LA’s soulful R&B/dream-pop RKCB share live video of ‘Know Love’

by the partae December 19, 2018
written by the partae

“Modern, soulful R&B-pop hinged on elastic vocals that can stretch into a perfectly pitched falsetto, pulsating synths,  and a production value so clean you could eat your morning eggs off it.” – Noisey

“Riley Knapp and Casey Barth have a knack for creating electronic music that pulses with R&B sensibilities.” – NYLON

“…a world-spanning, reality-bending epic that befits the dreamy, R&B-tinged track…” – Billboard

LA’s soulful R&B/dream pop duo RKCB are fresh off the release of two acclaimed singles, ‘Alone With You Pt. 2’ (buy/stream) and ‘Know Love’ (buy/stream), and now the duo have announced a massive co-headlining tour with Shoffy, their biggest tour to date. Head here for more info and tickets for each show. To coincide with the tour, RKCB are sharing a live video of them performing their recent hit “Know Love” ( YouTube), which will give you a great idea of what to expect from their live show!

“The See For Yourself Tour is going to be a really special one for us. We’re bringing on a lot of new elements and creating more moments to really immerse the audience in our world. We want to transform the stage into the dreamscapes we envisioned when we made this EP. It’s also so exciting to be sharing the stage and vision with our good friend Shoffy. We can’t wait to bring this show to so many new cities.” – RKCB

RKCB are an LA-based production duo comprised of Riley Knapp and Casey Barth, whose alchemic sound fuses neo-soul, modern electronic R&B and dreamy synth-pop with avant-garde lyrics, resulting in an unparalleled sound. Accomplished producers and songwriters in their own right, having worked with Tinashe Julia Michaels, Kacy Hill & more (alongside eclipsing 100 million Spotify on their own tracks), RKCB are poised to have a break-out year all their own in 2019.

After spending the majority of 2018 in seclusion in the studio, RKCB returned to the spotlight in late September with ‘Alone With You Pt. 2’ followed closely by ‘Know Love’ in early October. The latter draws upon the moody aesthetic set forth on ‘Alone With You Pt. 2’ and adds in the duo’s modern production techniques to include warm synth lines and heart-pounding percussion that wash over the listener, while RKCB’s impassioned vocals elevate the track to exorbitant levels. Both songs are out now through AllPoints, ahead of the release of the duo’s new EP which will be coming out in the midst of the tour… but more on that soon!

Don’t hesitate to reach out if we can make something happen around any of the dates, or if you’d like review tickets – we’d be more than happy to set you up.

People Luminous

by the partae December 19, 2018
written by the partae

What is your name and role within People Luminous?

Hey, I’m Nicky Swamp and I handle the creative direction in PL

You’re apart of a growing underground Hip Hop culture on the Gold Coast, please tell us about this music scene and all the goings on:

Apart from us and the ever growing dance community the GC has no hip hop scene. It was killed by wannabe gangsters, ice junkies, Eminem idolising bogans and cultural appropriation to a level where small town white kids were, maybe still are freely saying the N word to each other with zero understanding of anything let alone culture. We’re a new movement of love and positivity. Gold Coast is paradise, act like it. People Luminous is the community.

How did People Luminous form?

It never formed, it’s always been. We just put the PL label on it in 2017.

What have you been working on lately?

We’re seriously sitting on so much content. We’re waiting for the right time to release and we’re still trying to crack the playlist game. Seems like unless you know the people putting putting them together you don’t stand a chance and radio will only play you if you’re already popular. We might just go against all advice and put everything out in December/January just because we’re told not to.

You’re gaining a reputation for throwing wild  warehouse parties, please tell us how these came about and what the whole experience is like:

It’s real life. We don’t advertise. If you know you know. You gotta know us or someone we move with to be there. If we can fill a warehouse without a mention on social media then we’re happy. You wanna invite?

What do you have planned for the remainder of 2018 going into 2019?

Maybe back to back tacks ever tuesday arvo at 2.15 or maybe nothing until
February, we’ll see… Next warehouse party is December 21st tho.

Who are you listening to at the moment?

Right now I hear Chronixx from my lounge room. Hot Wax will get played at some point, I.E., Manu Crook$ but apart from that we aint trying to hear anything outside of the circle. It messes with your energy.

Your single and music video ‘Garms’ is out now, what influenced the sound and songwriting for this track?

