ALIEN TANGO
NEW SINGLE ‘1000 YEARS’ OUT NOW

London-based Spanish musician Alien Tango (real name Alberto García) has released his new single ‘1000 Years’.
“1000 Years is the first song I ever wrote for my new record, and as soon as I wrote it, I already knew it would be the last on the tracklist. I basically began from the end and reverse-engineered my way back to the beginning of the album. Still, I want it to be the first one I share with you today”, Alberto explains. “A high-energy pop rock song, it’s a love song towards everything. Fuelled by existential angst but finding a moment of enlightenment: anything could last one second or a thousand years, it doesn’t matter, what matters is the infinity of possibilities contained in the current moment”.

The song comes accompanied but a video directed by Kirin J Callinan and Nacho Errando. “The video was pretty much improvised during a couple of beautiful sunsets in Cabo de Palos, Spain”.

Alien Tango is Alberto García, an artist from Spain who lives in London but whose antennas are directed to outer space, from where he receives emissions full of psychedelia, glam, hip-hop, oriental music and helium-infected vocals. Praised by the New York Times after his performance at SxSW festival (he’s also performed at Primavera Sound and Benicàssim, among others), his musical mixture is as unpredictable as it is satisfying, with room for synthesizers, sitars, accordions and anime samples. All of which confirm this unorthodox multi-instrumentalist as one of the most peculiar and fascinating creators in the current London scene. Recently, he started a TikTok profile which exploded very quickly, reaching over 4M views and 50k+ followers in the space of a few months.
Alien Tango is currently busy putting the finishing touches to his debut album, with more details to be announced soon.
