Follow ABRACADABRA on Twitch & Tune In Friday!

A 3-day Virtual Festival for Bye Bye Plastic, June 19th-21st LIVE on Twitch

ABRACADABRA & BLOND:ISH are also giving away 1 Bitcoin (worth around $9,500 at the time of announce) to a lucky winner

Hey presto, ABRACADABRA, the magic movement conjured up by Vivie-Ann Bakos aka BLOND:ISH and Liana Hillison, brings you music, magic, self love and sustainability roundtables in a festival to benefit Bye Bye Plastic Foundation. Get ready to depart; you are about to choose your own adventure…

What’s up their sleeve? Not just a highly curated mix of mindblowing sounds from Diplo, Nahko (Live), Nightmares on Wax, BLOND:ISH, Themba, Lunar Disco; not just magic from mentalist/illusionists; but an embodiment of our best possible selves, mirrored through self love, brain games, yoga, 3D sound exploration, meditation and more (‘The Class’’ Taryn Toomey and Jai Dev Singh will also feature)… with surprises to keep your inner child alive.

‘ABRA is all about creating your own reality, because magic is everywhere!’

Always forward thinking, ABRACADABRA is one of the first electronic music brands to run single-use plastic free events. Since 2017, their vibes have throbbed in Tulum, Tomorrowland, and Mykonos… Now they’re adapting their craft of putting on legendary parties in paradise and shifting to our current world; ABRA TV provides a one stop show to support artists and creatives, providing a space for them to connect and create magic with their talents and passions, ‘all around our beloved music, the glue that brings us all together.’

ABRACADABRA Virtual Festival has partnered with Bye Bye Plastic Foundation, the grass roots organisation on track to remove single-use plastic from the music industry by 2025. BBP, dreamed into being and led by Vivie-Ann, has inspired thousands of DJs and event promoters to join the #plasticfreeparty mission with their ‘Eco Rider’, onsite activations, beach cleans, and innovative research since launching in 2018. BBP officially became a Foundation in January 2020, and have partnered and consulted with industry giants such as International Music Summit (IMS) & SXM Festival and led sustainability panels at ADE Green, IMS, Brighton Music Conference and beyond.

Bye Bye Plastic will host experts and brands like Mogu’s Maurizio Montalti (‘Mycelium Magic’) and industry trailblazers like Elektrik Fantasy Festival and Ultra Music Festival (‘Miami’s Sustainable Party Fairies’) to thrash out new ideas and set a path for sustainable raving.

This is only the beginning for this adventure, as the channel will be developing into something increasingly inclusive. ABRACADABRA TV will be a hub to show you magic exists and show you how to create it in your own life so you can spread it far and wide.  ‘We’re starting with this festival, and the channel will constantly be evolving, and we’ll be inviting our community to share their own passions with us and each other.’

And! To celebrate its first virtual festival and to give back to the community ABRACADABRA is giving 1 Bitcoin and lifetime subscriptions to ABRA TV on Twitch to a group of lucky friends. To enter the contest, Instagram users can tag 2 or more friends in the comments on ABRA’s lineup announcement post (@welcometoabracadabra) and anyone can RSVP at https://www.abracadabra.life/rsvp to enter again for an extra chance to win. Winner will be announced live this Sunday June 21st.

Tune in to ABRACADABRA Festival on Twitch on Friday!

IDLES DETAIL FORTHCOMING LP3 ULTRA MONO – OUT SEPTEMBER 25 + LISTEN TO NEW SINGLE ‘GROUNDS’

by the partae June 17, 2020
written by the partae

On Friday 25 September, IDLES will release their anticipated third album – Ultra Mono – via Partisan Records / Liberator Music. Accompanying today’s announcement, the band have shared album highlight and thunderous call-to-action ‘Grounds’ alongside a music video (dir. by Rob French).

