London-based producer and musician Nathan Jenkins, better known as Bullion, has released ‘Applegene’, the latest single from his forthcoming album Nearly.
Released via Ghostly International, ‘Applegene’ features Ethan P. Flynn on guitar and follows ‘Roo’, the second single released from the album.
Nearly is scheduled for release on 25 September 2026 via Ghostly International and arrives two years after Bullion’s previous album, Affection.
Jenkins has developed a reputation for detailed, intricate production and has worked with artists across electronic music and alternative pop. His recent credits include co-writing and producing ‘Written into Changes’ by Avalon Emerson & The Charm, while his wider production credits include Orlando Weeks, Carly Rae Jepsen and Oliver Sim of The xx.
‘Applegene’ sits within a 10-track Nearly tracklist that also includes the previously released ‘Roo’, ‘Francis Ford’ featuring L Devine, ‘Ok Parsley’, ‘Young Shiver’, ‘Forget Performer’, ‘The Arm of Cinderella’ featuring L Devine, ‘I’m Not Hooligan’ and ‘101 Damnations’.
The forthcoming album continues the collaborative approach associated with Jenkins’ work as Bullion. His previous album Affection featured collaborations with Carly Rae Jepsen and Panda Bear, while Jenkins’ production work has continued to connect him with artists working across electronic and alternative pop.
Bullion has previously received support from publications and broadcasters including Pitchfork, Stereogum, Resident Advisor, Electronic Sound, DIY, NME, CRACK, Rolling Stone and BBC Radio 6 Music.
‘Applegene’ is out now via Ghostly International, with Nearly set for release on 25 September 2026.
