Following on from his critically praised debut single ‘One Time’, Melbourne-based artist Antoine has just returned with his captivating follow up ‘Living In Colour’ – produced and mixed by ServidSounds.

Incorporating samples from the culturally significant and hugely viral monologue of Australian Aboriginal artist Meyne Wyatt, ‘Living In Colour’ is Antoine’s uncompromising take on his experiences with racism. The track is a masterclass in storytelling nous, taking cues from luminaries like Kendrick Lamar, creating something wholly breathtaking yet heart-rending.

Antoine talks about the process behind ‘Living In Colour’:

“It just fell out of me, I felt it would make people understand the simplistic side of racism that’s constantly dealt with, rather than the back and forth arguments and debates online.”

Antoine’s debut track ‘One Time’ was widely embraced by SpotifyApple Musictriple jtriple j Unearthed and Australian community radio. It also saw support from online blogs PileratsAUD’$Cool AccidentsMixdown MagazineThe Local FrequencyThe Soundcheck and AAA Backstage.

Antoine comes from a family of musicians, who all originate from Mauritius, East Africa and Italy. His Dad is a multi-instrumentalist who still plays shows to this day, and his mother was also a back-up R&B vocalist in the ’80s. Both parents have been huge influences, making it difficult for him to have passion elsewhere.

In the coming weeks, Antoine will reveal an accompanying music video for ‘Living In Colour’.
