“excellent vibes and some of the best funk and soul this city has to offer” – Trouble Juice
The Foreign Brothers and The Operatives are back co-presenting the third iteration of FLOW Festival; a day of music and arts synergy at the Footscray Community Arts. FLOW Festival this year will be part of the ALWAYS LIVE program, the first and largest event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, dedicated exclusively to live contemporary music and turning the volume up across Melbourne and Victoria, the live music capital.
Join the Flow family on Saturday 5 November 2022, hosted by DJ Tawana and rapper Yung Shōgun for another stellar line-up fusing the old and new, championing homegrown artists and bringing you the cream of the crop of international creatives past and present. Set to the backdrop of the city, get ready to bask in the gorgeous surrounds of Footscray Community Arts, located on the traditional lands of the Kulin nation. The lawns will come to life with performances from Kamaal Williams (UK) returning after his sold out ‘The Return’ tour, The Far Side (FKA The Pharcyde) (US) featuring members Imani, Fatlip and Slimkid3 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their classic debut album (Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde), commanding local hip hop, soul and R&B performers Elsy Wameyo and THNDO, plus Wayne Snow (GER), DancingWater, Emelyne, and The Tony Allen Experience ‘Twilight Commission’ performance
“The festival has managed to attract an incredibly receptive audience within a culturally safe space while putting together a very diverse and exciting line-up of musicians. Moreover, the family friendly atmosphere, the great production, the friendliness of staff and feeling of overall safety at the festival were really paramount to this success.” – Emma Donovan 2021

We acknowledge the people of the Kulin Nation as the rightful and traditional owners of the land and where our event takes place. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We also pay our respects to the deep lineage of musical and oral practices which have been maintained for generations. Sovereignty was never ceded.
