COTILLON NEW ALBUM ‘CRUISER’ OUT NOW VIA DINOSAUR CITY RECORDS AND ANNIVERSARY RECORDS

It is with great excitement that we announce the third LP from Cotillon – ‘Cruiser’, out now on Dinosaur City Records and Anniversary Records.

Cotillon is the indie dream-pop project of NY-via-LA’s Jordan Corso, who has released two highly acclaimed albums (self-titled ‘Cotillon‘, ‘The Afternoons‘) and one EP (‘White Roses‘) on Modern Sky/Burger Records/Dinosaur City Records over the past five years.

While Corso’s earlier work was packed with distorted guitars and a youthful rawness, ‘Cruiser’, sees Corso take on his new 30-something personality and relentless life on the road after taking up an A&R job working between China and Japan.

Abroad Corso found himself coasting (or, as he describes it, “cruising” ) through laughable stress and the everyday unknowns of culture shock. He spent most of his nights (as always) holed up recording demos, tackling the constant “how did I get here?” moments, from days filled with laughter and liquor-fuelled adventure, and others of longing. Eventually, nothing surprised Corso anymore, and life turned rose colored.

Taking cues from soft-voiced indie pop acts like Hovvdy and (Sandy) Alex G with intricate production from Bret Leinen, ‘Cruiser’ amplifies Corso’s gift for direct lyrical expression amongst grit and distortion.

2017’s ‘The Afternoons’ saw praise from the likes of Stereogum, The Fader, DORK, Nylon, Office Magazine, KEPX and Consequence of Sound. Since, Cotillon has toured with the likes of Hinds, Lee Ronaldo, The Chills, and performed a sold-out headline show in Paris.
