Australian songwriter and producer Oliver Dela Cruz, also known as Le Cruize, has released his second solo single, ‘DIVINE’. Dela Cruz is also one half of duo Midnight Pool Party.
According to the release, ‘DIVINE’ is a disco track centred on attraction and chemistry. The song focuses on the experience of noticing someone who immediately commands attention.
The lyrics move through compliments relating to a person’s face, smile, spirit, soul and vibe before arriving at the central hook, “You’re divine.” The release describes the track as drawing on disco’s tradition of turning attraction into music intended for dancing.
The track features synths, a groove and vocals, with the release describing its overall sound through the setting of a late night dancefloor.
‘DIVINE’ follows Dela Cruz’s debut solo release, ‘SWEET DAY’. The release states that the new single continues to showcase his production work and combines his songwriting with a dancefloor focused sound.
‘DIVINE’ was written, produced and mixed by Oliver Dela Cruz. Jack Prest handled mastering, while Aaron Muriel is credited for photos and visuals.
