Cris Gamble – En La Nave (Prod. by Anunnaki)

by the partae November 2, 2023
written by the partae

Cris Gamble’s new single, “En La Nave,” is set to redefine expectations with its distinctive sound and exciting collaboration with producer Anunnaki. The moment the track kicks off with its sinister acid line, it becomes evident that this is a departure from Cris Gamble’s previous work. Anunnaki’s influence on the track is immediately palpable, marking the first collaboration between these two talented artists.

Cris Gamble’s seamless transition between Spanish and English lyrics creates a captivating dynamic within the song, blending percussive punches and harmonic glides.. The thumping Reggaeton beat sets a relentless rhythm, engaging in a captivating dance between snare drums and sweeping filters, while exuding an air of anxious trepidation. It’s a harder sound than what one might typically associate with Anunnaki, known for his sophisticated pop beats, and this departure underscores the artists’ versatility.

This Melbourne-based duo’s collaboration was long-awaited, given their shared Chilean heritage and diverse musical influences. Their sounds, when combined, possess a sharp and unique edge, setting “En La Nave” apart from anything else in their respective discographies.

“En La Nave” is out today and serves as a milestone for both Cris Gamble and Anunnaki, marking a pivotal moment in their musical careers. This track is a thrilling departure and a must-listen for fans of innovative and boundary-pushing music.

Jake Stone

by the partae November 1, 2023
written by the partae

Jake, can you tell us more about the inspiration behind “Late Nights” and how the song came to be?

So the song was kind of taken from a couple of different instances, and then we just made it a tad more extreme. It was inspired by a culmination of events from both my past and Josh’s that we just turned into one story. The song came to be as we were a bit unsure of what to write about that day, and after changing to that opening guitar line, we immediately started to talk about the topic of who wins the breakup.

The song is about the need for victory after a breakup. Can you elaborate on the emotions and experiences that influenced the lyrics?

Yeah, the experience was more so just based on that awkwardness between mutual friends when you recite the story to them, and they inevitably take sides. We went through a whole bunch of scenarios when writing the song to really put ourselves into the situation in order to write a relatable song.

“Late Nights” seems to touch on the idea of ‘winning’ a breakup. What message or perspective were you trying to convey with this concept?

The perspective we were trying to convey was about the mutual friends who are left to take sides in the messy situation. It highlights how someone’s reputation can be so easily tarnished by a breakup like this and the desire to almost cover ground in ensuring you haven’t lost friendships out of all of this.

The song opens with a meandering guitar line and a sense of heartbreak. How did the musical elements contribute to the overall mood of the track?

The musical elements contribute greatly to the mood of the song. We actually started that day making a completely different song which was piano-based. Eventually, we moved to the guitar, and we wrote a completely different song in the end. The overall mood of that guitar line completely changed the trajectory of the day; we were a bit lacking in energy for the first hour or so, and then after that guitar line came in, it changed our whole outlook, not only for the song but for the day ahead. The lingering sound of the guitar helped us develop some themes straight away such as hindsight and lack of closure.

Could you share some insights into the creative process of working with co-writer/producer Josh King on this song and how it contributed to the final product?

Working with Josh is great, not only have I now got a great mate out of all this, but we have some great songs to come. We tend to start our songs with a lead instrument and then we go straight to the drawing board where we list all the themes we want to talk about in the song. Throughout the sessions, we are known to take a few breaks during the day to do the necessities such as Basketball, Soccer, and footy along with getting food. Josh and I like to bounce a lot of ideas off one another and often just follow the process of elimination when deciding what melodies we will use in certain sections. For “Late Nights,” we were incredibly focused on ensuring from start to finish, the song had an easy-to-follow storyline. While we wrote the song pretty quickly for the most part, every word was contemplated and had its place.

The chorus of “Late Nights” appears to be a moment of emotional release. What was the thought process behind this part of the song?

That’s exactly how we envisioned it as well, this kind of letting go feeling in the chorus. We wanted the chorus to be bold straight from the start, and that’s why there’s that big moment right away. This triumphant moment is echoed through the words ‘tried to let it go’ which are sung in the chorus.

Can you walk us through the writing process and how it evolved in the studio?

As mentioned earlier, we look to create themes and topics for the song straight away so we know exactly what we want to delve into. For instance, with “Late Nights,” we were really focused on the ideas of fragility and closure, which allude to the question we base the song around of who wins the breakup. While writing the lyrics, we often just play the section on loop and freestyle a melody we like and add some words in as we go.

