Willaris. K & The Presets Join Forces On ‘World Collapsing’

In a bucket-list collaborative release, Naarm techno powerhouse Willaris. K has impressively joined forces with acclaimed Australian dance pioneer The Presets on electrifying new single ‘World Collapsing’ – a momentous creative collision between a genre icon and next-generation leader.

A long-time fan of The Presets, Willaris. K came of age during the outfit’s reign over the Australian music scene, finding inspiration in their innovative sound and groundbreaking approach to electronic music. With ‘World Collapsing’, Willaris. K pays homage to his musical influences, while charting new territories alongside the act that shaped him the most. Packed with mid-naughties nostalgia, the pair seamlessly blend The Presets’ iconic sound with Willaris. K’s signature combination of organic sound and gritty, industrial production. The exciting collaboration saw its first spin on triple j Drive last night.

The Presets career has spanned 21 years and four records – winning 6x ARIAs for their triple-Platinum-awarded album, Apocolypso. First signed to Modular Records, The Presets have toured with Daft Punk and played Coachella (twice), Glastonbury, Creamfields and Exit Festival.

Willaris. K has made a name for himself on local and international shores, gaining the attention of BBC Radio 1, Mixmag, The Guardian, Beats 1, Stereogum and NME. He has gone on to score for HBO alongside scores for fashion brands, runway events and film, tour UK/EU with Skin On Skin, and play world-renowned festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza and Beyond The Valley. He sold-out his hometown headline show at The Forum last year, marking his biggest headline gig to date. Willaris. K has officially remixed RÜFÜS DU SOL and Flume, and his own tracks have been remixed by Boys Noize and Skin On Skin.

‘World Collapsing’ follows Willaris. K’s 2023 collaborative EP with producer and friend jamesjamesjames, Silversun. The pair were Spotify’s Portal cover artist and bookended the release with a closing B2B set on Pitch Music and Arts Festival’s mainstage.
