Title: All You Need Is Love
Label: Virgin Records/Universal Music
Nicky Romero is back on Virgin Records/Universal Music with his uplifting dance-pop crossover single “All You Need Is Love,” for which he teamed up with dance-pop mainstay Jonas Blue and talented singer and producer Nico Santos. With three powerhouses behind it, one would expect this collaboration to be nothing short of magical, and it certainly delivers. Opening with soul-rendering vocals overtop organic melodies, the track swells to a euphoric, progressive crescendo with the chorus. Santos‘s performance brings the hopeful lyrics to life perfectly, while Romero and Blue‘s respective production skills toe the line between electronic and pop genres. Nicky Romero premiered the track earlier this year at Ultra Music Festival‘s Main Stage when he brought Jonas out on stage, and its release has been highly anticipated ever since. “All You Need Is Love” follows Nicky‘s releases “I Hope That It Hurts” with Norma Jean Martine, “Why Do I Call,” and “Nights With You” on Virgin Records/Universal Music.
“I really loved working with Jonas and Nico on this amazing record. They are both super-talented artists and are crushing it on each given occasion. Jonas has released earlier some of my favorite hit songs and is a master at creating emotional and heartfelt tracks. I got to know Nico just recently and immediately felt that his amazing voice would be the best fit for this song. When he recorded his vocals, it was an instant match as he perfectly conveyed the emotions that we wanted to send to the world. It was great to premiere ‘All You Need Is Love‘ at Ultra Music Festival in Miami with Jonas back in March, and I’m happy we can finally share it with our fans and listeners around the globe” – Nicky Romero
“Nicky has always been someone I looked up to since I started producing music, so it’s an honor to collaborate with him! and Nico‘s talent has been on my radar for a while too, so this song felt like the perfect moment for the 3 of us to collaborate and I’m excited to see what the world think of this one.” – Jonas Blue
“It’s an honor to be able to collaborate on this great track with two of my favorite producers – Nicky Romero and Jonas Blue. The song is a reminder for us all: Even when you’re facing great challenges and experiencing dark times, you should believe that brighter times are ahead, and you need to trust the power and the love within you to help you to get there.” – Nico Santos
Nicky Romero
After taking the world by storm with early hits such as “Legacy” with Krewella, “Like Home” with NERVO and the #1 single “I Could Be The One” with Avicii, Nicky Romero quickly proved that his talent is ever-evolving and here to stay. After launching his Protocol Recordings imprint in 2012, the renowned performer, producer, and label head continued his personal successes with a string of high-profile releases, ranging from collaborations with Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, Timmy Trumpet and Steve Aoki to remixes for the likes of Bebe Rexha, Robin Schulz, Kygo, Rita Ora, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Jess Glynne and more. While showcasing his label’s roster via his weekly Protocol Radio show, Nicky Romero continues to innovate and evolve, and with his annual “Nicky Romero & Friends” ADE showcase and the launch of Monocule alter-ego, he keeps proving his ability to turn into gold everything he touches and continues to push boundaries with each show concept and new release, forever instilling himself as a dance music icon.
Jonas Blue
Jonas Blue‘s career to date has been astounding, and its effect has been felt the world over, with singles like “Fast Car,” “Perfect Strangers,” “Rise,” “Mama,” and “Polaroid” collectively having been certified platinum over 130 times around the globe. Amassing an army of recognizable hit singles, with over 18 billion global streams, over 80 million worldwide singles sales, 5 billion video views, BRIT certified Breakthrough Album, 5 BRIT Award nominations, and multiple brand deals, Jonas has cemented his name as a main stage DJ and pop powerhouse. Jonas‘ hard work and inspiring music continued to receive global success with singles featuring a combo of hot artists, including HRVY, Leon, Ava Max, Rita Ora, R3HAB, Tiësto, and more. He is a man on a mission, whose sights are set for the top with his first release of 2023 “Weekends,” with top German DJ/Producer Felix Jaehn, as well as “Crying on The Dancefloor” as a collaborative project Endless Summer with Sam Feldt and his latest summer smash “Finally” with RANI, we will see collaborations and showstopping DJ sets aplenty.
