The disorienting and visceral music video for ‘Gimme Love‘, directed by Joji and Andrew Donoho (Khalid, Janelle Monaé, The Strokes), depicts Joji as a scientist working his way up the ranks, obsessively dedicated to leaving Earth. Just as the song transforms, so do the visuals, from gritty and rapidly-paced to blockbuster pristine and euphoric. Expanding on the themes of’ ‘Run‘ and the RIAA-Certified Gold single ‘Sanctuary‘, ‘Gimme Love‘ presents an in-depth exploration of an artist’s need for escape, both literal and metaphysical.
‘Gimme Love‘ arrives on the heels of ‘Run‘, which was released in February, and landed Joji his highest ever debut on Billboard’s Hot 100, amassing over 120M+ streams in the first three weeks of its release and earning Joji his US TV debut with a performance of the song on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Joji is one of the most enthralling artists of the digital age. He has a total vision for his work, not just in the writing and producing of his music, but artwork, videos, merch, and live performances as well. It’s a fully realized world that his fans can inhabit and explore—and see themselves in. “My music is not biographical,” he says, but even still, the deep, heavily shaded emotions in his songs are genuine and they speak to anyone who has ever felt stuck on the outside looking in, who knows what it means to not belong. In 2019, Joji sold-out his North America tour within minutes and performed at some of the most coveted festivals across the world, including Reading & Leeds in the UK and Lollapalooza. As Joji surpasses 3.7 billion global streams, 2020 promises to be his biggest year to date.
‘Gimme Love‘ by Joji is out now via 88rising, distributed by 12Tone Music, buy/stream it here.

After premiering via triple j‘s Good Nights last night, Sydney pop-punk favourites Yours Truly are officially lifting the lid on their first new music for 2020 with their anthemic new single ‘Composure’. Yours Truly vocalist Mikaila Delgado explains that ‘Composure’ captures the warp of anxiety that the end of an on-again-off-again relationship left her in last year.“‘Composure’ is about trying to keep your cool at the end of a relationship and how difficult it can be. It’s natural to be upset, angry and a million different other emotions at once,” she says. “I wrote it at a time when I really needed to reclaim my self worth after losing so much of it, I was over being miserable waiting for acceptance.”
Alongside the single, Yours Truly are also revealing a new music video that the band describe as a new flag in the sand for them.
“We really wanted the video to show off the new era of Yours Truly and to take things to the next level,” Mikaila explains, adding: “We wanted this to feel very personal and ‘hand made’ which is why stitch work and embroidery is such a feature in the video. I wanted to have us animated in the video to look like fabric so we called on our friend Georgia (Moloney) who actually created the single artwork to do it on camera!”
Few bands can claim to have the worldwide touring chops Yours Truly do this early in their career. After the release of their critically-acclaimed EP Afterglow (now tipping over a whopping 7.5 million streams) in April 2019, the band – whose average age is just 21 – racked up enviable festival offers from the likes of Download UK, Riot Fest, Slam Dunk, Good Things and Sad Summer Fest, as well sold out hometown shows and support slots alongside scene heroes Sum 41, Senses Fail and State Champs.
Searingly honest and utterly infectious, Afterglow garnered massive nods from outlets including Kerrang! (4/5), Wall of Sound (“Yours Truly are fast becoming one of Australia’s best new exports”) and Depth Magazine, who awarded the release a whopping 10/10. As well as enjoying continued support from global radio including triple j, BBC R1 and idobi Radio, Yours Truly were invited to record segments with media giants including Audiotree and Alternative Press.
With their debut full-length record now in the pipeline, Yours Truly are gearing to solidify their status as one of the world’s most striking acts in pop-punk.
Ending months of speculation about exactly who’s behind one of the year’s most talked-about and sought after club tracks, Jamie xx today releases ‘Idontknow‘. Available via Young Turks / Remote Control Records, ‘Idontknow’ is Jamie’s first solo artist release since his highly acclaimed BRIT and GRAMMY® nominated 2015 debut album In Colour.
Without knowing the artist behind it, people have been raving to ‘Idontknow‘ since late autumn 2019 when Jamie first debuted the track. Since then, the track has taken on a life of its own in clubs and on dancefloors around the world, garnering huge support from the likes of Ben UFO, Four Tet, Caribou, HAAi and Bicep, or via Jamie’s own residency on NTS Radio and the series of last-minute, word-of-mouth parties he threw in aid of the MIND and CALM charities at north London’s the Cause (where he was joined by the likes of Four Tet, HAAi and Koreless) and beyond.
Today, ‘Idontknow‘ finally gets a full release, first through digital services but with a 12” available exclusively via independent retailers coming around 1st May (UK) with the rest of the world to follow. It comes hot on the heels of Jamie’s recent collaboration with Headie One and Fred Again.. on ‘Smoke‘ from their acclaimed GANG mixtape.