You worked with mixing and mastering professionals to bring “Late Nights” to life. How did their contributions impact the final version of the song?

Yeah, in the mixing process, we really saw “Late Nights” come to life; the song started to really come together, and the sound we were pushing came across really nicely. It was the same with mastering; after we got it back, we knew the song was ready to go, and we were stoked with the outcome.

What did Blake Malone and Leon Zervos bring to the table in terms of enhancing the song’s sound and quality?

I really liked the demo we had of “Late Nights,” but at the time, it didn’t feel special until we got the mix back from Blake, and we were both a bit shocked. All the elements of the instrumentals, the ambience, and everything else we had built started to come together, and it was a little bit surprising. Blake gave us a really great mix that so many people compliment when hearing the song, and he was a great third opinion on the song. Leon was great as well, the quality of sound after receiving the master back was second to none, once again just enhanced the song.

You mentioned that “Late Nights” is a collaboration with Josh King. Can you tell us more about your ongoing partnership and what we can expect from future collaborations?

For sure! Josh and I have been working together for around 1 and a half years now after someone connected us, and “Late Nights” is the third song we worked on together. We have many to come still, we’ve completed a fair few and aim to release them all over the next little period. Josh and I have really tried to create a signature sound which is reflected in all of our collaborations to come, and I’m very excited to release them one by one.

How do you see “Late Nights” fitting into your overall musical journey and the evolution of your sound as an artist?

“Late Nights” is my first real demonstration of my new refined sound. After not releasing and more or less starting from scratch over the last few years, I feel “Late Nights” fits the build really nicely of the sound I intend to keep going with. I only hope to go up with my music quality from here, and I feel the next release does that. “Late Nights” was the perfect song for me to step back into the world of releasing music again and to re-establish myself as a musician.

“Late Nights” is now available on streaming platforms. What can listeners expect from this track, and what other projects or releases can we anticipate from you in the near future?

Listeners can expect to hear an uplifting break-up song that you can really sing along to. Next year you can expect a couple of new singles coming out pretty early on in the year.

When and where are you playing next?

I’ve got nothing booked at the moment, but I’m sure there will be something coming up in the near future.

What’s planned for the remainder of 2023 going into 2024?

For the rest of 2023, I plan to just really get the most out of “Late Nights,” and then early into 2024, I’ll be coming out with more singles which will eventually lead into an EP.

by the partae October 31, 2023
written by the partae

Brisbane alt-rock trio Torizon share triumphant new single Martyr, launching live on the Gold Coast this weekend supporting Bridge Left To Burn on the Bitter Endings East Coast Tour.

Mixed and mastered by Chris Blancato (Northlane, Reliqa, Vilify), new single Martyr is written from the perspective of a person dealing with previous underlying trauma that finally finds themselves ready to break out of a narcissistic relationship.

Vocalist Mish Sharma explains: “The lyrics explore the victim grappling with the reality of the situation and deciding to leave; even though the trauma brain is persistent about staying because it feels ‘familiar’.”

Sharma draws from personal experience on Martyr, taking a stand against toxicity and empowering listeners to do the same. “Statistically, the likelihood of adults with childhood trauma ending up in dysfunctional and abusive relationships is very high,” says Sharma. “As someone with complex PTSD – treated – I found myself in multiple abusive relationships. With the help of a great mental health care team, all my connections now are safe and supportive.”

The trio will play Vinnies Dive Bar on the Gold Coast this weekend to launch their new single live, supporting Bridge Left To Burn on the Queensland leg of their Bitter Endings East Coast tour. Tickets on sale now!

Torizon is Misha Sharma on vocals and piano, Luke Kleinschmidt on guitar, bass and synth and Jordan Miller on drums and percussion. The Brisbane three-piece blend modern rock and metal genres to create their own brand of energetic and anthemic alternative rock. Not ones to shy away from exploring the full palate of human emotion, their body of work is teeming with evocative hooks, irresistible grooves, blistering riffs, and frontwoman Sharma’s larger than life vocals.

Since their inception, Torizon has garnered global coverage and airplay from the likes of triple j, Unearthed, Triple M, Metal Sucks, HEAVY Mag, Kill Your Stereo, New Noise Magazine and more and have seen adds to Apple Music editorial playlist Heaps Heavy as well as hundreds of Spotify user playlists.

