Beck announces Melbourne & Sydney headline shows

Frontier Touring are delighted to announce2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee and eight-time Grammy-winner Beck will perform two intimate and unique acoustic shows in Melbourne and Sydney in April 2023.

Delving deep into his acoustic roots, these special performances will highlight the pure songcraft of Beck’s standards and rarities, his unparalleled versatility on show at his first Australia headline shows in five years. Beck will perform at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Monday 3 April, and Sydney’s Aware Super Theatre on Thursday 6 April, before heading north for a set at Byron Bay’s Bluesfest.

‘The Golden Age’, ‘Debra’, ‘Rowboat’, ‘Heart Is A Drum’, ‘Nobody’s Fault But My Own’, ‘Lost Cause’, ‘Sissyneck’, ‘Say Goodbye’, ‘Guess I’m Doing Fine’, ‘Pay No Mind’… Beck’s solo sets earlier in 2022 (in Paris, London, Nashville, and Austin) included songs from across his extraordinary catalogue.

As the title of his most recent album Hyperspace might imply, Beck has travelled light years from his emergence as a reluctant generational spokesperson when ‘Loser’ exploded from a rejected 1992 demo into a ubiquitous 1994 smash. In the decades since, his singular career has seen him explore all genres and eras of music, blurring boundaries and blazing a path into the future while foraging through the past.