Mainly me spending too much money or clothes and shoes. the mindset has changed since we made this earlier this year. I actually got a book on minimalism the other day. It’s hard to be content when you’re crowded with unnecessary stuff.

Where and when did you record?

it’s all in house at the PL compound. Matt Gray on production and LGHTYR at the controls. We’ve been recording togther since the end of 2017, it never ends.

How did the music video come about?

Our guy ACE Cubes is always on sight with the camera. We just get it done and move on.

What do you like to do away from music?

Pray and give thanks for all we have and the blessed life we live.

Favourite food and place to hangout?

My kitchen. Ask anyone in PL, I’m the head chef around hear.

Carl Cox, Hardware & Bush Records present: PURE 2019 LINE-UP ANNOUNCEMENT + ADELAIDE INTRODUCED TO TOUR

by the partae December 18, 2018
written by the partae

One of Australia’s most loved techno events: PURE, returns for its fourth year in 2019, to announce its biggest line-up to date! PURE, presented and curated by Carl Cox, Eric Powell of Bush Records and Richie McNeill of Hardware, will see Carl Cox (Intec, Australia), Marco Carola (Music On, Italy), Joseph Capriati (Redimension, Italy), Enrico Sangiuliano (Drumcode, Italy) and Eric Powell (Bush Records, Australia) take PURE to new heights in 2019.

After its first year in Ibiza winning ‘Best Event’ of the summer in September 2017, this year the Australian leg expands to include Adelaide fans for the first time alongside regulars: Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.  PURE 2019 will tour Australia over the Easter weekends in April 2019 and Adelaide will also be getting in on the action of Australia’s largest techno event! Adelaide ravers get ready!

Celebrating techno and house music, PURE has quickly established itself as a ‘must attend’ event for dance music fans, thanks to its reputation as an event where the audience can make a special connection with the DJs.

In April of 2016, Carl Cox launched the first instalment of his PURE event in Australia.  Taking place in Melbourne and Sydney, the event showcased players from the global Techno and House movements.

Marco Carola from Italy has enjoyed being a global techno ambassador, instrumental in the development of the electronic scene in the early 90’s.  Over twenty years later and Marco is still one of the most respected artists amongst the techno faithful, widely regarded as one of the key factors in driving the genre towards worldwide recognition within electronic music.  Joseph Capriati from Italy needs no introduction.  Now over a decade into his career as a globally touring DJ, there’s hardly an accolade he hasn’t achieved.  He is deservedly one of techno’s most in-demand headliners and continues to better himself as an artist.  Capriati’s brand of slick and emotive techno, delivered with precision, flair and infectious energy, has become a staple highlight of the global club and festival circuit.  Enrico Sangiuliano is a name you will have noted if you have been anywhere in the electronic music scene over the last few years.  International recognition came in 2015 with his remix of DJ Boris’s ‘Can You Hear Me’ on Alleanza, claiming the title as Beatport’s ‘highest selling techno track’ and being known for his driving techno, reminiscent of his peers Joseph Capriati and Marco Carola.

Join the crew for a night of Pure techno, delivered with incredible sound in an old fashioned no nonsense, no fluff rave atmosphere.

Pure 2019 Lineup Line-up:

Carl Cox (Intec, Australia)

Marco Carola (Music On, Italy)

Joseph Capriati (Redimension, Italy)

Enrico Sangiuliano (Drumcode, Italy)

Eric Powell (Bush Records, Australia)

And more to be announced.

THE GROWLERS Release New Single ‘Who Loves The Scum?’ + Beach Goth Aus Tour Jan ’19

by the partae December 18, 2018
written by the partae

“While the title tips its hat to The Velvet Underground (“not everyone”), this is a Growlers track, garagey and poppy, through and through.” – Brooklyn Vegan

“We’d suggest getting yourselves along and expecting the unexpected;
Growlers gigs go long and get wild.”– Monster Children

“Nor gypsy, nor skater, nor goth, nor hobo, nor surfer, nor punk, yet somehow all of these things. The Growlers just might be the most interesting band in the world, certainly one of the coolest.”
– Julian Casablancas

California’s radical sons, THE GROWLERS release their brand-new, fuzz-laden single ‘Who Loves the Scum?’ including a limited-edition seven-inch single via the band’s own label Beach Goth Records.

