NGV Friday Nights returns this summer during Keith Haring | Jean-Michel Basquiat: Crossing Lines, paying homage to the 1980s and New York downtown. DJs spotlight an 80s music moment each week, alongside drag performances, classic cocktails and New York City street food.

Sharing Connections is a free program for those living with dementia in the community. It provides an opportunity for participants to enjoy a relaxed social experience using art as the basis for conversation and sharing ideas. Using the NGV Collection as the conduit, NGV Guides lead facilitated tours of the Gallery.

Join the discussion to learn how Petrina interrogates visual representations of women throughout art history and mythology in her photographs then view the works in her current solo exhibition Petrina Hicks: Bleached Gothic.

Celebrating contemporary photographer Polixeni Papapetrou’s work, Imagination And Storytelling considers the narrative in historical and contemporary photography. Hosted by Susan van Wyk, Senior Curator of Photography, NGV and Olympia Nelson, Polixeni Papapetrou’s daughter and muse, attendees can explore how Papapetrou explored narrative in her work through the Olympia: Photographs by Polixeni Papapetrou exhibition.

A panel discussion with Yhonnie Scarce, contemporary artist and Melbourne architecture studio, Edition Office, founders Kim Bridgland and Aaron Roberts about the 2019 Architecture Commission. The panel provides a thought-provoking lecture on the meanings of In Absence, 2019 a critically engaged architectural project that seeks to act as carrier for forgotten stories that must be shared and heard to inform our shared future.

![Epizode Festival ups its game again this year with the news that it has formed a creative and technical partnership with Sila Sveta, an interactive media, production and conceptual design company, for the production on the Main Stage. Says Natasha Rogal, CEO of Epizode festival, "It’s the first time in 4 years we make a step forward and deliver a brand new concept on the Main Stage of the festival. It’s become possible thanks to a cooperation with one of the most talented and professional teams in the industry. I am beyond excited because this will bring a new element of creativity and change the entire experience for our festival goers on the Main Stage!" Sila Sveta, a stellar interactive media studio, has collaborated with SETUP, an outstanding lighting design studio, to re-invent the central arena with simple linear structures empowered by bold light and video content to create a massive installation. In the very centre of the ensemble will be an intricate experimental object that explores the volume and geometry of a cube. Sila Sveta are the first call for every outrageous, unthinkable and unknown possibility in the field of digitally immersive experiences. They create content and provide the management necessary to install and produce any kind of show. Their studio has a unique working pipeline making it possible to deliver its exquisite product with unusually fast turnaround. There are several strong design teams in the studio, each lead by an exceptional art director. This flexible combination makes it possible to work on projects in completely different fields such as 3D mapping on buildings, holographic performances and lighting shows, all at the same time. About EPIZODE: EPIZODE is a music and art festival held at Vietnam’s most picturesque island getaway, Phu Quoc. The 11-day long festival kicks off after Christmas and ploughs through the hustle and bustle of the New Year.
