R3HAB kicks off the new decade with “More Than OK” in collaboration with singer/songwriter Clara Mae and producer Frank Walker – a melodic and vibey tune that’s full of hope as much as heartache. The track opens with dreamy, organic instrumentals that create a sumptuous backdrop for Clara Mae’s stunning vocals as she performs lyrics about a couple losing the magic in their relationship. “More Than OK” is a song about never settling for love or life that doesn’t set your soul on fire every day, a message that many will relate to as they move into a new year of goals and resolutions. The new single is R3HAB’s first collaboration with Clara Mae, and the second time he works with Frank Walker, who enlisted R3HAB as a remixer of his “Heartbreak Back” in 2018, which went gold in Canada. After spending years studying jazz vocals and piano in her small town of Gävle, Sweden, Clara Mae garnered attention by co-writing with the likes of David Guetta, Tiesto and Martin Jensen. She soon after co-wrote and featured on KREAM’s “Taped Up Heart,” which boasts over 130 million streams and reached the top 25 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Her debut EP Sorry For Writing All The Songs About You (available now via Big Beat Records) collectively boasts over 75 million worldwide streams to date. The 6-track collection was heralded by the release of “Rooftop,” collaborative single “Better Me Better You” with Jake Miller (which the duo performed on the Elvis Duran Show and MTV’s TRL), “I’m Not Her” (praised as “a pop anthem” by Culture Collide) and “I Forgot” (deemed “the perfect anthem” for running into an ex-flame by Refinery 29). Most recently, Clara released tracks “Lost” and “Unmiss You,” in addition to touring in support of singer-songwriter Ella Vos in North America and European tours with singer-producer Alex Aiono and singer-songwriter Carlie Hanson.

Lucifour M is a band whose multifaceted and multidimensional music features many references to cinematic works. 

The two musicians Michele Ducci and Marco Frattini have already been playing together as “M+A” for a while when they had the chance to perform as opening act for Bryan Ferry at Glastonbury Festival. It was there in the backstage that the idea of founding Lucifour M as a full band came into being when Ducci played new sketches of songs to Frattini. In the further course Michele Manzo (bass, guitar and keys) and Mattia Dallara  (samplers and keys) already part of better known Amycanbe, should come to the project and complete the band as a quartet.

The main recordings of Lucifour M’s debut EP “UNO”, which has been released on Sonar Kollektiv Berlin in September 2019, have been produced within the scope of three extensive studio sessions where the four have recorded live versions of their jamming and playing.

Kaskade joins forces with the Swedish trio BROHUG (composed of John Dahlbäck, and Chris and Niklas Lunde) for perhaps the most prolific throwback single in electronic music to date, a tribute to one of the most significant years in music – 1990. The namesake-titled track is a play on SNAP!’s iconic “The Power,” reworked with snippets of the original vocals set to Kaskade and BROHUG’s ingenious production. Opening with a groovy melody as the backdrop to nostalgia-ridden lyrical riffs, “1990” progressively builds the tension to almost unbearable levels. We all know the moments just before a track of this magnitude drops, and the pressure is real right before the bouncy and driving crescendo, on which every old school fan’s favorite line, “I’ve Got the Power!” rides perfectly. “1990” is out on Kaskade’s Arkade imprint. As a household name in electronic music for nearly two decades, Kaskade needs no introduction. His list of achievements is a mile long: 11 studio albums, 7 GRAMMY nominations, the first solo electronic dance artist to sell out both Navy Pier in Chicago and the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the first DJ to ever secure a Las Vegas residency, and the first electronic artist to headline Coachella. Less tangible but even more important has been his influence on dance music tastes and culture for generations of listeners. Often Kaskade is one of the artists who introduced now-veteran listeners to the genre, and such fans are usually fans for life. Soothing and introspective, Yeppoon based trio Ava Kaydo showcase their unique blend of psychedelic dream pop and indie rock with debut single ‘Lucid’.

Formed in 2017 and inspired by ‘fruit puns and too many beers’, Maddy, Ben and Jeremy are ready to take Ava Kaydo out of coastal Central Queensland and spread their track across the indie music scene.

Slow-reverb guitar chords paired with drum progression and hypnotising vocals creating a hazy and aurally blissful soundscape. “We try and achieve a dreamy vibe in all our songs with a groovy beat’, and the band have done just that. The track explores the idea of lucid dreaming as a form of escapism from difficult emotions.

“Our single ‘Lucid’ explores the concept of lucid dreaming and how its an escape from shitty emotions”, explains Maddy Chalk.

Taking notes from Ocean Alley, Tame Impala, Methyl Ethel and DMA’s, Ava Kaydo are a breezy mix of ambient indie rock on the cusp of psychedelia. Amongst creating music, the band are also passionate about keeping the rural Australian music scene alive and have been seen playing alongside names like Kingswood, The Hoodoo Gurus and Tia Gostelow.
