tongue-in-cheek lyricism - and features title track Great, which secured Minnes' recognition as Songwriter of the Year at the 2018 Niagara Music Awards. What is your name and role in Heartlake?  Our roles vary between members and expertise, Noah usually spends his time on stage looking at his nicely crafted pedal board, Giac chooses to hit drums as a form of communication following speech therapy in his younger years (true story), Luca tends to play a couple notes on the bass with beer in hand, and Liam is a walking megaphone, whilst struggling with singing/playing coordination.  Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there? We’re based in the Northern Beaches, Sydney where there’s plenty young talented bands on the rise, and ones that have established themselves worldwide from the beaches that we all look up to for example Ocean Alley and Lime Cordiale who we supported for a couple shows on their dirt cheap tour in Dee Why 2018.  How did Heartlake form? It all started with Giac, Luca (brothers) and Noah who’ve known each other for many years and shared the same love for music and enjoyed playing Sweet Child O’ Mine on repeat, which led to asking Liam who played football with Luca to front the band about a year in at the end of 2017 and actually beginning to craft an original sound. Your new single ’Watching over you’ is out now, what influenced the sound and songwriting? We had a number of different songs to choose from when deciding which would be the best to hit people’s ears first. We wanted to capture something that got into the hook fast to hopefully grab your attention, and something simple that can be remembered whilst exploring ways to build the instrumentation with a number of different effects to capture a demanding sound. We all have our own individual tastes and ways of playing and writing so therefore we carry a bunch of different influences whether you may hear them in the song or not. Some of these artists include The Wombats, RHCP, Lime Cordiale, Sticky Fingers, Kings of Leon, the 1975.  How did you go about writing watching over you? Liam had come up with a verse guitar part and melody, but we needed something that would bring this together and build into a song. So we built the chorus around the bass hook which we felt created a solid statement and platform into making the general flow of the song clearer. When developing the song in the studio, our aim was to caption an insight into our sound for those listening for the first time and wanting to explore us further.  How did you go about achieving the sound? We wanted to create a sense of punchiness and drive, which we achieved through the layering of guitars and vocals in the chorus, and locking in a bass and drum groove which we could build a song around, while creating interest with the use of delays and modulation for example throughout the verses and bridge. We’ve always had a lot of fun with effects when songwriting, and a lot of these sounds from our initial ideas were developed in the studio and we’d like to credit our producer for making that work.  Where did you record? We recorded our single ‘Watching over you’ at a home based studio called ‘Jaminajar Music Production’ in Narrabeen with Paul Najar. We got the opportunity to record here when we one the Beaches ‘Northern Composure’ which has been a sick platform to get going for younger bands on the rise. What programs/instruments did you use during the recording/production process? We recording bass guitar and acoustic drums simultaneously in the same room, and following that we mic’d up guitar amps and processing most of our effects through a number of different plugins.  Who did you record with? We recorded with Paul Najar, who has been great for us through his experience and professional manner in the studio really helped focus us and record the best possible version of our song. We’re so stoked with what he’s helped us achieve and we’re excited to get our music our out into the world. We hope you love it as much as we do. Please explain how you approached the recording process: We spent about a day tracking the drums and bass in the studio, this part was the most challenging as this is when we really critiqued the song and made sure we were doing what we wanted to do with the song and made small final adjustments with Paul, our producer. Giac probably had about 10 different takes on the kit as we were still experimenting with structure while recording. We moved onto guitars next and took a while exploring different sounds, and synths and vocals last once the rest of the song was laid down. Who are you listening to at the moment? We’re all different in our personal music tastes which is like a piece of the puzzle to our sound, currently we’re enjoying Tame Impala’s new stuff, the 1975, Lime Cordiale, the Weeknd, Mac Miller’s new album (Rest in Peace), Yungblud, Hockey Dad, Tora and Sticky Fingers ‘Yours to Keep’ album.  What do you like to do away from music? We’ve all got our different interests, from the surf, to the gym, enjoying footy season, eating, drawing and painting, having a couple (which usually leads to 10) beers on a fine Saturday night, the list goes on.  What’s planned for 2020? We’ve got a busy year ahead of us. We plan to get as many gigs under our belt as we can and get our name out there and release more music following Watching Over You, two of our members graduated high school last year so we’re gonna give it our all this year and see where it takes us. Favourite food and place to hangout? Favourite food is definitely burgers. We’ve been on a mission to find the tastiest burger around and can confirm that Bar Luca in the city is something else, the Blame Canada is the burger to beat (this is not sponsored). We keep ourselves entertained with anything that’s put in front of us, and enjoy taking the mick out of each other once every few minutes wherever we go.  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/heartlakeband/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heartlake_/

Marc Rebillet’s One Man Show to make his AU & NZ live debut | March 2020

  • Musical comedy improviser Marc Rebillet announces tour of Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland in March 2020
  • The New Yorker’s eccentric, comedic and unpredictable musical performances are built from scratch live, earning him millions of views worldwide with over 779,000 followers on Facebook and 450,000 on YouTube
  • Before releasing his album Europe on Spotify, Rebillet improvised, recorded and streamed its entire 26 tracks whilst on a 29-day European trip live to fans
  • General Public tickets on sale Friday 31 January
Frontier Touring are delighted to welcome Dallas-born, New York City-based artist Marc Rebillet to Australia and New Zealand, performing for the first time. Infamous for his bathrobe-wearing and comical improvisational performances, centring around a BOSS RC-505 loop station, keyboard and vocals – Rebillet’s shows are a combination of soul, R&B, and house beats, blended with jokes about life’s everyday experiences.

Rebillet brings his improvisational performances to Brisbane’s The Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday 17 March, followed by Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Friday 20 March, and The Forum in Melbourne on Saturday 21 March, before heading to Auckland’s Powerstation on Tuesday 24 March. Presale tickets will be available for Frontier members from 1pm AEDT/3pm NZDT, Wednesday 29 January, with General Public tickets on sale Friday 31 January (1pm local time).

2019 was a huge year for Rebillet – sold out tours across North America, Europe and the UK and featured by Billboard as a ‘Dance Emerging Artist’ to Watch in August after releasing his album, Europe. In December Rebillet released his latest track, ‘Work That Ass For Daddy’, completely improvised in one take in true Marc Rebillet style.

‘Is Marc Rebillet the funniest man on the planet right now?’ – Irish Times

‘The Dallas-bred, New York City-based improvisational artist creates all his songs from scratch in a single setting, with his productions ranging from sensual R&B burners to hip-hop-tinged funk creations.’ – Billboard

Much of Rebillet’s music is improvised on the spot in front of his audience, and Europe is no exception. Each of the album’s 26 tracks were improvised, recorded and streamed individually via Rebillet’s YouTube channel, one-at-a-time whilst on the road during a 29 day trip around Europe, tracks include DAY 1: ‘BORDEAUX’, DAY 2: ‘GRENOBLE’ and DAY 6: ‘ZURICH’.

In August Europe was dropped, earning over 155,214 monthly streams. In addition, Rebillet regularly live streams on YouTube full sets of his seemingly unconventional music-making in his apartment and hotel rooms. Rebillet’s YouTube channel currently has over 450,000 active subscribers.

Don’t miss out on seeing this globe-spanning favourite for his first time in Australia and New Zealand in March 2020. Secure tickets early to avoid missing out!