Frontman Joe Talbot says of ‘Grounds’:
“We wanted to write a song that embodied self-belief, and gave us self-belief – a counter-punch to all the doubt we build up from all the noise we so easily let in. We wanted to make the sound of our own hearts’ marching band, armed with a jack hammer and a smile. We wanted to make the sound of our engine starting. So we did. Thank you.”
Ahead of release, IDLES will also host a series of three live performances from an iconic studio space (to be named later) on Aug 29 & 30, which will be professionally recorded, filmed, and livestreamed. Upon purchase of a ticket, attendees will receive a unique link to access the performance live. Tickets on sale now, more info and link to purchase HERE.Recorded in Paris and produced by Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire) and Adam ‘Atom’ Greenspan (Anna Calvi, Cut Copy), with Kenny Beats (FKA Twigs, DaBaby, Vince Staples) providing additional programming, Ultra Mono was sonically constructed to capture the feeling of a hip-hop record. Across all twelve brutally relevant tracks, the band double down on the vitriolic sneer and blunt social commentary of their past work, with themes of active presence, inclusivity, class, gender inequality, nationalism, community, and toxic masculinity remaining ever-present. Ultra Mono also features guest vocals from Jehnny Beth (Savages), and additional guest contributions from Warren Ellis (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), David Yow, and Jamie Cullum.

If their last record – 2018’s Joy As An Act Of Resistance – was meant to detail IDLES’ manifesto, then Ultra Mono is the sound of the band heading into battle, battering ram in hand, for those tenets. The phrase “momentary acceptance of the self” serves as spiritual guide and mantra throughout, as Talbot elaborates on further in an essay printed inside the album’s physical packaging (read that HERE).

In addition to sharing the tracklist for Ultra Mono, the band have also made available the dates on which all upcoming album tracks + videos will be released (see below).

Joy As An Act Of Resistance was one of the best reviewed rock records of 2018, debuting top 5 on the official UK album charts. Joy earned the band instantly legendary performances at Glastonbury, Jools Holland, NPR’s Tiny Desk, and sold out tours across the world. They were profiled by the NY Times and PBS NewsHour as part of a group of new bands tearing down outdated perceptions of masculinity, won the coveted Ivor Novello Award for Best Album, and were nominated for the Mercury Prize and a Brit Award last year. All 10,000 tickets to the band’s Dec 2019 headline performance at London’s Alexandra Palace sold out in under 24 hours.

After many trips around the world (and back), NY-based pop-rockers State Champs are excited to be celebrating a decade of music, memories and even some madness with fans. State Champs will be releasing State Champs Unplugged, a 6-track EP of stripped down versions of four brand new songs as well as two fan-favorite tracks from Living Proof, due out August 14 via Pure Noise Records / Sony Music Australia.
PRE-ORDER STATE CHAMPS UNPLUGGED EP HERE
State Champs will be hosting their 10-Year Anniversary Variety Show online for fans on June 22. The evening will feature performances from home, the exclusive premiere of new music from the EP, special guests, a brand new webisode of “Shot Boys”, a live Q&A and more. Fans can pre-order the EP when they purchase tickets to the 10-Year Celebration at https://www.statechampsny.com/.

“We’re excited to Celebrate our 10th Birthday as a band in the best fashion: An interactive online variety show where we get to hang out with fans, perform, reminisce, and tell stories from the past 10 years,” shares vocalist Derek DiScanio. “We’ll be bringing in some surprise guests, and even premiering new music.  That’s right, those who purchase tickets to the event will be the first to hear some brand new tunes and music videos from our upcoming Unplugged EP. There will be exclusive merch deals right on the event page and we’ll top the night off with a live Q&A hangout with everyone. This is the most unique event we’ve ever thrown and we can’t wait to share it with everyone as we ring in the next chapter of Champs.“

Given that this is a very important election year, State Champs has partnered with HeadCount to offer a 50% discount on tickets for all fans who register to vote. For those that are not of age to register, they can pledge with HeadCount and still receive the discount. For more information, please visit HeadCount.org/StateChamps.

In addition to this partnership with HeadCount, State Champs recently unveiled ways they will be helping to use their platform to champion the Black Lives Matter movement. “There’s an incredible movement happening right now in our country and throughout the world. Black voices that are tired of the injustice, the discrimination, the inequality, louder than ever in a choir fighting to be seen and accepted without prejudice, and it’s long overdue,” shared the band on social media. “We are excited to lend our voices and support alongside those protesting, donating, making petitions, gathering and distributing resources, and raising awareness. It’s time to listen, learn and act, because it’s time for a change.” Fans can head to https://www.statechampsny.com/ for a limited edition t-shirt and the opportunity to win unique pieces of State Champs memorabilia through raffles.

