The Temper Trap unveil the cinematic video for their new single ‘Giving Up Air’. Filmed at the iconic Trellick Tower in London, and featuring cameos from lead singer Dougy Mandagi, the clip traces the personal journey between a young father and his teenage son, building to a powerful climax – a raw and delicate exploration of struggle, responsibility and searching. Directed by Andrea Banjanin (The Vaccines, Geowulf) it’s the perfect visual accompaniment to the single (already over 2.5 million streams), whose synth-driven, euphoric chorus contrasts beautifully with lyrics that explore the weight of grief.

“Giving Up Air” is a very important song for me about a life-changing moment and the unimaginable pain of losing a loved one in tragic circumstances – from the initial shock to sorrow and then anger, and finding glimmers of hope somewhere in between.” – Dougy Mandagi

The Temper Trap play sold-out east coast tour dates this weekend, before jetting abroad for performances in London, Canada, New York and LA. They’ll return home for a key slot at this year’s Beyond The Valley at year’s end.