The group has performed alongside Circles, Valhalore, Darkcell, Orpheus Omega, as well as securing slots at Wallapalooza and Jacaranda Festivals. With an impressive reportoire under their collective belts, Torizon are back with an emotive new banger Martyr, with the promise of a long-awaited larger release in 2024.

7-time Grammy nominated artist Kaskade drops his highly anticipated REDUX 006 EP, featuring 7 deep, dynamic house tracks that illustrate exactly what his beloved brand is all about. “Brighter,” featuring Emmit Fenn, perfectly sets the tone for the EP‘s sonic atmosphere with its dramatic flair, all cinematic melodies, and reverberating synths for a goosebump-inducing beginning. The next ones in line are, among others, “About Us” – which engages Kaskade‘s signature deep house grooves with garage-inspired elements, “Meaning of Love” with Digital Youth – weaving lo-fi melodies for a loungey, sultry experience; “Turn You Up” with Winn Winn where the iconic producer incorporates spoken-word vocals over a deep production style, warming things up for perhaps the EP‘s most crowd-pleasing record – “On My Way,” which features a deep, driving bassline and plenty of groove. REDUX has been a fan-favorite sound of Kaskade‘s since its inception a decade ago, and its sixth iteration shows that he’s not going to stop heating up dancefloors across the globe anytime soon.

As a household name in electronic music for nearly two decades, Kaskade needs no introduction. Having worked on collaborations with, e.g., Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, and Meghan Trainor, he has the unique talent of creating his signature sound in any genre. Additionally, he has been one of the electronic artists leading the charge into the gaming world and, to date, is the only musician to conceptualize and create an entire season of music for video game giant Rocket League. In 2021, Kaskade came out of quarantine swinging as the first-ever solo headlining musician to sell out and perform for a public event at LA’s SoFi Stadium. Most recently, in 2022, he teamed up with deadmau5 to form Kx5. Kaskade‘s influence on dance music has shaped the culture for generations of listeners, continuing to wow longtime and new fans alike with every new release.

British Multi-Platinum DJ-Producer-Singer-Songwriter John Newman Releases New Single “Guiding Light” As Ode To His Newly Born Daughter. Out Now on Smash The House

by the partae October 26, 2023
written by the partae

Artist: John Newman
Title: Guiding Light
Label: Smash The House

British multifaceted multifaceted artist, John Newman debuts to Smash The House with his new single “Guiding Light,” a meaningful, genre-bending, euphonious gem that’s an ode to his newborn daughter. John‘s soulful vocals open up the song over cinematic melodies that lead into a riding, deep bassline complete with percussive synths and string instrumentals, giving “Guiding Light” both the uplifting qualities of a big room dance track and a hint of underground with the techno bassline. He recently became a father, and the track, with its lyrics like “I’ll be by your side, holding onto you,” is brimming with a highly personal and heartfelt love that’s tangible with each note. The new release follows the DJ-producer-singer-songwriter’s recent collaboration with Alesso – “Call Your Name,” as well as as well as multiple earlier successes such as three BRIT nominations, platinum certifications, multiple UK #1 singles, and more collaborations with the likes of David Guetta, Galantis, Kygo and his most streamed track “Blame” with Calvin Harris.

“‘Guiding Light‘ is a track that I felt I needed to produce for my daughter. Having this new life with us has been so inspiring. I love the idea that I can make songs for her that she can listen to throughout her lifetime, with ‘Guiding Light‘ being the first. For the production, I wanted to make a record that transported back to that UK radio sound I started out in. But, at the same time, I also wanted to challenge the big, uplifting dance track formula with Godfather-like strings and invigorating techno drives that I’ve been vibing with lately. Combined, it takes the emotive power to the next level, which I hope people will feel when they hear it.” – John Newman