Nico Santos
Singer, songwriter, and producer: Nico Santos is an absolutely exceptional talent. A versatility that covers genres from pop to hip-hop to R&B and deep house to film music. The multiple gold and platinum awards – not only in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland but also Australia, Mexico, and Spain – and various radio airplay #1s speak for themselves. Over 1 billion global streams later and three years after his self-titled second album, Nico Santos is back, or rather, he was never gone. Unlike generations of singers before him, Nico Santos never really thought in terms of albums; he simply recorded one song after another. In doing so, Nico discovered and utilized a freedom that can only come from following a flow, a current. Nico‘s new album “RIDE” is scheduled for a release on May 26, 2023.

Putting their own surf rock twist on music fans of local acts such as Skegss, The Terrys, DICE and more broadly, The Strokes, would love, Western Sydney’s The Sooks have produced a powerful and energetic track in ‘Burn Me Out’. The band’s new single, filled with a driving rhythm, brings together punchy guitar riffs and captivating vocals.
‘Burn Me Out’ follows the feeling of alienation and disconnection from the world, and the frustrations that come with feeling stuck in a rut.
‘Burn Me Out’ explores the feeling of being alienated from the things around you, being disconnected from the world and feeling like time is passing by when you are stood still. We all get that kind of feeling of being burnt out by something or someone, and this song is sort of a tribute to that universal frustration.”
The Sooks
‘Burn Me Out’ was recorded at Sonar Studios in Sydney and was produced and mixed by Jack Nigro (Pacific Avenue, Skegss, DMA’s). ‘Burn Me Out’ was mastered by Darren Ziesing (Flume, Lime Cordial, Rufus Du Sol). The track features an explosive, catchy chorus that’s sure to get crowds singing along and dancing at live shows. A song that came together over a quick period of time, ‘Burn Me Out’ is The Sooks at their most creatively satisfied to date.
“After realizing that we had studio time booked in, we thought it would be a good idea to write a single a few days beforehand haha. So we sat with acoustic guitars and put the song together in like 20 minutes from scratch, lyrics and everything.
We were heaps thrilled to be tracking up in Sonar Studios in Tuggerah with Jack Nigro, we like his work and so we knew that the song would come together just fine. After a long day of tracking all the instruments, we waited for Jack to work his magic in the mixing studio and the song was done.” The Sooks
The band has received community radio support from RTR, FBi and 2SER from their previous releases ‘Motley’, ‘Lucy’ and ‘Red Brick House’. The Sooks have previously performed at NOIR CITY Mini-festival and Indie 500 festival, as well as opening for Annie Hamilton, Jet City Sports Club, Satin Cali, Sputnik Sweetheart and The Moving Stills.
Alongside the release of ‘Burn Me Out’, The Sooks will be blessing Sydney with a launch show at Waywards, Newtown with supports of Grxce and Pseudoclub on Friday May 5th.

Title: Bleach (move on)
Label: Ultra Records/Sony Music
After their release from January – “Anyway,” featuring RuthAnne, preceded by an almost two-year hiatus, the platinum trio Cash Cash is back with their deeply personal and yet hopeful new single “Bleach (move on).” The song is a unique fusion of emo-alt and electronic dance music, unusual and yet well-executed by the veteran electronic group. With angsty, soulful vocals belting out lyrics about mental health struggles, “Bleach (move on)” starts out like an alt-pop song from the early aughts, but Cash Cash quickly weaves in their signature sound with the track’s upbeat progressive style during its chorus and interludes. Jean Paul, who sings on a Cash Cash‘s record for the very first time, Alex and Samuel bear their hearts through this relevant and heartfelt sonic confession, one that will be a hit on the radio and during the summer festival season. “Bleach (move on)” is Cash Cash‘s second release on Ultra Records/Sony Music after signing to the label in 2022. Read below what they have to say about the inspiration behind it.