The deliciously scuzzy track written by Brooks Nielsen and Matt Taylor was produced by long-time friend and collaborator Julian Casablancas (who produced The Growlers 2016’s LP City Club) as well as Grammy award winning producer Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, War On Drugs, Weezer).

The track premiered via Life Without Andy who declared “the track features the wailing avant-garde guitar solos and doubled vocals we heard on City Club, mixed with the rawness of their 2018 demo collection Casual Acquaintances. Of course, there’s sprays of surf, and washes of garage.”

‘Who Loves the Scum?’ arrives exactly one month ahead of the Australian east-coast leg of THE GROWLERS worldwide ‘Beach Goth’ tour and will see the prolific party band play some of their biggest Oz venues to date including the iconic Forum Theatre in Melbourne and The Metro Theatre in Sydney. The tour kicks off on the Gold Coast on Jan 10 and is also stopping in the Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Byron Bay, and Adelaide.

Supports are announced for each state including BABE RAINBOW, THE CHATS and PIST IDIOTS with MORE local acts yet to be added. Tickets are selling fast. Grab em before they are gone viahttp://lovepolice.com.au/the-growlers-2019/.

From their first LP Are You In or Out? (2009) to their latest LP Casual Acquaintances (2018), The Growlers have forged their own twisted path on the global music scene. They’re the party band that grew into a traveling circus that spawned their own hit event, Beach Goth. Lead singer Brooks Nielsen draws a particular devotion among Growlers fans, as does chief cohort Matt Taylor, The Growlers’ music director and lead guitarist. Their most recent LP was 2016’s City Club, produced by Julian Casablancas, which saw them expand their palette to include West African, dance, and electronic influences.

PRINCESS NOKIA re-releases Metallic Butterfly (Remastered & Expanded)

by the partae December 18, 2018
written by the partae
Princess Nokia has re-released a remastered and expanded version of her 2014 debut full lengthMetallic Butterfly via Rough Trade Records, featuring three bonus tracks from the era. Before the rapper/actor/model/intersectional feminist became the icon she is today, Destiny Frasqueri was a young trip-hop and Bjork-obsessed NYC raver kid. The album showcases all sides of what we’ve now come to know as the definitive multi-faceted artist Princess Nokia: music lover, philosopher, activist and anime nerd. The music was composed entirely with hip-hop producer OWWWLS, who also worked closely with her on 1992 Deluxe and has been her current live DJ.

When the album was originally released, Vice called it “one of the most exciting and ambitious independently released albums to come out of the New York underground in a long time” and Complexadds, “we’re treated to her raw, but emotionally-rich talent as a vocalist on Butterfly… It’s clear this girl’s talents are vast.”

Metallic Butterfly (Remastered & Expanded) features some of the enduring hits that are part of her live show, such as the pumped-up, drum-n-bass love song ‘Dragons,’ the Afro-Latina pride anthem ‘Corazon En Afrika,’ and the empowering mantra ‘Young Girls.’ These fan favourites and more are finally available on streaming services for the first time.

The shape-shifting emcee has been releasing music via YouTube and Soundcloud since she was in high school and catapulted herself to the next level with 1992 Deluxe—selling out venues across the globe and steadily gaining tens of millions of streams. Earlier this year, she released A Girl Cried Red–her mixtape showcasing another fully formed side of Destiny that still taps into the uncompromising feminist ideology of Princess Nokia.

Purchase / Stream Metallic Butterfly: https://princessnokia.lnk.to/metallicbutterfly

Additionally, below is a handwritten letter that Destiny wrote on the day of the record’s original release, it’s quite something. Please feel free to share.

Melbourne Winter Masterpieces revealed: a dual presentation of China’s Terracotta Warriors with Cai Guo-Qiang – 24 May 2019 – 13 October 2019 | NGV International | Admission fees apply

written by the partae

In a dual presentation of Chinese art and culture past and present, the Melbourne Winter Masterpieces series at the National Gallery of Victoria will present China’s ancient Terracotta Warriors alongside a parallel display of new works by one of the world’s most exciting contemporary artists, Cai Guo-Qiang, at NGV International, May 2019.

Terracotta Warriors: Guardians of Immortality is a large-scale presentation of the Qin Emperor’s Terracotta Warriors, which, discovered in 1974 in China’s Shaanxi province, are regarded as one of the greatest archaeological finds of the twentieth century and widely described as the eighth wonder of the world. The exhibition will feature eight warrior figures and two life-size horses from the Imperial Army, as well as two half-size replica bronze chariots, each drawn by four horses.