Newman‘s career as a singer, songwriter, DJ, and producer began in 2012 with his UK number-one hit “Feel The Love” with Rudimental. He then launched his solo career with the global record-breaking single “Love Me Again,” which debuted at number one in the UK Official charts and went on to hit the Top 10 in over 30 countries, amassing 1,6B streams worldwide. For a kid who grew up on a council estate in a small Northern English town DJing on borrowed gear, Newman was shattering his boundaries to success from the start. When Newman released “Blame” with Calvin Harris in 2014, the song broke the record for most-streamed song in one day and became the first track to break 10M streams in a week on Spotify. After further collaborations with heavyweights Kygo, David Guetta, Galantis, and more, Newman has driven his way to 3 BRIT nominations, over 2,5B streams, and number-one records as a songwriter and artist. In 2021, Newman released “If You Really Love Me (How Will I Know)” with David Guetta and MistaJam, re-igniting his career after time away to rediscover himself. The single went on to again bring him global acclaim in a new stage of his career. 2021 also saw Newman partnering with his long-term collaborator Calvin Harris to write yet another chart-topping single, “By Your Side” featuring Tom Grennan. Now, John Newman is welcoming his new era of energetic, dance-led solo music. His new live show showcases his DJ capabilities, as well as the vocal performances for which he is world-renowned.

JAKE STONE RELEASES EMOTIVE NEW SINGLE, LATE NIGHTS

by the partae October 25, 2023
written by the partae

LISTEN HERE

Late Nights is the latest offering from Melbourne indie pop artist, Jake Stone. It is the first of many collaborations with prolific co-writer/producer Josh King.

Reflecting on Late Nights, Jake shares: “A big element of the song is this need for victory after a breakup; someone who comes out better off and seems to move on too quickly.”

Is it even possible to ‘win’ a breakup? When relationships end and people get hurt, there can be no winner. And continuing to hang out with mutual friends, post-breakup, tends to stall emotional progress by keeping your ex front of mind as well.

Opening with a plaintive, meandering guitar line, Late Nights finds our protagonist stuck in a heartbreak spiral while his partner has already moved on: “Still thinking ‘bout the way that you let it end/ Still thinking ‘bout the way you said we’re better as friends/ But right now it doesn’t feel like it…”

Insistent drumbeats add dramatic impact to the song, before its stripped-back pre-chorus, featuring taunting layered vocals, plays the blame game: “And I remember the way that you framed it/ You as the victim, when we both know it’s blameless…”

Then enter Late Nights’ soaring chorus, delivered as though summoning up all remaining willpower to release the heartache: “Did you really mean what you told our friends?/ ‘Cause I really never thought that I’d be the bad guy…”

Nearing the song’s conclusion, driving beats underscore a crucial narrative shift heading into the bridge: “This is the last time/ Thinking about all the late nights/ Wondering why your heart broke mine…” With power finally reclaimed, Late Nights concludes how it began: paring right back to that winsome, pensive introductory guitar line.

Although this song’s lyrics were mostly completed within 30 minutes – using Heartbreak Anniversary by Giveon and Falling Asleep At The Wheel by Holly Humberstone as reference points – Jake describes the overall signwriting process as “bizarre”. After transposing some piano chords onto the guitar, Jake and his co-writer/producer then pitched the melody up a couple of octaves and viola! Late Nights finally crystallised after a few days spent toiling away in the studio.

But it was the mixing and mastering process that really brought Late Nights to life. Blake Malone, a Gold Coast-based producer best known for his collaborations with Amy Shark, worked his mixing magic and Jake remembers, “It was amazing. He heard something different in the song, which totally transformed it.” Then once world-renowned mastering engineer Leon Zervos (P!nk, Rihanna, Beastie Boys) added final touches to Late Nights, Jake extols, “ This is perfect! This is what we want. This is the best song we’ve ever written together!’”

Late Nights is out now across all streaming platforms.

by the partae October 24, 2023
written by the partae

MELBOURNE (TUE 24 OCTOBER, 2023): Queens of the Stone Age officially announce ‘The End Is Nero’ Summer 2024 Australian tour, the band’s first appearance in Australasia since 2018. The official announcement comes after the band excitedly teased the news via social media last week, “sending shockwaves of excitement through the Gold Coast and beyond.” – GC Mag.

The far-reaching tour, hailed by NME as “a band reaching the peak of their powers” and the Lincoln Star Journal to proclaim it “the best rock show I’ve seen in a very long time” will see the band start at Red Hill Auditorium in Perth on 10th February, ahead of shows in Adelaide, Hobart, Torquay, Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane.

‘The End is Nero’ tour is in support of their acclaimed eighth studio album, ‘In Times New Roman…’ which debuted at #2 on the ARIA charts and which NME Australia described as “their darkest, knottiest material to date.’ The End Is Nero tour is an invitation from Joshua Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore to come celebrate the end of the world, which we hear is “in a month or two.” They would like to encourage the obscene and the clean, the outcasts and the weirdos, and anyone and everyone in between to attend, this is where you belong. Leave your judgement at the door, bring anything and everything else.