“We once heard someone says: ‘Your problems are like holding a glass of water; it’s easy if you only hold on to it for a little as your arm is barely affected. If you hold on to it all day and night, your arm will eventually become very sore, throbbing, and numb, barely able to hold the glass.’ The creation of ‘Bleach (move on)‘ was realizing that and finally learning to put the fucking glass down and to literally move on. Calling the last few years a challenge would be an understatement. Many of us found ourselves either running away or chasing something, or just lost in the shuffle. If you’re not one of those people, then God Bless as you’re one of the few lucky ones. For the rest of us emo kids, sanity is something we’re constantly chasing, and mental health is something we’re always running from. It takes addressing it face to face to improve it, and only after that does sanity become attainable. Writing ‘Bleach (move on)‘ was our way of addressing it; continuing to hear it is our reminder and therapy, and hopefully, playing it for all of you will be yours.” – Cash Cash
Cash Cash is a world-renowned electronic music trio that has been making music and selling out shows worldwide for over a decade. Currently signed to Ultra Records, the group consists of brothers Jean Paul Makhlouf and Alex Makhlouf, as well as life-long friend Samuel Frisch. Together, the three DJ/Producer/Multi-instrumentalists record, mix and master all of their music. Over the past few years, they have seen massive success with their slew of single releases. Their song “Finest Hour” (feat. Abir) has been RIAA-certified Gold, and their 2019 collaboration with P!NK called “Can We Pretend” hit the Top 10 on AC radio. Their single “Call You” (feat. Nasri of MAGIC!) hit #1 on US Dance Radio, and they were also featured on Billboard’s Dance 100 List for 2019. Their smash single “Take Me Home” ft. Bebe Rexha celebrated an RIAA platinum certification; their song “All My Love” ft. Conor Maynard has amassed over 100 million streams on Spotify alone; “Matches” featuring ROZES achieved #1 on Dance Radio, and one of their releases, “Belong” was featured on Dashboard Confessional‘s album “Crooked Shadows.” 2021 saw Cash Cash releasing euphonious “Ride or Die” (feat. Phoebe Ryan), preceded by Billboard-charting hip-hop-dosed dance-pop smash “Too Late,” on which they collaborated with Wiz Khalifa and Lukas Graham. In 2023, the trio will continue its domination with brand-new releases and appearances.
Title: Never Thought (feat. Micah Martin)
Label: Self-released
Spag Heddy returns with his new single “Never Thought,” for which he teamed up with rock/alt-pop singer Micah Martin of The Zealots band. The track follows a slightly different direction for Spag, who has previously focused on intensive bass and unique house sounds, in that it is less of a headbanging anthem than a saga through human emotion. Opening with wistful vocals and piano melodies, he then builds into a cinematic dubstep-style drop with some grimy synth effects that serve to truly embody the full and complex spectrum of feelings within the song. “Never Thought” may be Spag Heddy‘s the most emotional release to date and follows his recent release “Sorry,” both of which are from his upcoming debut studio album “The Noodle Effect,” coming out on June 16. Read on for what both Spag and Micah had to say about their stunning collaboration.
“With ‘Never Thought,’ I wanted to make a song that didn’t focus on basslines but rather on a grand, majestic melodic theme. Micah‘s powerful voice and big, atmospheric style was the perfect fit for this one. His voice and lyrics gave the song emotional depth that, together with the uplifting melody and raw bass cuts, feels like a journey that ends in a big sort of space-battle climax. More than just a melodic dubstep song, to me, it’s a story of human emotion and music as an escape.” – Spag Heddy
“I was on tour with my band and recorded this topline in the trailer on an off day. Hurricane Irma had just blown into Atlanta at the same time we did, so we had to pull over. After getting out of the trailer, I realized quite a few tall trees had blown over, and maybe recording in the middle of hurricane winds in the forest wasn’t the smartest idea. I sent to Spag Heddy, and the rest is history!” – Micah Martin
Spag Heddy
The Netherlands-born and Spain-based Spag Heddy has been cooking up dubstep hits since 2011, when his club bangers quickly got the attention of fans and industry tastemakers alike. With Skrillex, Rusko, Excision and others counted among his inspirations, Spag has gained widespread acclaim for his hard-hitting and yet melodic style that always feels fresh and forward-thinking. He has multiple successful singles as well as remixes and collaborations for The Chainsmokers, Krewella, SLANDER, and originals that can be heard in sets of Skrillex, Excision, Subtronics, NGHTMRE and many other heavyweights. His high-energy, mesmerizing sets have earned him tours with Zomboy and Flux Pavilion as well as direct support for Excision and Zeds Dead, plus a number of his own headlining tours around the globe. Now on the eve of releasing his most exciting project to date, Spag Heddy is well on his way to the top.