State Champs Unplugged, dropping in time for the band’s 10-year anniversary, is much more than a set of stripped-down reimagined bangers. Instead, the EP offers up four brand new tracks crafted specifically for this setting, plus a surprising reworking of “Criminal” and a moving new take on “Dead and Gone.” It’s a record that’s reflective of the diverse listening habits of the foursome, unapologetic about their love of everything from Pop to Country without sacrificing the upbeat enthusiasm of the central influences that first moved their collective souls.

“The Unplugged EP is special for us for many reasons, one main reason being the writing process. We feel like we really went back to our roots, you know, just the band, in a room with an acoustic guitar, writing songs and having fun,” shared DiScanio on the upcoming EP. “We tend to execute our best material in an environment that is stress free and organic. Our fans have been asking for new acoustic, stripped down material for quite some time, we’re happy to say it’s here.”

This will be the first taste of new music from State Champs since their 2018 release Living Proof. The 13-track collection is the most ambitious and cohesive work in the band’s catalog. While securing the #9 Top Current Albums, #28 Top 200 and #3 Rock Billboard charting positions, this album has seen impressive praise from fans and press alike.

State Champs has always embraced the idea of getting their music in front of as many people as possible. They aren’t running away from the sound they’ve established; if anything, it’s that scrappy punk spirit that drives them to continue to reach further and further. They’ve done pop arena tours, metal tours; they’ve even played a show on a beach. Wherever they turn up, they are going to be sincere and passionate. They are going to have fun. And moreover, so will you. This is an arena-ready band, capable of moving any kind of crowd, with the heart and soul of DIY freedom.

State Champs is Derek DiScanio (Vocals), Tyler Szalkowski (Guitar), Ryan Scott Graham (Bass) and Evan Ambrosio (Drums).

Western Australian artist Paige Valentine is ready to lift the veil on the stunning video accompaniment to her latest ethereal single ‘Pure’. Teaming up with local Freo filmmaker Luna Laure, the video opens the door to a new world of metaphorical wonder and awe, shining a spotlight on both the nuanced delicacies of Paige’s songwriting and the subtle yet detailed lens through which Laure creates. “The experience of working with Laure and her crew was once in a lifetime. We shot on film, built the props over two days, one of the crew half jokingly asked for a wall in my house to be painted for the shot in a day and my best friend came over in her lunch break and sure enough - gave us a pink wall. It was shot at my home studio "Lucky Blue" here in Fremantle, which was a perfect fit with its quirky lino, old wallpaper wall (mid-reno) and Laure (director) and Bee (styling/hair/MUA) dreamt up the finer details of the scenes. When Laure came over for the first time, I ended up giving her a bunch of plants from my garden I'd grown from seed without realising she'd built the plot around me growing a plant representing love / relationships. I now have a permanent hole in the lino from the fire that resulted in my manager hiding under the kitchen table with a bucket of water, but the clip was so worth it and we all had so much fun in the two days of the shoot, ending with a late night of red wine, pizza and lots of post-covid hugs. . Truly honoured to work with such incredible and fun creatives.” – Paige Valentine "In an ever changing world where dichotomous male/female relationship are no longer the only norm, I wanted to put a twist on what the love interest could look like. A subtle metaphor for how love can grow and thrive, but also stifle and suffocate." – Luna Laure Releasing new music in 2020, a year that will go on record as being cursed for the music industry at large, Paige Valentine has found herself swapping festival stages for live streams... a trade that may feel like a step down in the interim, but is ultimately the shape of things to come for musicians. Paige has embraced the sea change, launching ‘Pure’ mid-lockdown to a worldwide captive audience of people much in need of some light at the end of the tunnel. And this has always been what Paige Valentine’s music provides: light. Already a five-time WAM Award nominee and Vanda & Young International Song Competition finalist, Paige’s songwriting has gained her substantial accolades. Flattering as this may be, Valentine’s motivation is purely her music; to write the best songs she can, and deliver them with honesty and tenacity. A new direction for a new era, the release of ‘Pure’ will not only bookmark the next chapter in Paige Valentine’s career but the strange times into which it was born, where all of us are reminded by its absence, just how precious live music actually is. Paige shows no signs of slowing down in 2020, with another single already in the works and hints of an EP on the way, so keep an ear to the ground for what will surely be more impressive things to come. After 11 episodes, Delivered, Live is set to lower the curtains on its first season this Saturday night. 90s rock heroes Killing Heidi will close the show out with a bang, and the show will also feature replays of some of the best moments from the season, as voted for by the viewers. The brainchild of The Handshake Agency, the show was created to stream live gigs, fully amplified and staged, into the homes of viewers worldwide. Every performer and crew member was paid for their time and viewers were able to experience live entertainment again, while the world went into lockdown. Throughout the season, over 10,000 tickets were sold, and over $888,000 was injected back into the live entertainment economy – via the musicians, comedians, venues, crew booking agents, managers and production crew involved. The weekly show gave many creatives the chance to share their art and generate the feeling that there was a light at the end of the tunnel. The show gave hope to many businesses who were able to survive because of what was being produced. Something that can’t be measured is what it gave to the viewership. Viewers created new friendships in the YouTube chat room, and were able to discover new music each week that they may not have otherwise discovered. For some viewers, getting out to see live music and comedy was a challenge, even before the pandemic, due to geography, illness, family/work situations etc – Delivered, Live made live entertainment accessible to all again. Music From The Home Front saw an unprecedented line up of 50+ of the most iconic musicians in Australia and New Zealand come together with incredible live-streamed performances – filmed in lockdown – to commemorate our nations’ rich Anzac history and pay respect to the frontline workers fighting COVID-19.

