DMA’S RECEIVE 5 ARIA AWARD NOMINATIONS FOR CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED THIRD ALBUM THE GLOW + PLAYING THE 2020 AFL GRAND FINAL + ‘UNPLUGGED & INTIMATE’ LIVE IN BRISBANE THIS MONTH WITH NEW SHOWS ADDED!

I OH YOU are really stoked to share that DMA’S have been nominated for an incredible 5 x ARIA  Award Nominations in recognition of their critically acclaimed third studio album THE GLOW. The nominations are for Album Of The Year, Best Rock Album, Best Group, Best Independent Release and Best Australian Live Act.

THE GLOW, released globally on July 10 was recorded and mixed by multi-Grammy Award winning producer Stuart Price (The Killers, New Order, Madonna), and debuted at #2 on the ARIA Album Chart, #4 in the UK and took out the #1 spot in Scotland. This incredible result is a testament to the band’s unwavering vision to write an album that took their sound to a new level and to new ears, across the world.

In addition to this well-deserved acknowledgement, DMA’S will be performing at the 2020 AFL Grand Final on Saturday 24th October, set to take place for the first time at the Gabba in Queensland. The road to the AFL Grand Final performance sees the band (who live in Sydney) currently staying in Canberra in the lead up so they can safely cross the QLD border, before they take the stage ahead of the bounce. Not deterred in the slightest, DMA’S have thrown themselves into the experience, spending the time in their Canberra accommodation working on new demos for their next release.

Following the big game at the Gabba, DMA’S are also pleased to confirm their ‘Unplugged & Intimate’ tour will hit Brisbane – including two newly announced shows to meet fans’ demand!  DMA’S will take to the stage at Brisbane venue The Tivoli on Monday 26 October (rescheduled from previously announced date of Saturday 29 August) and Tuesday 27 October (originally Sunday 30 August), performing two shows per night (6.45pm and 9pm). All existing tickets remain valid to the corresponding new dates.In addition to this, two brand new shows have also been added on Sunday 25 October, with show times of: 3.00pm and 5.30pm.

Tickets for all six Brisbane shows will  go on sale this Thursday 15 October @ 1pm AEDT (12noon local) from frontiertouring.com/DMAS. Frontier and Secret Sounds Members can access Pre-sales from Wednesday 14 October.

With three top #10 ARIA albums, now 9 x ARIA-nominations, and multiple ARIA Platinum and ARIA Gold singles already under their belt, DMA’S have well and truly established themselves as a household name both here and in the UK.
