SUPPORT FOR 'FALL IN LOVE' “Will Clift feels like the intersection of many of his comparables; slices of Frank Ocean mixed in with a touch of The Weeknd and a dash of some unknown factor which gives Will Clift his own distinct charm, letting him stand out from the crowd.” - Pilerats (AUS) “Will dealing out these RnB slices that are hard to resist. Hearts will be melting at some of these.” - Declan Byrne – triple j (AUS) Following on from the release of his critically praised single ‘How’, Melbourne-based RnB artist Will Clift has returned with his enticing follow up ‘Fall In Love’ - produced by Rob Amoruso (The Rubens, Sparrows, Jakubi) and Ben Oldland. ‘Fall In Love’ is a mesmerizing cut of feel-good RnB, taking cues from luminaires Frank Ocean, Anderson .Paak and Tom Misch. The tracks groove-laden bass lines meld with stark percussion and sharp funk chords, showcasing Will’s effortless lead vocals. The track is accompanied by a beautifully shot performance video, filmed at a private mansion in Noosa by AOV Films. Will talks about the meaning behind ‘Fall In Love’: “The song is about the struggle between the excitement and reluctance to fall in love. When I was writing this track, I wanted to create something that would be a lot of fun to play live and would make people move. This is shown in the video with my bad dance moves, haha! The concept of the music video is that the model is actually a figment of my imagination and 'the perfect girl' that I'd ideally fall in love with is unobtainable. It was a lot of fun to make, and I'm not sick of the song after hearing it about 100 times which is a good sign.” Previous releases have been supported by the likes of Spotify, triple j Unearthed, 4ZZZ, PBS FM, Music Feeds, The Soundcheck, Something You Said, AAA Backstage and Radio Adelaide. For the last 14 years, Will has been busy as a sports professional, leading him into the world of Rugby Union with teams such as the Melbourne Rebels, but now is taking the leap on to the quick paced and ever-changing music scene. “I’ve played Rugby union at a professional level and it’s a goal of mine to play professional rugby overseas in the near future as well as touring with my music of course,” Will explains. “I’m also currently studying a Bachelor of Science majoring in Neuroscience with a concurrent diploma in French at the University of Melbourne,” he continues. ‘Fall In Love’ is available worldwide now FOLLOW WILL CLIFT FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | SOUNDCLOUD | SPOTIFY | APPLE MUSIC
