Field Day will return to Sydney’s The Domain on Friday, 1 January 2027, with Major Lazer and Sub Focus leading the lineup for the New Year’s Day festival, alongside a third headliner that is yet to be announced.
Presented by Fuzzy, Field Day 2027 will take place on Gadigal Country and will feature three stages of dance music, with the festival also confirming the return of Casamigos Camp Ground, which is curated by the LGBTQIA+ community.
Major Lazer will return to Australia for the first time in 11 years. The group, comprising Diplo, Walshy Fire, Ape Drums and vocalist America Foster, will headline the festival alongside British DJ and producer Sub Focus and the currently undisclosed third headliner.
Major Lazer have built a catalogue spanning dancehall, reggae and electronic music, with tracks including “Lean On”, “Cold Water” and “Light It Up”. According to the festival announcement, 2026 has already seen the group perform at the Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony and return to Coachella for the first time in almost a decade.
Sub Focus will bring his drum & bass-focused sound to The Domain. His fourth studio album, Contact, features collaborations with Grimes, John Summit, Katy B and Fireboy DML, while the album’s lead single “Push The Tempo” reached number one on US dance radio.
The lineup continues with a substantial selection of international and Australian electronic artists.
Drum & bass figure Andy C joins the bill alongside Elderbrook, Boys Noize, Hannah Laing, Łaszewo, nimino, Funk Tribu, Julian Fijma, Joe Hunt, MPH, Oppidan and southstar.
Andy C, who co-founded RAM Records in 1992, has become one of drum & bass’s established names, while Elderbrook brings his multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter approach to the festival following the success of “Cola”, his Grammy-nominated collaboration with CamelPhat.
Boys Noize will also appear, following collaborations with artists including Skrillex and Frank Ocean and support of Nine Inch Nails during their Peel It Back tour across 2025 and 2026. Scottish DJ, producer and label boss Hannah Laing is also set to perform.
The Australian contingent includes Sydney artists Club Angel, Cassette, Stacie Fields, Disco Dora and Fried Pork Chop, alongside Melbourne duo 2charm and TANZER.
Club Angel joins the festival following headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, as well as international performances. Cassette, who founded Bodywork, will also bring her house-focused sound to the festival.
Melbourne duo 2charm will perform following the release of their debut album Star Scum City, produced by Ninajirachi. Stacie Fields, Disco Dora and Fried Pork Chop will add further Australian representation across the festival’s stages.
The Casamigos Camp Ground lineup includes 2charm, Disco Dora, Fried Pork Chop, Latifa Tee, Loosie Grind, TANZER and Tiddalicious, while the wider Field Day lineup features 2charm, Andy C, Boys Noize, Cassette, Club Angel, Disco Dora, Elderbrook, Fried Pork Chop, Funk Tribu, Hannah Laing, Joe Hunt, Julian Fijma, Łaszewo, Latifa Tee, Loosie Grind, MAD.DAY, MPH, nimino, Oppidan, southstar, Stacie Fields, TANZER, Tiddalicious, Tiff Cornish and Wolters.
Wiradjuri DJ duo Tiddalicious will also perform, with the festival announcement describing their sets as incorporating culture, community and storytelling.
Field Day has also announced a dedicated ticket initiative for 18–25-year-olds. A limited allocation of tickets will be available for $99.90 plus fees, with the initiative intended to improve access for younger festivalgoers.
The 18–25 ticket request period opens at 12pm AEST on Wednesday, 2 September and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Sunday, 6 September. Successful applicants will be selected through the Ticket Request process, with the ballot fulfilled on Monday, 7 September.
Presale tickets will become available from 12pm AEST on Wednesday, 9 September, followed by general ticket sales from 10am AEST on Thursday, 10 September. Field Day has confirmed that Moshtix is the official ticketing outlet.
The 2027 festival also forms part of a significant year for promoter Fuzzy, which is celebrating 30 years in the Australian music scene. Field Day has been held at The Domain for more than 25 years, with previous editions featuring artists including RÜFÜS DU SOL, The xx, Disclosure, Mark Ronson, Tame Impala, Solange, Flume and Dom Dolla.
Field Day 2027 will take place on Friday, 1 January 2027 at The Domain on Gadigal Country in Sydney.