These sculptures will be contextualised by an unprecedented Australian presentation of more than 150 exquisite ancient treasures of Chinese historic art and design lent by leading museums and archaeological sites from across Shaanxi province. These include priceless gold, jade and bronze artefacts that date from the Western Zhou through to the Han dynasties (1046 BC – 220AD). Illuminating more than a millennium of Chinese history, the exhibition will showcase the magnificence and authority of the once-entombed figures and reveal, through the intricate display of accompanying objects and artefacts, the sophistication that characterised the formative years of Chinese civilisation.

Presented in parallel, Cai Guo-Qiang: The Transient Landscape, will see contemporary artist, Cai Guo-Qiang, create all new art works inspired by his home country’s culture and its enduring philosophical traditions, including a monumental installation of 10,000 suspended porcelain birds. Spiralling over visitors’ heads, the birds create a three-dimensional impression of a calligraphic drawing of the sacred Mount Li, the site of the ancient tomb of China’s first emperor, Qin Shihuang, and his warriors. Cai will collaborate on the exhibition’s design, creating breathtaking immersive environments for the presentation of both his work and the Terracotta Warriors.

Drawing on Cai’s understanding of ancient Chinese culture and his belief that a dialogue with tradition and history can invigorate contemporary art, he will also create a monumental porcelain sculpture of peonies, placed at the centre of a 360-degree gunpowder drawing.

Tony Ellwood AM, Director, NGV said: ‘Thirty-six years ago, in 1982, the National Gallery of Victoria presented the first international exhibition of China’s ancient Terracotta Warriors only several years after their discovery. History will be made again in 2019, when the Qin Emperor’s Terracotta Army will return to the NGV for the 2019 Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition series – this time in a sophisticated dialogue with the work one of China’s most celebrated contemporary artists, Cai Guo-Qiang.’

Of the parallel presentation, Cai said: ‘They are two rivers of time separated by two millennia, each creating a course at their own individual speed across a series of shared galleries. The ancient and the contemporary – two surges of energy that crisscross, pull, interact and complement each other, generating a powerful tension and contrast, each attracting and resisting the other.’

Jeff Xu, Founder and Managing Director, Golden Age Group said:  ‘This exhibition will inspire Australian and international audiences to delve deeper into the many rich and diverse facets of China’s heritage. As Principal Partner, Golden Age is pleased to support such an ambitious world-exclusive showing in Victoria,  demonstrating our commitment to Melbourne as the cultural capital. We believe this exhibition will leave a lasting impression on this city for decades to come.’

This exhibition was organized by the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, in partnership with Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, Shaanxi History Museum, Shaanxi Cultural Heritage Promotion Centre, and Emperor Qin Shihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum of the People’s Republic of China.

The Melbourne Winter Masterpieces presentation of Terracotta Warriors: Guardians of Immortality and Cai Guo-Qiang: The Transient Landscape will be on display from 24 May 2019 – 13 October 2019 at NGV International, 180 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, Australia. Tickets and information are available from the NGV website NGV.MELBOURNE.

Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there?

I’m in Guelph- I’m not sure yet how it compares to other towns but so far I find the music peeps in Guelph incredibly welcoming and warm to new artists and sounds.  I’ve met a lot of artists from the area who work super hard and make cool, unique stuff, and they’ve all had a massive impact on me this year.

How did you first start playing music?

I started with piano when I was a smol bean.  I got into electronic music when I met my friend from the band SolarSolar, and got sucked in by their pulsing, ghostly music and my friend’s soundtrack work.

You are a relatively new artist on the scene, what have you found most challenging and rewarding along the way?

The most challenging thing for me was getting used to the idea that I needed to actually go out and meet people and play my music in front of them.  Once I finally put together a set, I was actually excited to get out and do it live.  Now I’m far more into with it than I ever expected to be.

What have you been working on in 2018?
2018 was a lot of acquiring the music gear I needed, learning how to use it and just creating a bunch of stuff in isolation.  Other artists and music friends told me I needed to start playing out, so I kind of reluctantly put my live set together over the summer, and played my first show at the end of it.  I understand how important that is now, and I’ve met some really cool artists and bands, so I’m thankful I’ve had some supportive people around to push me with the live set thing.