Now, it’s time to relive the spellbinding concert event once more. Straight after “The Voice” on Monday 22 June, tune into the Nine Network at 9pm AEST for a one-hour highlights encore screening of Music From The Home Front.

“Guy Sebastian reworked his biggest hit ‘Battle Scars’ to reference the concert’s themes … Regardless of how Australia and New Zealand navigate celebrating ANZAC day in 2021, an annual Music From The Home Front concert would be a welcome new tradition”
– The Daily Telegraph

“Who didn’t cry during Music From The Home Front? … An absolute stand-out comes when Bliss N Eso team up with the incomparable Kate Ceberano … David Campbell describes Carry You from Tim Minchin and Missy Higgins as “exquisite” – and he’s not wrong.” – Stack Magazine

OCEAN ALLEY SHARE SPICY TAKE ON ISO-COOKING THEIR THIRD ALBUM LONELY DIAMOND IS OUT FRIDAY + TRIPLE J FEATURE ALBUM THIS WEEK

“one of the nation’s most revered bands” – Life Without Andy

“a rich, expansive universe that’ll delight longtime fans and newcomers alike.” – NME Australia

Australian masters of groove Ocean Alley have shared their own spicy take on iso-cooking tutorials, with inspiration from their recent single ‘Hot Chicken’. The deep fried clip comes ahead of their third album Lonely Diamond dropping this Friday, nabbing the highly-coveted triple j Feature Album this week.

Pre-order the album here.

Drawing from the nostalgia of music eras past, Lonely Diamond combines 70s guitar rock, country and western, old school funk and synth-heavy new wave to create a deeply contemplative and atmospheric odyssey. Following from 2018’s Chiaroscuro, the album feels like a natural and seamless progression – there’s an ingrained familiarity from the first listen – all the elements that define Ocean Alley’s sound are there, but more intricately arranged; new instruments are introduced, the production is pushed to new limits and the band has created complete synergy between each track.

From its sprawling opening notes, album opener ‘Dahlia’ mystically sets the scene with an intergalactic introduction, immediately signifying elements of exploration and ‘the unknown’. The introspective title-track ‘Lonely Diamond’ engulfs the listener in a wave of melancholy before finding purpose with warmth and tenderness, while the bright and dreamy ‘Up In There’ creates an uplifting sense of hopefulness and reassurance that everything will be okay. As the record continues, the expansive soundscape grows and conquers, ‘Puesta de Sol’ and ‘Luna’ transporting the listener to the middle of a dusty stand-off in a state of isolation and emptiness.

Produced by long-time collaborator Callum Howell at the idyllic Grove Studios (built by INXS’ Garry Gary Beers), Lonely Diamond follows the success of Ocean Alley’s acclaimed second full-length LP Chiaroscuro. With its infectious blend of psychedelic surf-rock, the record propelled the band into national prominence and saw them sell 25,000 tickets over 15 sold out shows that year in Australia alone – culminating with their ARIA nominated, double platinum-selling single ‘Confidence’ taking out #1 in triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2018. Their breakthrough year was backed-up with 30 sold out shows around the world in 2019, plus major festival appearances at Reading & Leeds Festival (UK), Splendour In The Grass (AUS), Sziget (HU), BottleRock (US) and more, with the band amassing more than 260 million streams to date.