“Brings the vibes. Brings the smiles.”
– Richard Kingsmill, triple j
“it’s like a solo swim out to sea in a calm ocean. there’s still a pull to it but nothing sinister or strong, it makes you feel safe and at home.”
– Declan Byrne, triple j
“It’s a song that stops you in your tracks and effortlessly commands your attention”
– Emma Jones, Purple Sneakers
Fresh off a premiere yesterday with Purple Sneakers, Mammals has today delivered an abstract and eerie music video for his recent single ‘Mansion’ – a deeply emotive track dedicated to exploring the intricacies of human existence.
Directed by Jordan Lister and filmed at The 1896 in New York, the video beautifully pairs a water-inspired colour palette within the sparse Brooklyn warehouse location. The track itself explores the feeling of “being totally consumed under oceans of powers we can’t control” and the feeling of being lost in a proverbial abyss is reflected back with the clever choreography and use of poly silk. Brooklyn Dancer Kai Paii acts almost as a figure of Guy (Mammals) memory, entangling herself within a moment in time.
Following its release, ‘Mansion’ has already proven a strong addition to Mammals’ catalogue, receiving a premiere on triple j’s Good Nights and landing on the likes of Spotify’s ‘New Dance Beats’ and Apple Music’s ‘New Music Daily’, ‘ALT CTRL’, ‘Future Sounds’ and Heaps Indie’. It is only the latest in his long string of successes, including support slots on the Australian tours of The 1975 and Of Monsters and Men, and a collection of songs spanning over 12 million streams.
The year is still young for this impressive Mollymook local with more music to come and live shows on the horizon. For now, be immersed in ‘Mansion’ from your own mansion as you ponder humanity’s existence in these interesting times.

Emerging U.K.-based singer, producer and harpist TATYANA has today shared her stunning debut single and video ‘Wild Card’. Born to Russian and English parents, TATYANA is a new signing to Sinderlyn – sister label to Captured Tracks.
Speaking about ‘Wild Card’, TATYANA added “I wrote this song about an imaginary Russian lover I never had. There’s a place in the Russian countryside I used to go to as a kid with a beautiful river and a tiny village. I imagined what it might be like to grow up in a place like that and wanting to break free and go see the rest of the distant, outside world. It’s about first love and believing it will go on forever because you’re bonded by your dreams and your memories.”
In 2018, classically-trained harp player TATYANA walked into an underground rave in London. Thrilled by the sense of community that drove the party, she made it a goal to play her own music in this kind of environment some day. No surprise, that’s exactly what she did the following year. It’s not the kind of show one might expect an artist with her background to play, but this is how things happen in TATYANA’s world – her moves seem surprising until you realize they’ve made perfect sense all along.
TATYANA lived in Holland, Russia, Singapore, and Boston – where she attended Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship – before settling back in her hometown of London in 2017; the transient nature of her upbringing has certainly informed her music. From underground raves to viral YouTube covers to playing harp on tour with Neneh Cherry, there seems to be no scene that she doesn’t thrive in. Her new music is a multi-faceted product of all of that experience, the kind of precisely produced, impossibly catchy pop that takes other artists entire careers to nail.
It makes sense, considering all of this, that when asked to describe her music, TATYANA picks a color instead of a sound. She chooses the color blue, for the sense of peaceful melancholy that underpins even her most upbeat tracks. It’s not quite sad or happy; like everything with TATYANA, it’s content to sit somewhere in between.

Project 46 returns from 4-year hiatus with their stunning new track “Remember You,” a gorgeous vocal single that exemplifies the progressive house in its heyday. Opening with delicate melodies and soulful vocals, the lyrics of “Remember You” are allowed to shine before Project 46 eases into a goosebump-inducing, euphoric progressive drop. With lines like “dance until the night turns just to remember you,” the record evokes memories of the nights we wished would never end; these are the types of experiences that every dance music fan holds close to their heart and the kind of romanticism that lives at the deep core of the genre. Wistful and inspirational at once, “Remember You” will whisk you away to some of the most serendipitous memories of your life. Project 46 has been hard at work in the studio, and the duo has more singles scheduled for release this year, including another much-anticipated collaboration with Kaskade.
Canadian duo Ryan Henderson and Thomas Shaw, better known as Project 46, is known for their melodic, progressive sound that never fails to inspire and uplift listeners. They began Project 46 in 2011 and were active until 2016, with releases on Ultra Records, Monstercat, Armada, Mixmash, and collaborations such as “Last Chance” with Kaskade (which was featured on Kaskade‘s “Atmosphere” album), “Collide” with Laidback Luke, “Crime” with Avicii, “Daphne” with Paul Oakenfold, and “Home” with Feenixpawl, to name a few. 2020 marks the comeback of Project 46, and they’re already off to a strong start with “Remember You.” We’re looking forward to more beautiful, vocal-driven dance tracks coming from the talented duo later this year!