What do you have planned for 2019?
2019 is the future so I’d like to go to space.

Who are you listening to at the moment?

I’m not doing a ton of listening to other music atm as I’ve been busy finalizing the mixes for my album.  But I know Phosphorescent and Empress Of have new albums out that I’m going to pay attention to next.  I listen to Brian Eno to help with sleep sometimes.

What programs/equipment do you use?

Lately I use a mix of Maschine and Cubase to arrange and produce my music.  I recorded some of my vocals for the album with a bluebird condenser mic and then later upgraded (imo) and did some with an akg c414 condenser.  I use a lot of Native Instruments software – I LOVE their Kinetic Toys and Kinetic Metal instruments, and Replika XT is an awesome delay with lots of modes and effects.  I record my samples with a Zoom H4n.  It’s a really really fun tool and with a massive range- you could listen into your neighbours’ homes with it, hëhė.  I don’t do that.

How do you usually go about writing music?

There’s so many different ways, depending on the song.  For my song Armadilla, I took all the samples outside one night and then made a kit with them in Maschine on my laptop.  I made the initial synth loop and then played my sample kit over top of it and built the song up from those loops.  I arranged the instrumental track, and then spent some time writing the lead vocals, and filled out the sonic gaps with a minilogue synth.

Who or what influences your sound and songwriting?

¡Aliens!¶[] [] ~[] and Henlo.

What direction do you see electro going in the future?

I think sampling organic sounds is a really big thing that people are getting more into.  It’s interesting how instruments have branched out from naturally resonant bodies like flutes, lutes, pianos, harps etc., towards the more electric sounds from guitars and analog synths and then digital synths and computer software.  And now some of us are throwing sand and slapping flowers and rocks and making songs out of that.  It’s circled back to the way all this music stuff began except now one person can record the individual sounds on a portable mic and paste it around on their computers to create a boppin jam.  It’s not a brand new thing as of the 21th century but I think definitely becoming more common.

What do you like to do away from music?
I love birb memes and videos.. I love birbs.  I watch a lot of videos of birbs being dinks.  I also like playing video games and lately, a lot of phone games.  Brilliant ones like Machinarium and life-wasting ones like Flip Trickster.

Favourite food and place to hangout?
Fruit by the Foot!  And tofu made by someone who gets it.  I like being on boats.

THE BEASTS Announce Tour Supports DALLAS CRANE, THE JOHNNYS & THE PAINKILLERS

by the partae December 18, 2018
written by the partae
Today, The Beasts announce the support acts for their upcoming ‘The Beasts Still Here’ national Australian tour this February / March 2019.

Joining them for both Melbourne shows in St Kilda (Friday 22nd February) and Northcote (Saturday 23rd) are ARIA nominated alternative rockers Dallas Crane.

Trailblazing cowpunks The Johnnys are back with the current line-up of Graham Hood (bass and vocals), Slim Doherty (guitar) and Billy Pommer Jr (drums) and will be joining their mates The Beasts in Byron Bay (Friday 1st March) Brisbane (Saturday 2nd), Canberra (Thursday 7th), Sydney (Friday 8th), Newcastle (Saturday 9th) and Adelaide (Sunday 17th).

And finally, WA’s The Painkillers’ will perform their unique blend of folk, blues, rock ’n’ roll and punk in Fremantle (Thursday 14th March) and Perth (Friday 15th and Saturday 16th).

LISTEN TO THE BEASTS NEW SINGLE ‘ON MY BACK’ HERE

After an extremely emotional final performance with the Beasts of Bourbon, Tex Perkins hit upon the idea of getting all of the band’s members, past and present into a recording studio with no particular agenda other than to do just that. It was more of a celebratory thing he had in mind than anything. Sadly, bassist Brian Hooper didn’t make it along as he passed away a week after the Beasts last show.

Assembled in Soundpark Studio a couple of weeks later were, Charlie Owen, Boris Sujdovic, Tony Pola, Spencer Jones, Kim Salmon and Tex Perkins. They were unprepared save for some some sketchy ideas, loose ends and a couple of covers. With limited time the band knocked together a collection of jams pretty much true to the crazy M.O. employed back when The Axeman’s Jazz got laid down in that fateful eight-hour session in 1983.