Parlour Gigs - Bringing Back Live Music

Parlour Gigs – Bringing Back Live Music

by the partae June 15, 2020
written by the partae

“I’m really excited to be using the Parlour platform in a time where regular gigs are off the cards. The opportunity to play smaller shows at people’s homes is such a great way to adapt to the times.” – Ali Barter

Parlour is an online platform that allows artists to tour directly into their fan’s homes.
Since launching in 2015, Parlour has facilitated over 2000 gigs around the world with artists such as Ben Lee, Sarah Blasko, Dallas Frasca, Sarah McLeod, Chris Cheney (The Living End), Robert Forster and Harry James Angus.  Gigs have limited numbers and offer a unique experience to both artists and fans to make and appreciate music within the familiar setting of a home.

Now, as we approach a world emerging from the COVID-19 crisis, a return to regular touring for artists will still be a while away. Small capacity shows in fan’s homes will be a safe, controlled way of reintroducing live music into the public sphere. Parlour is a way for artists to start playing, earning and connecting with their fans again.

Beyond just making these gigs easy to put together, Parlour provides a way for fans to directly support their musicians and the Australian Music industry, with 83% of each show’s ticket sales going direct to the artist’s pocket.
It’s a way for artists to expand their revenue options, whilst building and connecting with their fanbase.
Artists/managers can sign up and start booking gigs almost immediately, and fans can campaign to request artists to play shows too.

With lockdown laws gradually easing across the country, now is the time to book your favorite artist to play in your home, and help the music industry to get back on its feet.

Tours on the horizon so far are Ali Barter, Busby Marou and the Pierce Brothers, with many more to come! If you are an artist/manager wanting to arrange a tour or one off show, click here: www.parlourgigs.com

If you want to see who is touring with Parlour, click here

“Parlour has always been a good way to directly connect with fans but in the wake of COVID Parlour could be a life line in the rebuild of the music business while we wait for pubs and clubs to re-open. People are busting for action.” – Sarah Mcleod

“It was genuinely exciting to connect with different communities on their home turf and to be reminded of the tender role songs can play in people’s lives.” – Ben Lee

“I love using Parlour. I’ve used it to offset touring costs in both Australia and the US, and perhaps most importantly to build and connect with my fanbase.
Parlour shows will be the first live performances for me when the time is right to emerge from our cocoons. We really don’t know how things like flight costs and venue restrictions will impact traditional touring yet, and we don’t know how comfortable people will be with big crowds. But we do know that rocking up to someone’s backyard and having a great time will be an option very soon, and a really important income earning opportunity for musicians.” – Bobby Alu

“I’ve played some fantastic Parlour shows, and I really enjoyed each one. Small gatherings in a homely environment is the perfect setting for musicians to share their music during this rebuilding phase.” – Sally Seltmann

Platform 18 announce online festival with Jackmaster, Domenic Cappello and Fraz:ier on Saturday 4th July

by the partae June 15, 2020
written by the partae
https://www.facebook.com/Platform18Glasgow/
On Saturday July 4th, Glasgow’s Platform 18 invite you to join an online stream headlined by Jackmaster b2b Domenic Cappello, Frazi.er, Maria Airam b2b Lunarplatz and founder Ivan Kutz. The stream will be raising funds for the charity Scottish Association for Mental Health, who Platform 18 have worked with from the start, and is a great way to come together and forget whatever woes you may have during these strange times.
The stream runs from 4pm until 9pm and plays out on the same day that this year’s festival was meant happen with world class headliners Richie Hawtin, Floorplan, Fjaak (live), ANNA and more all playing one visually spectacular main stage in a unique urban setting.
Platform 18 offers something new and fresh for Glaswegian house and techno lovers and has done since 2013. It comes from the mind of a promoter who has been putting on events for over 12 years and gives you an intimate connection with DJs: everything is set up so the raver and DJ are in sync, the selectors can join punters in the crowd for hugs and even high fives during set and they have done many times in the past, which always makes this a very special and standout occasion.
While this stream won’t replace the main event, it is a great way to connect with likeminded raves, from the safety of your own home, and hear some cutting edge electronic music by some masters of the form.
Donations can be made to SAMH at any time via the JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/platform18streetfestival

