Today, DJ Seinfeld (real name Armand Jakobsson) shares ‘She Loves Me’ the third and final track to be released from his highly anticipated forthcoming album Mirrors out September 3 on Ninja Tune. ‘She Loves Me’ see’s Seinfeld showcase his signature sound and features fellow Swedish artist Stella Explorer, whose hypnotically warm and catchy vocals we hear throughout.

“This song is called ‘She Loves Me’ and features the ridiculously talented Stella Explorer. I was connected with Stella by my friend Oskar who runs the label Year0001. He had sent me some of her stuff, I loved it, and so he put us in contact”.

“Stella and I mailed some music back and forth, and one day I received the beautiful vocal that is in the piece today. I hold this song extremely close to my heart, and I can’t wait for you all to hear it. Much Love, Armand”

Speaking more on the collaboration Stella Explorer commented that “The fine line between self affirmation and paranoia is alluring to me. And in music it’s always present. It’s deceptive, and lyrics can change meaning at any time. I think the fewer words you use, the more they shift. And by combining that with different intentions like you do when you collaborate with someone (like this), it makes the outcome exciting.”

Recorded between Berlin and Malmo, Mirrors is the follow-up to Seinfeld’s critically acclaimed 2017 debut album Time Spent Away From U and his first for Ninja Tune. Named after a quote by Armand’s favourite writer, Argentine novelist Julio Cortázar, the album finds the producer in a more settled and grounded mood after an unfortunate family incident forced the producer to spend more time at home in his native Sweden over the past few years. Recently released lead single ‘U Already Know’, an  Italo-tinged summer anthem and dance floor ready second single ‘These Things Will Come To Be’ received impressive support from the likes of The GuardianRAThe FaderDJ MagClashXLR8R and Mixmag, who also featured Seinfeld as their July cover star. Radio support has also come from the likes of Annie MacPete TongJack Saunders and the Blessed Madonna.

Seinfeld also recently launched a new monthly live-series on Spotify’s Greenroom platform. Titled ‘GALAZY ROOM’ the show features informal discussions around one of Armand’s burning interests: Space. DJ Seinfeld, musicians and friends will join Armand to discuss everything from The Universe to Space Exploration to Unexplained Aerial Phenomena, and maybe find time to share some music too. This week he also announced a new whatsapp voicemail hotline where he’s inviting fans to be more interactive by leaving their own personal voice notes for potential future sampling in his music.

Rising to prominence in 2016 as part of the lo-fi house scene alongside producers including Ross From Friends and Mall Grab, DJ Seinfeld (whose name is a result of extended sessions watching the classic American sitcom after a breakup and move to Barcelona) released his debut album in 2017 which received plaudits from Rolling Stone and Pitchfork to name a couple. It also gained attention from contemporaries like FlumeFlying LotusBonobo and Martin Garrix and saw Seinfeld become a globally in-demand DJ playing sets everywhere from Glastonbury to CoachellaWarehouse ProjectSónar By Night and MoMaPS1, sharing stages with everyone from Jeff Mills to StormzyUnderworld and Bicep as well as accompanying Disclosure on several dates of their US tour. In 2018 he became part of a select group of DJs that includes Moodymann, DJ Koze and Nina Kraviz when he was chosen to curate an edition of the iconic DJ Kicks mix series. To top it off, Aphex Twin began playing his track ‘Sakura’ in his live shows.