Micah Martin
Micah Martin was born June 27, 1992, in the Quad Cities. Growing up, he always knew that he wanted to entertain/perform in front of the masses. This would later come to fruition, as he would go on to perform his music in front of sold-out crowds at The Hollywood Palladium, Red Rocks, Spring Awakening, and Lost Lands, to name a few. If he’s not busy writing rock’n’roll anthems with his band – The Zealots, you can find him crafting up his own style of alternative pop in his studio. You might recognize his voice if you play Fortnite or Rocket League, as his songs are in frequent rotation within those games. In 2020, Martin got his first cut with Don Diablo, Imanbek, and Trevor Daniel. This song is called “Kill Me Better,” and it has gotten international radio play all over the world. Travis Barker would later remix “Kill Me Better” and add his own alternative flare to the song. Micah has also worked with some of the biggest names in dance music, such as Jauz, Kayzo, SLANDER, Brooks, Rebelion, Dirty Palm, Bear Grillz, Black Tiger Sex Machine, William Black, Fairlane, Crystal Skies, Ghastly, Frank Zummo, PhaseOne, and more. In 2022 Martin completed his debut album with Executive Producer Felmax. “These songs are my babies, and I hold them dear to my heart. I hope they can speak to you and help you with whatever you’re going through in life. Music is a medicine that we all need daily.”
A singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist living in St. John’s, John has toured Canada, Europe and Greenland with various outfits from across Canada. He recently finished recording an album with Jake Nicoll, whose innovative production helped garner a Polaris Prize nomination for Kelly McMichael’s 2021 album Waves – and who was also involved in the recording, and production process.

Where are you currently based?
Nashville, TN!
What’s been happening recently?
I’ve been on the road a bunch, got to make my Opry debut, and now just released a new EP!
Your latest EP Greatest Show On Dirt was released on May 5, what influenced the sound and songwriting?
It was really important to me to dig deeper into what “my sound” is. I really just tried to follow my instincts on the sound and production, as well as just letting the band play and do their thing. I didn’t want to micromanage the music, and my producers were great collaborators and leaders in the studio. As far as the songwriting goes just I tried to really peel back some more layers of myself, and be as honest as possible.
What inspired the title track ‘Greatest Show On Dirt’?
My friend Trannie Anderson brought the title to a writers retreat I was on with her, Jake Mitchell and Matt McGinn. We all immediately thought it was an amazing title, but we weren’t sure what it should be about. My first thought was that greatest show on dirt would have something to do with Rodeo… I used to have a horse but I mainly just drank beer and took her on trail rides so writing a song about the rodeo wouldn’t really be authentic to me. Then we thought about it being more of a throwback to an old flame. Summer love with the guy who had it all, Hollywood looks, all the right lines, and a truck to take you riding around the back roads all summer. Even though it didn’t work out, Looking back on the memory has a very dreamy, cinematic nostalgia to it.
What does this EP mean to you?
This EP represents a new chapter for me. I think these are some of the best and most personal songs I’ve written, and I feel like myself, the band, the songwriters and the producers all brought the music to life in a way that feels authentically “me”.
Please tell us about the accompanying singles film clips, the inspiration and filming process.
I worked with Ford Fairchild for all of the music videos for “Greatest Show On Dirt.” His energy and creativity is so infectious! The video for “She’s No Good For Me” shows me throwing out items from my past as I move into this new version of myself. For the “Ours” video, I had my guitar player play my toxic ex. This video will also always hold a special place in my heart because it was the day I got the call from Terri Clark to say I was gonna make my Opry debut. The “Greatest Show On Dirt” video shows a mini me and her first love. It also features my band. For “Red Roses & Red Flags,” I was able to try out my acting skills!
Who are you listening to at the moment?
The Bros. Landreth
What do you like to do away from music?
I love to hunt, fish, cook, play golf, mountain bike and really anything that allows me to spend time outdoors. I have also gotten into boxing lately. It is a great workout.
What’s planned for the remainder of 2023?
A lot more new music and a lot of touring!
Favourite food and place to hangout?
I love all food haha. And I’ll hangout wherever there’s cold beer, good music, and no crowds.