MDLBEAST Freqways launches 12-hour digital music festival featuring Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Maceo Plex and more

by the partae June 15, 2020
written by the partae
The 12-hour digital music festival from Freqways will feature Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Maceo Plex and more from unique locations around the globe.
Game-changing Middle Eastern lifestyle and entertainment brand MDLBEAST are to launch MDLBEAST Freqways – an immersive musical adventure and virtual travel experience that takes you around the world via a 12-hour, multi-stage online music festival that starts at 7pm (GMT+3) on June 20th and ends at 7am on World Music Day. Featuring international artists such as Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Maceo Plex, Claptone, Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, Sasha, Butch, Art Department, Gui Boratto, Benny Benassi and regional stars such as Baloo, Cosmicat, Jade x Tala and Antabi Brothers. The festival offers a platform where art, music and culture combine and bring people together through the common language of music.

MDLBEAST is a global creative platform setting the tone for music, art and culture in the Middle East. Their flagship annual event, Soundstorm, was the region’s largest festival to date, with the world’s largest ever festival stage, and had an attendance of 400,000 people over three days. In a notable evolution from previous years, the event brought quality underground music out of the local shadows and into the global spotlight, forever changing the scene and inspiring the next generation, bridging gaps between cultures and offering opportunities for collaboration and representation of regional and international talents under one umbrella.

Expanding these core values of spreading joy through music, arts and culture to the world, Freqways will be a borderless online festival and virtual travel experience where movement is unlimited despite us all being in lockdown. It will bring people together from diverse backgrounds and unite through the common language of music, so once virtual travellers get their boarding pass, they will head to any one of the three carefully conceived boarding gates (stages) and prepare for take off, all from the comfort of their own home.

What’s more, MDLBEAST Freqways will integrate with existing virtual museums and galleries to emulate the cultural experiences people seek when they travel. As such, this is an opportunity to explore rich Saudi culture, art and heritage, experience new sights and sounds and discover things in a reimagined way via your desktop. Adding to the immersive and escapist theme of air travel, MDLBEAST-branded merch is available before, during and after the event in a Duty Free-style area that perfectly compliments the flight experience.

Ahmad Alammary, Chief Creative Officer says “The music industry in the region is raw and the merging of neo-culture and technology creates a new buzz, inspiring young musicians to create fresh, unexpected music. MLDBEAST is here to celebrate that… Music and art are universal. A language that can bring people together, inspiring new thriving, creative communities.”

Freqways is an opportunity to showcase both local Saudi talent and iconic locations across the Kingdom. A roster of Saudi DJs, will be performing their sets in beautiful and diverse landscapes – many of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites – in places like Diriyah, Abha, Al Baha, Al Balad in Jeddah and more. Meanwhile, international DJs play from Berlin, Washington, Miami, Las Vegas, Amsterdam, New York, Dallas and many other cities around the world.

This creative exchange, regional showcase and global coming together of like minded art, music and culture lovers is to be a historic moment for dance music in the Middle East and beyond.

In an exclusive sneak preview, Tomorrowland is giving a very first look into the magical and newly created Tomorrowland location it has been building over the past few months, giving people across the globe a first taste of the dazzling world they will be able to navigate through during Tomorrowland Around the World, the digital festival.

Each stage will premiere brand new music and video content from the world’s best artists and a large portion of the fireworks and laser shows characteristic of Tomorrowland. The Mainstage – embodying the theme of 2020 ‘The Reflection of Love – Chapter 1’ – will be graced by the biggest industry heavyweights as Afrojack, Alan Walker, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Don Diablo, Kölsch, Lost Frequencies, Martin Garrix, NERVO, Oliver Heldens Paul Kalkbrenner, Steve Aoki, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Tiësto, Timmy Trumpet and Vintage Culture.

The wonderful Atmosphere stage will be headlined by the likes of techno legends Amelie Lens, Dixon, Joyhauser, Reinier Zonneveld, Stephan Bodzin and Tale of Us. Several other house & techno music tastemakers including Adriatique, ANNA, Adam Beyer, Cellini, Charlotte de Witte, Joris Voorn and Patrice Baumel will deliver the most mesmerizing and atmospheric sounds at the mythical Core stage – a crowd favourite and definitely one of the most unique stages at Tomorrowland.