For all shows, Queens of the Stone Age fan presale begins 11am (local) Wednesday 25 October.

My Live Nation members can secure tickets during the My Live Nation presale beginning 11am (local) Wednesday 25 October for the Mona Lawns, Hobart show and for all other shows, beginning 12pm (local) Friday 27 October.

General on sale begins at 1pm (local), Monday 30 October. For complete tour and ticket information, visit: qotsa.com, and livenation.com.au.

by the partae October 16, 2023
written by the partae

It only feels right that Live Nation Australia have a special homecoming event up their sleeves to cap off what has been an epic roll out of ONES TO WATCH events throughout 2023.

Unearthing a whole new wave of fantastic Australian talent to packed rooms of industry professionals and stakeholders at invite-only events in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane so far this year, Live Nation Australia are proud to announce that the game-changing live music discovery series returns to Melbourne for its second round this October 26th.

This new ONES TO WATCH Backed by VODAFONE  event in Melbourne also ties into Live Nation Australia’s dedicated efforts to supporting the Australian music industry, kicking off a fundraising campaign to aid Support Act during Ausmusic Month, giving attendees the opportunity to donate upon entry.

Following on from its wildly successful event in Brisbane, held during BIGSOUND 2023, this month’s lineup of showcasing artists for the Melbourne ONES TO WATCH Backed by VODAFONE  event continue to elevate the standard when it comes to the selection of incredible Australian talent primed to perform.

Featured here, the ONES TO WATCH audience will see Los Angeles-based Australian pop artist Blake Rose headline the event.

Blake Rose, originally from Perth, has been taking strides in solidifying his platform internationally, decamping to Los Angeles to chase his music dream. A talented multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer, Blake Rose has accrued over 100 million streams off the back of successful tracks including ‘Lost’ and ‘Gone’. Releasing his debut EP, A World Gone By, to critical acclaim, Blake Rose has supported the likes of Noah Kahan, Boys Like Girls and more. Most recently, his 2023 EP, You’ll Get It When You’re Older, has cemented his status as a pop name not to be slept on.

Returning to host this new edition of Melbourne’s ONES TO WATCH Backed by VODAFONE is music journalist and champion industry all rounder, Tait McGregor. McGregor, who has hosted numerous ONES TO WATCH events throughout this year, has had extensive experience in various levels of music industry capacities; as a host and journalist, she has worked across titles and brands including Rolling Stone Australia and the ARIA Awards, while also championing the next wave of brilliant Australian talent through her own endeavours.

With two exciting emerging Australian artists to be announced, Melbourne’s next ONES TO WATCH Backed by VODAFONE event is an unmissable mark on the springtime calendar.

‘We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting yet another Live Nation OTW showcase in the vibrant city of Melbourne. Which is without a doubt, one of the live music capitals of the world. We have carefully selected three exceptionally talented artists to grace the stage, these acts have captured our attention for quite some time, and we excited that they will now be a part of the OTW platform.’ PAUL LYNCH

2023 has been an incredibly fruitful year for the team at Live Nation Australia and ONES TO WATCH Backed by VODAFONE. Its successful series of events have seen the likes of bella amor, Keenan Te, Lola Scott, Mitch Santiago, BOY SODA, STUMPS, Sam McGovern and PANIA amongst the talented names to perform.

Artists who have already charted their own impressive journeys in music, being able to see them thrive even further on the ONES TO WATCH Backed by VODAFONE stage around the country, and then further amplified across global ONES TO WATCH platforms, has certified that Australia has some of the best musicians currently to do it.

Since its establishment in North America, the ONES TO WATCH series has been able to support and promote artists such as Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo and Halsey early in their careers. So far in Australia, ONES TO WATCH has platformed artists including  Forest Claudette, Teenage Joans, Carla Wehbe, ZPLUTO, WIIGZ, Hoodzy, East AV3, Colourblind and Saint Lane at events around the country.

