Dylan Pinkerton Unveils New Electro-Pop Dance Ballad ‘One That You Love’

Songwriter, storyteller and producer Dylan Pinkerton is shooting Cupid’s arrow straight to the dancefloor with his new electro-pop love song ‘One That You Love’.

The Naarm/Melbourne-based artist has played all over the US and Australia in various projects since 2012, including huge festivals on home turf Bluesfest and Splendour in the Grass. Pinkerton has an impressive trophy cabinet – being named winner of the Alex Legg Memorial Foundation Scholarship in 2020 and the Moorambilla Voices Remix Competition, placing as a Finalist at the Dolphin Music Awards for Best Male Vocalist, as well as being offered scholarships to study abroad in North Carolina.

Following his 2020 single ‘Thrill Of The Fall’ and ‘Ready Or Not’ collab with Matt Marcii comes the joy-filled and heartfelt ‘One That You Love’.

The track confidently combines high-impact, polished production with shiny moments of textured electro-magic. It’s easy to see that ‘One That You Love’ will become a song that is exactly as its title implies. This eletro-pop dance ballad’s magnetism is in the chemistry between Pinkerton’s vocal mastery, a dynamic beat and that bursting, singalong chorus.

Revealing what inspired the track, Pinkerton says:

“‘One That You Love’ is about seeing through someone and realising they are more than flesh and blood, that they have a beauty that extends beyond our physical world. It’s the existential question of, are we more than these bodies, and are our souls intertwined into something so divine that even the gods would sing songs of our love.”

The multi-talented musician has always put his heart into his work, as demonstrated by his dedication to writing the recent single ‘I’m In Love’ for his partner which was then premiered on her favourite podcast, Life Uncut (the #3 most listened to podcast in Australia). Pinkerton’s music has also received attention from ZZZ FM, Casey Radio 97.7FM, Bay FM, ABC Far North Coast, Radio Eastern FM, Joy 94.9FM to name a few.