Tomorrowland’s iconic Freedom Stage will see Claptone, Jack Back and Solardo return, with hardstyle acts like Coone, Da Tweekaz and Wildstylez on the Q-Dance stage. Some of the world’s best artists in future bass, dubstep and trap music – Carnage, Eptic, Gryffin, Netsky, NGHTMRE, San Holo and Yellow Claw – will gather at one of the brand new stages.

Dimitri Vegas: “We’ve deliberately been holding out on doing livestreams as we wanted this to be really special. We had the opportunity to see the stage designs of the digital festival and it will be nothing like the world has ever seen. It’s truly an immersive and unique experience and surpasses any expectations someone can have when they hear the term ‘virtual festival’. People are just not ready for what they are about to see. We can’t wait!”

Armin van Buuren: “Tomorrowland Around the World is a great opportunity for me to connect with my fans during these lockdown times and I hope that this will help everyone to hold on for a bit longer until we can party together on actual festival grounds again! Very delighted to be part of this ground-breaking event.”

Steve Aoki: “Tomorrowland is always a special festival for me so I’m very honoured to be a part of Tomorrowland’s digital festival that will be uniting so many people from around the world in a way that hasn’t been done before. The connection between amazing music, breath-taking 3D design and the latest filming techniques from Hollywood get me extremely excited!”

Paul Kalkbrenner: “I’m very honoured to be part of this exciting new project and I’m thrilled to see the outcome, once it airs. Tomorrowland and its crew have always played an integral role throughout the last years and it has become more of a friendship than a pure work relation. Thanks for having me again on the Mainstage.”

Amelie Lens: “I am very excited to be playing at the biggest digital festival ever. I’ve heard that hundreds of people are currently working day and night to create a never before seen experience, so I honestly cannot wait for the last weekend of July.”

Festival visitors will be able to navigate easily through a magical and newly created Tomorrowland location with a PC, laptop, smartphone or tablet – you don’t need special VR goggles – and explore the entire festival site in an interactive way together with friends. Besides the performances there will be all kinds of interactive experiences to choose from, including inspirational webinars, games and workshops related to lifestyle, food, fashion and the Tomorrowland Foundation. Together with the performances, Tomorrowland Around the World will be a full day/weekend experience between 15h00–01h00 CEST. There will be a ‘time-zone-friendly’ option for visitors from Asia and North or South America.
The People of Tomorrow are invited to experience this unique event together with friends: dressing up with your best festival outfit, putting up tents in your back garden to create your own DreamVille, setting up a big screen, inviting your beloved ones for a nice barbecue with music and an amazing festival experience, decorating your balcony or throwing a party in your living room – this weekend is all about uniting through the power of music in a responsible and safe way.

UNTITLED GROUP LAUNCHES THE DRIVE-IN MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT POP-UP PRECINCT 15 | 06 | 2020

Untitled Group have just announced the launch of ‘The Drive-In’ – Victoria’s first drive-in live concert venue.

This unique event space aims to reignite Victoria’s hurting live arts industry which was brought to a complete halt once COVID-19 restrictions came into effect.

The first month of music programming will be announced tomorrow (Tuesday 16 June) which will include 12 large scale concert events, each of which will create over 200 jobs within the sector.

Curated by the team behind Beyond The Valley, Ability Fest, Grapevine Gathering, Wildlands & more, this pop-up precinct will play host to some of Australia’s best musical talent each weekend with an extended movie & comedy night programme to follow.

Located within the lush bowling lanes at Flemington Racecourse, ‘The-Drive-In’ will hold true to a traditional concert experience with the same calibre of production that you’d expect from any major music event.

The raised festival stage will feature large viewing screens with parking grids designed for optimal site lines and the entire site being accessible for people of all levels of ability. Complimentary tickets are being allocated to the Dylan Alcott Foundation to distribute to those with disabilities.

Untitled Group has developed event management plans with health professionals. Appropriate procedures and social distancing measures will be put in place for everyone to enjoy the show safely.

All shows have a very strict limited capacity.

Get connected to be first to find out the music program!