Kaskade Begins REDUX 006 EP Rollout with Mesmerizing Deep House Single “Save Me” with Lauren L’aimant. Out Now on Arkade

by the partae October 14, 2023
written by the partae

Artist: Kaskade, Lauren L’aimant
Title: Save Me
Label: Arkade

Kaskade returns with his new single “Save Me” with Lauren L’aimant from the upcoming REDUX 006 EP, the first from the dance music icon in over 2 years (REDUX 005 EP was released in 2021). With its euphonious melodies and ethereal vocals, the new track is a perfect representation of Kaskade‘s REDUX style, which has been beloved by many fans since its inception 10 years ago in 2013 thanks to its deep and euphonious melodies and minimalistic sonic aesthetic. “Save Me” rides on hypnotizing refrains, tribal-influenced instrumentals, and a rolling bassline for Kaskade‘s signature production creativity and Lauren‘s velvety voice, making for an exciting first debut of the 7-track EP. It’s the type of song that pairs potent emotion with dancefloor grooviness, guaranteed to deliver on intimate dancefloors, the radio, and beyond. Kaskade has paired the track and EP with a few REDUX-inspired dates, including a recent sold-out show in Irvine, CA at 9,5K capacity FivePoint Amphitheatre, and upcoming ones in Brooklyn, Chicago, and Miami, which are also sold out. Be on the lookout for the REDUX 006 EP dropping in full on Oct 27.

As a household name in electronic music for nearly two decades, Kaskade needs no introduction. His list of achievements is a mile long: 12 studio albums, 7 GRAMMY nominations, the first solo electronic dance artist to sell out both Navy Pier in Chicago and the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the first DJ to ever secure a Las Vegas residency, and the first electronic artist to headline Coachella.

Kaskade‘s remaining REDUX-inspired forthcoming shows:

Oct 20 – Avant Gardner – Brooklyn, NY
Nov 17 – Cermak Hall – Chicago, IL
Dec 01 – Club Space – Miami, FL

LAURA MISCH reveals stunning debut album SAMPLE THE SKY

by the partae October 13, 2023
written by the partae

The music of Laura Misch does not waste time in inviting the listener into a unique and welcoming soundscape. For the London-based artist, producer and songwriter, music in all its forms is an avenue for escape; a promise that the possibilities can be endless once one has stepped over the threshold from their current day-to-day, and into her world of alt-pop, jazz-infused folk music.

Here, we see a kaleidoscope of ideas and sonic references blend together with precision and beauty on Misch’s long-awaited debut album, Sample The Sky. Out now through One Little Independent Records, the ten-track collection of music paints an engaging and gorgeous portrait of an inquisitive and open mind.

It establishes Laura Misch as more than one to watch, but one who is here to stay.

Working alongside collaborator and producer William Arcane on this project, Misch was able to flex an interest in electronic music that has become beautifully mixed into her already established talents and grasp on jazz and contemporary music. The title itself represents her journey so far; from studying biomedical sciences, through to developing her artistry as a career musician.

“I’ve always found parallels between biomed and music, a microphone is a microscope of sound, and a studio is laboratory of distillation, producing feels like you’re discovering, it feels akin to uncovering in science, Sample The Sky felt like a meeting between these two worlds, to study a ‘sample’ is to gather and look deeply, whilst the ‘sky’ symbolises our interconnectedness to nature”.

LAURA MISCH

The otherworldliness of Sample The Sky can be felt in the gorgeous synth and electronic patterns that balance the saxophone and strings. Songs like ‘Sax Rise’ and previous single ‘Hide To Seek’ represent this beautifully, as Misch’s experimentation led her to creating the body of work with an open mind and soulful approach to each new pathway.

‘Wild Swim’ and album closer ‘Birdseye’ evoke the vocal weight and dreaminess of Portishead and My Bloody Valentine, while the subtleties of songs like ‘Portals’ and ‘Outer Edges’ all highlight Misch’s understanding of sonic textures and their relationship to the lyrical emotional core perfectly.

Laura Misch’s upward trajectory in recent years has seen her emerge as one of the U.K.’s brightest new names. Performances on renowned stages and at events including SXSW, Royal Albert Hall, Berghain and Eurosonic speak to her versatility and sphere of influence. And then there’s the widespread support of her music from global media and radio including BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Wonderland Magazine, The Guardian, NME and Clash Magazine – Laura Misch has wasted no time in establishing a legacy for her name, all on her own.

PRAISE FOR LAURA MISCH

“Laura Misch brings such sentimentality to her music and imbues it with modern electronic flourishes”

PopMatters

“Absolutely gorgeous – all pensive rhythms and intelligently layered vocals”

Clash Magazine
