Australian/Chilean artist Jalmar has teamed up with Australian/Venezuelan producer Pinky Promise for ‘Badina’, a collaborative single that combines Dembow, Caribbean and Latin urban influences with Shatta inspired rhythms. The track was released on September 24, 2026 via Mammal Sounds Records.
According to the release information, ‘Badina’ focuses on energy, movement and a carefree summer atmosphere. Its production brings together punchy rhythms and Latin club influences, with the track described as being designed for the dancefloor.
The title ‘Badina’ is described as a playful twist on “bad Latina”, reflecting the cheeky character behind the track. Jalmar’s stated intention was to create something fun that brings people together and gets the night moving.
‘Badina’ also continues Jalmar and Pinky Promise’s ongoing collaboration. The pair are developing a shared Latin urban sound influenced by their respective backgrounds, with the project connecting Latin America and Australia through music.
The track was co-written by Jalmar Leficura, aka Jalmar, and Jonathan Lovera Serrano, aka Pinky Promise. Both artists are credited as producers, while Serrano handled the mixing and mastering. Jalmar Leficura also created the artwork.
