Tune into ABC and iview to catch:

Platinum certified, ARIA and six-time APRA award-winning WA outfit, Birds of Tokyo, have grown exponentially from their independent roots to become one of Australia’s most popular contemporary rock bands. They perform their brand new single ‘Weekend’ for the first time in a TV exclusive this Sunday, bringing their iconic sound to screens around the nation. ‘Weekend’ is the band’s first release since their album ‘Human Design’ debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Charts earlier this year.

Alison Wonderland needs no introduction. The Billboard-topping DJ has established herself globally as one of the most exciting artists of the genre, taking on stages at some of the world’s premiere music festivals and more. She joins us from the rooftop of LA’s iconic Capitol Building with her latest single ‘Bad Things’.

Multiple ARIA Award-winner Kate Ceberano is without doubt one of the nation’s most prolific recording artists, chalking up 28 albums across her 35-year career. Kate delivers a stunning performance of ‘Sweet Inspiration’ from Sydney’s City Recital Hall, exclusively for The Sound this Sunday. Kate’s brand-new album ‘Sweet Inspiration’ is out February 5th, 2021 and available for pre-order now.

With a career spanning over two decades, critically acclaimed Melbourne trio Something For Kate continue to be one of Australia’s most beloved trios. They perform their latest single ‘Come Back, Before I Come To My Senses’ from their just-released album, and first in over 8 years, The Modern Medieval.

Hayley Mary has quickly cemented herself as one of nation’s most exciting solo artists. Hayley’s bold new track ‘The Chain’ is an anticipated follow up to her captivating 2019 debut EP The Piss, The Perfume she performs it this week from Anita’s Theatre on the NSW South Coast.

Originally hailing from Arnhem Land, Sydney-based hip hop artist Ziggy Ramo is an important emerging First Nations voice, addressing social injustice through his music. Lifted from the Deadly Hearts compilation, Ziggy performs ‘Tjitji’ from the Cell Block Theatre in Darlinghurst; gifting audiences with one of the most moving musical moments ever seen on The Sound.

Boasting a moody mix of bold R&B and sophisticated pop, Sydney’s 20-year-old Kirsten Salty will take to The Sound this Sunday following the release of her debut single ‘Je Ne Sais Quoi (feat Taka Perry)’.

Joining Jane Gazzo and Bridget Hustwaite this week as special guest co-hosts are much-loved television and radio veteran, Dylan Lewis, and extraordinary entertainer Tim McCallum, who wowed with his rendition of the Australian national anthem at last month’s AFL Grand Final.

But wait, there’s more: this week’s showstopping ‘Tribute’ collaboration celebrates two great quintessential Australian rock bands – The Loved Ones and INXS – and includes some of Australia’s favourite musicians. The must-see rock line-up will feature:

You Am I frontman and ARIA winning soloist Tim Rogers

Shane Parsons, vocalist and guitarist of sonic-punk trio DZ Deathrays

Lauded Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Mo’Ju

Brisbane rockers and live music sensations, WAAX

Finally, our ‘From The Vault’ clip this week is from Yolgnu man, Gurrumul.
