Following the recent announcement of her debut album last month, KUČKA shares her new track ‘Eternity‘ with a self-directed video. Listen and watch HERE, and pre-order Wrestling, out this April 30 via LuckyMe / Soothsayer, HERE.
‘Eternity‘ follows the Perth-raised, LA-based producer and vocalist’s recent releases ‘No Good For Me‘, ‘Drowning‘, ‘Real‘, ‘Contemplation‘ and ‘Ascension‘, each of which has received playlist support from triple j, FBi Radio, RAGE, and MTV.
Visually directed by KUČKA herself, ‘Eternity‘ was filmed over a series of wet weather days. This time, Lowther turns the lens on her wife and creative muse, Dillon Howl, though a cascade of intimate close-ups amongst smoggy clearings, raindrops on car windows, cement highways, and more.
Speaking to the creative process and ‘Eternity‘s songwriting, Laura shares, “I had super intense visuals for this track throughout the writing process. It always felt very sensual, intimate, and close. I wanted to get the sense of being in a comfortable and safe place when the world outside feels cold and distant. The idea of the clips repeating was something that developed later on as I was piecing the edit together. By increasing the speed of the clips over the video it gave me the anxious feeling of how quickly time passes and how much I always replay my favourite memories over and over in my head.”
‘Eternity‘ is taken off KUČKA’s debut album Wrestling, out this April 30 via Soothsayer / LuckyMe.
