DMA’S release new album THE GLOW and share new single ‘Criminals’ Due to unprecedented pre-sale demand – six new & final shows added, 18 dates in total! Tix on sale today at noon The band appeared on The Project last night - watch here DMA’S will hold a virtual album listening party with fans tonight at 9.30pm AEST via their Facebook & YouTube DMA’S Live – THE GLOW special airing at 3pm on Channel 9 tomorrow (Sat 11th July) Today it is with great excitement that I OH YOU present DMA’S highly anticipated third studio album, THE GLOW, with a spotlight on the band’s new single ‘Criminals’. Recorded and mixed by multi-Grammy Award winning producer Stuart Price (The Killers, New Order, Madonna) at the historic Westlake Recording Studios in Hollywood, THE GLOW is a step up for the band in every sense. With two top #10 ARIA albums, 4x ARIA-nominations, and multiple ARIA Platinum and ARIA Gold singles already under their belt, THE GLOW marks a leap forward for DMA’S that is bigger, bolder and brighter than ever, and shows just how far they’ve come.  DMA’S 2016 debut album Hill’s End was recorded in guitarist Johnny Took’s rundown Newtown apartment, where they would start the day by flipping a mattress up against the wall in an attempt to block out the traffic noise from a nearby highway. This time, working with one of the world’s most renowned producers (in a studio once frequented by Quincy Jones) the band were able to take their song writing to the next level, resulting in an anthemic pop record that sees the band fulfil their world-class potential with a collection of songs destined for arenas. From the New Order meets Pet Shop Boys dance vibes of ‘Life Is A Game Of Changing’ to the heartfelt, Lennon-esque ‘Learning Alive’, THE GLOW is a collection of fresh, impassioned songs that push the boundaries of what DMA’S “are” while proving their unwavering ability to write sensational and timeless songs. THE GLOW’s huge first single ‘Silver’ debuted into the world in late 2019 and has become DMA’S fastest streaming song to date (with over 8.5 million streams in the space of a few months). Quickly championed by fans across the country, ‘Silver’ was voted #20 in triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2019 (their 6th consecutive year in the countdown). Follow-up single ‘Life Is A Game Of Changing’ took the band to another level, premiering on the UK’s BBC Radio 1 and landing ‘Record Of The Week’ on the UK’s Radio X, later receiving official remixes from dance royalty Orbital, Melbourne producer Willaris. K and Martin Buttrich. The album’s title track ‘The Glow’ was added to Daytime Playlist at Radio X, and latest single ‘Criminals’ which premiered via Richard Kingsmill on triple j earlier this week, is proving to be one of the biggest pop moments on the record.   “This song is my favourite off the record, I love the way it turned out and we had a lot of fun recording it.” - Tommy O’Dell THE GLOW has seen plenty of early support from the likes of The Sun (UK), Dork, Q Magazine (4 stars), Uncut (7/10), Clash (8/10), NME AU, Rolling Stone AU and Consequence of Sound. This week has been a huge release week for the band, seeing them appear on The Project, The Today Show, Triple M Hot Breakfast, ABC TV and across daily newspapers, with much more to come! 8/10 “One of the most riotous new live bands, DMA’S have managed to bring that energy to the studio and fully deserve to bask in the glow of their success.”  - Long Live Vinyl “An album evenly weighted with dance elements and full-blown pop excitement.” - The AU Review 4/5 “Amid another hatful of huge choruses, this third LP delves deeper into the deft shoegaze-y texturing of synths and guitars the trio started on 2018’s For Now.” - Q Magazine 8/10 “Stimulating and surprising, it is a remarkable result that allows guitars to count as much as the inclusion of digital beats and sequencers, and one where pop sensibility is as essential as exploration.” - Clash   8.5/10 "The Glow isn’t just another album in the band’s discography. It sounds like a coming of age, an album that is limitless in its imagination and one that defies genre limitations..The Glow combines different musical styles that showcases the Australian trio at their very best." - The Line Of Best Fit 4/5 "Every moment of ‘The Glow’ sees the band step up...It’s not just the music that’s on another level: lyrically, ‘The Glow’ sees DMA’s at their most vulnerable, most excitable and most inspiring...‘The Glow’ is a hyper-charged record of dance and decadence. A bold step forward that sees DMA’s coming into their own." - NME To celebrate the release of THE GLOW, this week DMA’S announced an intimate run of stripped-back shows at Sydney’s Factory Theatre in July/Aug. Due to unprecedented pre-sale demand for the first 12 dates revealed, last night the band added an additional and final six shows. In line with updated regulations around live entertainment, the band will be playing to limited capacity crowds, with the multiple shows giving more fans a chance to be some of the first in the world to hear their new material live for the very first time. Tickets go on sale today at noon, head to frontiertouring.com/DMAS for tickets. Having performed a sold out show at London’s iconic 5,000 capacity O2 Academy Brixton before the world went into lockdown, these new dates are DMA’S first gigs in many months, with local fans scoring the chance to be the very first in the world to witness the band’s latest material live on stage. Those eager to remember the joy of DMA'S live can tune into Channel 9 this Saturday (Jul 11) for a very special screening; 'DMA'S Live - THE GLOW' at 3:00PM AEST. From bedroom recordings and Sydney pubs to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the biggest names in music, THE GLOW is a record about embracing change and taking risks. Every achievement is the result of DMA’S unwavering dedication to their craft. THE GLOW sees the band expand the limits of their production style and use of texture and sound, while still retaining the integrity of who they are as writers. And boy, has the risk paid off. Tune into DMA'S Facebook and YouTube tonight at 9.30pm AEST to join Tommy, Johnny and Mason for a virtual listening party, as they live stream THE GLOW in full for the first time and take questions from fans throughout.