Australian metalcore outfit Druid are armed with their latest single, ‘HANG IN THERE (IT GETS WORSE)’, out on May 12th. Packaged in Druid’s unflinching style, the volatile track is an exploration of mental health issues and the inner struggles that come with them. Since releasing their debut EP in 2019 and then a stack of singles, Druid has cemented themselves in the Australian heavy scene, sharing the stage with the likes of Void Of Vision, Alpha Wolf, The Beautiful Monument, Suspryia, Earthcaller, Lune, Diamond Construct, and many more. Now, ‘HANG IN THERE (IT GETS WORSE)’ is Jordan Williams’ – Druid’s co-lead vocalist – reflection of his own experiences with depression and other mental health issues. Paired with his hostile vocal delivery, the song’s lyrics are a brutally honest and a representation of the weight and pressure that come with such struggles – adding to the purging, fiery feel of the track. Aligning with the song’s dark themes, ‘HANG IN THERE (IT GETS WORSE)’ is an intense and cathartic composition, tied together with lacerating riffs and breakdowns that are unrelenting. While the chrous is a reference to Bring Me The Horizon’s 2008 album ‘Suicide Season’, it also hints that Williams’ mental health issues have been a part of his life since a young age. Druid’s previous blood-boiling releases have received support from the likes of Triple J (The Racket), Triple M’s Hard and Heavy, Hysteria, and Maniacs, the band also found success featuring on Spotify’s Homegrown and Heavy Playlist. Furthrmore, their single ‘DTHBLW’ was premiered via Knotfest, which later landed them a spot on Knotfest’s Pulse of the Maggots streaming festival, headlined by Hero The Hero. With its powerful and honest lyrics, volatile vocals, and explosive energy, this track is a must-hear for fans of heavy music. Druid release ‘HANG IN THERE (IT GETS WORSE)’ on Friday, May 12. |

“Monster sound from Bad Party who push this one into overdrive real quick”
4/5 (Dave Ruby Howe, Triple J Unearthed) [About ‘I’ll Be Fine’]
“That verse surges in like a freakin’ tidal wave! Energy and power is off the charts”
4/5 (Abby Butler, Triple J) [About ‘I’ll Be Fine’]
“Possessing a catchy-as-hell chorus, ‘Sinking In’ is both well constructed and avoids any of the standard tropes of modern metalcore, carried mostly by the melodies laid down by frontman Henry Epong.” (Hysteria Mag)
Originating from the Meanjin/Brisbane EDM scene, Bad Party rose from the depth of 2020. A vision to marry metal and EDM, the four-piece have kicked goals and welcome 2023 with their newest single ‘Want It’ and accompanying music video, out May 12. ‘Want It’ teases with a touch of trance-inducing EDM before shattering into hard and fast heavy rock riffs. The single unleashes a barrage of sound that showcases the impressive abilities of the band, with emphatic drums, crushing guitars, and aggressive bass lines all coming together to form a formidable wall of noise. Explosive and upbeat, Henry Epong’s vocals pack a punch and soar through the cathartic chorus. The intricate drumming and driving guitar riffs are anything but understated, combining to create a powerful and intense listening experience of high-octane energy punctuated with flashes of EDM that add an extra layer of excitement to the mix. Raw with emotion, ‘Want It’ reflects desire and lust. Consumed with an obsession for someone or something, the grittiness of emotion seeps through the track. Punchy and to the point, the single captures the difficulty of self-reflection on the feeling. From their first releases ‘Welcome To The Party’ and ‘Run’ in early 2021, Bad Party has gained a passionate following. Dropping their 6-track EP ‘Beyond Repair’ in 2022, the outfit have seen support from Triple J, Triple J Unearthed and Hysteria Mag. Selling out King Lear’s Throne in Brisbane for their first on-stage performance, the band supported Banks Arcade for their sold-out Brisbane show in February, and performed at AM/PM Emo Night alongside Clay J Gladstone. Not slowing down, ‘Want It’ (out May 12) is only the first drop of the year for Bad Party. |

Our stories are messy, complex, nuanced, and we refuse to be reduced to a fetish.” LION’s mission is to subvert the norm and create a revolution. Music and dance are two sources of potent catharsis for LION, as he combines his passions to express his multifaceted identity. He brings together all the unique elements of his identity and his talents, creating theatrical, rhythmic, and prolific material. UK-born and steeped in Ethiopian heritage, queer electropop artist LION now hails from Melbourne, Australia. Performing multiple shows and festivals already, including BIGSOUND 2022 and most recently the main stage at World Pride, LION has firmly established his showstopping live presence.