Dom Dolla
Dom Dolla 2x ARIA nominated house dj/producer from Melbourne. His festival banger “San Frandisco’ recently came in at #33 in triple j’s hottest 100. Dom’s signature sound has seen him commissioned to remix Dua Lipa, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Hayden James, MK and more whilst pooling over 100+ million streams across Spotify & Apple Music, accompanied by global radio support as well as scoring a Gold record, 2x ARIA nominations and 5x ARIA Club #1’s.
Having recently sold out his headline show at the Coburg Velodrome, Dom will be showcasing a teaser of his forthcoming national tour which has been rescheduled to October this year around the country.
Willaris. K
Tastemaker and producer Willaris. K had his triple j supported break-out single “Alchemy” back in 2018 and has never looked back. His sophisticated techno has seen him earn fans in Pete Tong, sell-out shows in Australia and play at festivals including Coachella, Splendour in the Grass, Lollapalooza, Beyond the Valley, Wildlands, Forbidden Fruit and more. He’s just released brand new EP ‘LUSTRE’.
Torren Foot
Perpetually ahead of the curve, house producer Torren Foot was raised on the working docks of Melbourne’s inner west, and is now a fixture of Aussie club culture as one of the countries most in demand touring dj’s – he recently gained international attention following the release of ‘More Life’ topping #1 Beatport overall, support from tastemakers Adam Beyer, Claptone, Mat.Joe, Wax Motif & Destructo to name a few and A-list radio support from triple j.
Torren’s previous works have scored him an ARIA nomination for best dance release of collaborative single ‘Be Randy’ alongside Dom Dolla. Successive ARIA #1 club tracks ‘Hot Sauce’ & ‘Be Randy’ and notable remix of Tiga’s ‘Bugati’ via Mad Decent/Turbo recordings.
Festival highlight performances include Beyond The Valley and Falls Festival, Torren is emerging as one of the country’s most well respected and high demand producer DJs.
Jordan Brando
Recognised by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong & tastemakers globally, Jordan’s abilities as a DJ and a producer raise no questions to why he is “a rising star in Australian dance music.” Standout performances at revered festivals Beyond the Valley and Pitch Music & Arts, and being handpicked to share the stage with the likes of Patrick Topping to Jamie Jones, have all contributed to solidifying Brando’s name as one Australia’s most promising dance music exports.
Elizabeth Cambage
Vaulting a solid basketball career, it’s her passion for music that has taken to the centre of her court, reeling in a fashionable barrage of attention in the electronic scene. Gracing the console at For The Love, Groovin’ The Moo Festival, Melbourne’s iconic institution Revolver, through to events for global brands like Adidas during Coachella week, Liz Cambage’s sound has travelled. Not only has she graced stages across the globe, but has too supported some of the world’s most renowned musical icons from Mary J Blige to Steve Aoki, sitting firmly amongst some of the highly influential pioneers.
London Topaz
With a style reminiscent of top-tier electronic artists such as RÜFÜS DU SOL and Hayden James, London Topaz’s sound has captured the attention of dance music enthusiasts globally. Methyl Ethel’s new EP Hurts To Laugh is out now via Dot Dash Recordings / Remote Control Records. To celebrate the release of Hurts To Laugh the band have shared an Instagram filter which utilises the stunning EP artwork by Loribelle Spirovski. Try and share the Instagram filter via this link.
Hurts To Laugh marks the ongoing output of Methyl Ethel producer and multi-instrumentalist Jake Webb’s restless mind. Time and again he’s proven that while there’s no distinction between music and art, psychologically speaking there is a difference between feeling and emotion. One is a conscious response to a set of circumstances, the other is the unconscious conditions of our very being that only occasionally surfaces through feelings. Hurts To Laugh excavates this ambiguous site, implied by its very title. You can laugh so hard it hurts – pure joy. Or laugh despite the pain – despair. These paradoxes run throughout the EP, as well as everything that came before.
‘Majestic AF’ stumbles into its bubbling oscillator and analogue polyrhythms, while a kick-free drumbeat marches right into an atonal synth melody supporting Webb’s equally idiosyncratic falsetto.
Hurts To Laugh was recorded at the same time as 2019’s Triage and both releases feature cover art by Sydney-based artist Loribelle Spirovski. Triage was Webb’s third and final album in a trilogy of obliquely expressed relationship drama, starting with 2015’s Oh Inhuman Spectacle which features certified ARIA Gold single ‘Twilight Driving’. 2017’s Everything Is Forgotten birthed the sensational single ‘Ubu’ which is now certified ARIA Platinum.
Methyl Ethel is a project that’s the brainchild of a single mind—writer, performer and producer Webb—while also being a live band of five members. It makes music that draws from myriad influences and a history of new wave and indie rock, while sounding like its own thing entirely. Both familiar and alien, intimate and aloof, you never quite know what you’re in for, but the trip is bound to be enchanting.
Rescheduled dates for Methyl Ethel’s American tour (supporting Peter, Bjorn & John) and intimate Australian solo EP tour have been announced. Methyl Ethel will tour USA and Australia starting late September through October – including sold-out shows in Sydney & Melbourne. The full band will also appear at Splendour In The Grass. The full run of updated tour dates linked below.