Deeply sad is that Spencer was only around long enough to make it onto one track. Absolutely wonderful is that he did make it onto the recording. And with such a funny and typically Jones style piece of observation as At The Hospital.

With respect, this isn’t the Beasts of Bourbon. It would need to have Jonesy on every track to be that! But loudly and proudly this is: The Beasts Still Here.

The Beasts album ‘Still Here’ is released Friday 15th February 2019 on Bang! Records (Rocket).

Electronic collective La Fine Equipe share new 90s inspired video for ‘What Eva’

by the partae December 18, 2018
written by the partae

“The throwback aesthetic is prominent throughout the video, paired with the bass-heavy, synth-driven boom-bap styled production of the track” – Earmilk

Rising French electronic collective and label owners, La Fine Equipe, are pleased to announce details of a brand new visual for ‘What Eva’ ft. Mr. J. Medeiros released through Nowadays Records this December.

The band detail the video: “We wanted it to look like a 90s VHS that was put on the VCR. Part of the charm was its fuzzy, imperfect look so apparent during that era. ‘What Eva’ embodies a strong DIY ethos and we the band, did most of the filming ourselves using a small handheld camcorder. Everything was filmed on location in the supermarket. There are no 3D models. The song and visual is also a homage to the strong visual elements often found in 90s music videos like Mc Solaar’s ‘New Western’ and French hiphop outfit IAM’s ‘Je danse le Mia’. There is a surreal sequence in the video where we are surrounded by a kaleidoscopic display of supermarket products. To summarize, we had a complete blast filming this”.

La Fine Equipe are strongly influenced by hip-hop royalty like J Dilla, Mos Def and Madlib. The four French beatmakers, Oogo, Chomsky, Mr, Gib and Blanka from (Marseille and Paris collectively continue their journey with a new album due in March 2019. The group’s debut album, ‘La Boulangerie’, attained cult status and propelled the band into the mainstream consciousness. This led to the release of three more critally acclaimed albums ‘Fantastic Planet’ (2010), ‘La Boulangerie 2’ (2011) and ‘La Boulangerie 3’ (2014) and the creation of celebrated electronic label Nowadays Records that recently celebrated their 5 year anniversary with a special 23 track compilation ‘Nowadays V’ featuring label signings like Fakear, Clement Bazin, Robert Robert and more.
La Fine Equipe have also taken their hi-octane live shows across Europe including festivals like Les Vieilles Charrues, Dour, Les Francofolies, the Printemps de Bourges and the Couleur Café festival and a mini tour of Asia. The band also won the Deezer Adami Award and glowing reviews in tastemaker press like Arte, MixMag and Boiler Room, who invited them to be part of their legendary Boiler Room Sessions in Paris and London.

FRACTURES DEBUTS COVER OF “EASTSIDE”

by the partae December 18, 2018

A BEAUTIFUL TAKE ON HIT TRACK FROM BENNY BLANCO, HALSEY & KHALID
SINGLE OUT NOW VIA FADER LABEL / CAROLINE AUSTRALIA
Today, Fractures releases a cover of Benny Blanco, Halsey, and Khalid’s hit summer track “Eastside”, via the FADER Label / Caroline Australia.

Fractures’ beautiful cover of “Eastside” brings added musical production including synths and layered guitar melodies that build and break at the chorus. The introduction of new melodies and Mark Zito’s captivating vocals provide added emotion to the track.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95CORsx6ta0
Mark Zito of Fractures originally decided to cover “Eastside” because of his appreciation for Khalid. He says, “I’m not a person who typically seeks out new music, or any music for that matter. I tend to let it come to me and that can take months but by whatever means I found myself getting lost in Khalid’s work…to redesign someone else’s work, work with which you already have a great appreciation, is always a risky prospect so I can only hope I did it justice but I know I’m happy with it and thankful the song exists.”

Fractures  made his debut on FADER Label this fall with “Sculptures”, which Billboard called “haunting, ethereal.” Soon after, he released an acoustic performance of “Sculptures” capturing the emotional sentiments in the song about doubt and affirmation. Watch it here. Last month, Fractures followed up with “Dawn”, a track with layered, intricate instrumentation about the importance of straying from the path and taking risks. “Dawn” was this week added to spot rotation on triple j.

Stay tuned for announcements, and visit fracturesmusic.com.au for more information.
