THE JENSENS RETURN WITH NEW SINGLE 'AUTOMATIC' STUDIO ALBUM 'HAMMER & BLUSH' SET TO RELEASE IN LATE MAY

“The Jensens never fail to deliver a smorgasbord of themes and samples for your ear to grab on to.”
– Livewire

The Jensens are a band with a lot to be excited about. Combining bright, pop-centric hooks with sun-soaked, guitar-driven instrumentals
– Pilerats

The Jensens are back with another single from their upcoming album, Hammer & Blush, Automatic. This song is almost an existential representation for the band, “What lurks beneath the surface to drive and influence us? Are we more than the sum of our parts, or just parts, coexisting?,” – Nathan Kendall

Chemicals, randomly firing synapses, unseen electromagnetic forces and deterministic powers of nature were among some of the notes the group gave to their artistic director, James Hornsby, a.k.a @unclecronicbone, when working on the visuals for their upcoming albumThese almost futuristic themes are best represented in this release, and features sounds inspired by the works of St Vincent.

The first single from the album, ‘Paper Walls’, was met with critical acclaim from industry tastemakers such as Rolling Stone magazine,  Music Feeds and The Au Review and their most recent single, ‘Ziba’ premiered on triple j Unearthed’s TOPS. The Brisbane-based group previously played at 2019’s Splendour in the Grass, and have also supported The Vaccines, Last Dinosaurs, The Delta Riggs, Kingswood and The Belligerents.

With their sophomore album on the way, The Jensens are sure to make their way into your subconscious with their hazy pop.
