EIMHIN RETURNS WITH ENTRANCING NEW TRACK “FADING EMBER HYMN”

PREVIEW HERE

Gold Coast / Yugambeh based Irish-folk artist Eimhin (pronounced Ev-an) has returned with his entrancing new single “Fading Ember Hymn”. With his previous track “7 Months In Space” garnering notable industry praise, “Fading Ember Hymn” marks the latest addition to his upcoming debut album Modern Mending (of the heart).

As the name suggests, this ruminative track echoes feelings of melancholy with sweet and solemn orchestrals. Eimhin’s ethereal vocals bring warmth to a chilling soundscape of harp, violin and organ. Layered instruments swell and fade as Eimhin captures the complex feeling of watching a loved one drift from you and having to relinquish control as you realise the gap cannot be closed.

Eimhin shared, “Fading Ember Hymn is about worrying about somebody that you care about. I wrote most of it at the start of a relationship when things were good and finished it some years later after we had broken up. Perspective can be sobering. I wanted it to feel like a prayer, so we opted for using sparse organ and electric piano parts bookended with a lonely violin to evoke a longing.

I wanted the end to feel triumphant somehow, that’s where the melodic shift and the refrain takes place. I like the looseness of it, it feels nostalgic to me.”

Eimhin’s debut album Modern Mending (of the heart) is due out mid-2024.

Eimhin “7 Fading Ember Hymn” Single Launch

Thursday 29 February 2024

El Ranchero, Burleigh Heads, QLD

Free entry

Originally hailing from Ireland, Eimhin has had quite the musical journey before setting down roots in Australia and establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in the indie-folk scene. Eimhin explored musical theatre in his teenage years before answering to the call of punk rock, hardcore, glam and emo, playing in multiple bands. Inspired by fashion icons like David Bowie and Prince, Eimhin gravitates toward the unorthodox and challenges restrictive cultural norms through his gender expression.

Since moving to Australia and finding his feet as a folk artist, Eimhin has shared a stage with the likes of First Beige and Peach Fur and scored himself a Video of The Year nomination at the 2023 Gold Coast Music Awards for “Lately”. Eimhin set out on an 11 date EU tour in June 2023 before returning to play an unofficial BIGSOUND showcase. Capturing audiences with his Irish charm and alluring presence, Eimhin is doing his darndest to be his authentic self whilst making some incredible music in the process.

Nicky Romero Gears Up For 2024’s Ultra Music Festival Performance With New Single “All Night Long,” Which He Premiered at The Festival Last Year. Out Now on Protocol Recordings

by the partae February 26, 2024
written by the partae

Artist: Nicky Romero
Title: All Night Long
Label: Protocol Recordings

Download / Stream

With the 2024 festival season quickly approaching, Nicky Romero is ready to get the party started with his new track – “All Night Long.” The legendary DJ and producer is at his best with this release, fusing his progressive house roots with a more pop-oriented aesthetic to make for a track with plenty of four-on-the-floor bass, percussive synths, and upbeat piano melodies. The vocals and lyrics add the perfect complement to the record, making for a dancefloor heater that’s sure to get the crowd moving at many of his upcoming festival and club sets. If this doesn’t scream “Who’s ready for Miami Music Week?” we’re not sure what does. “All Night Long” was premiered by Romero at UMF back in 2023 and serves as a perfect prologue to his forthcoming Ultra Music Festival performance this year in March. It also follows Nicky‘s “Tomorrow Comes” with Deniz Koyu and Jaimes from January. As always, stay tuned for more dynamic dancefloor gems from Nicky and the Protocol family.

“I wrote ‘All Night Long‘ during a production camp here at the studios in early 2023. After the camp, I finished it and played it at the Ultra Music Festival in 2023 as an opening track of my set. It’s an uplifting record that quickly gives the crowd a good vibe.” – Nicky Romero

After taking the world by storm with early hits such as “Legacy” with Krewella, “Like Home” with NERVO and the #1 single “I Could Be The One” with Avicii, Nicky Romero quickly proved that his talent is ever-evolving and here to stay. After launching his Protocol Recordings imprint in 2012, the renowned performer, producer, and label head continued his personal successes with a string of high-profile releases, ranging from collaborations with Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, Timmy Trumpet, Steve Aoki, Jonas Blue and Hardwell to remixes for the likes of Bebe Rexha, Robin Schulz, Kygo, Rita Ora, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Jess Glynne, Calvin Harris, RAYE, and more. While showcasing his label’s roster via his weekly Protocol Radio show, Nicky Romero continues to innovate and evolve, and with his annual “Nicky Romero & Friends” ADE showcase and the launch of Monocule alter-ego, he keeps proving his ability to turn into gold everything he touches and continues to push boundaries with each show concept, where he has set the bar high late last year with his first-ever solo show – “Nightvision,” and new release, forever instilling himself as a dance music icon.

UK’s Switch Disco Team Up with Multi-platinum Artists R3HAB and Sam Feldt For Upbeat House Single “Sleep Tonight (This Is The Life).” Out Now on

by the partae February 26, 2024
written by the partae

Artists: Switch Disco, R3HAB, Sam Feldt
Title: Sleep Tonight (This Is The Life)
Label: Sony Music/Relentless Records

Download / Stream

UK‘s masters of mash-ups, Switch Disco, have teamed up with the renowned multi-platinum Dutch producers R3HAB and Sam Feldt for an impressive joining of forces on their new track “Sleep Tonight (This Is The Life),” a dynamic house-pop tune that fuses each artists’ signature style. The track opens with its soulful vocals shining over a bouncy bassline, incorporating energetic melodies and deeper notes to make for a fun yet moody piece that feels at home in the club or on the radio, and we have to agree that Switch Disco brings the perfect amount of heat in “Sleep Tonight.” R3HAB and Sam most recently worked together when Feldt remixed R3HAB, INNA and Sash! ‘s summer hit “Rock My Body.”

“We are honored to be collaborating with two of our favorite artists on our new single – ‘Sleep Tonight.’ Both R3HAB and Sam Feldt‘s records have been part of our live sets for many years, so to be releasing a track together is yet another dream come true for us. We hope that we have done justice to Amy Macdonald‘s original.” – Switch Disco

“Switch Disco made an instant impact with their dance hit ‘REACT‘ and when I first heard it I knew we had to join forces. We were stoked when Sam Feldt joined the production as well. Sam and I remixed each other’s 2023 summer hit records, and our energies are a great fit. We combined the best of us in ‘Sleep Tonight,’ and we hope you love it as much as we do.” – R3HAB

“Teaming up with R3HAB and Switch Disco on ‘Sleep Tonight‘ has been nothing short of magical. After remixing their tracks in the past, coming together for this collab feels like a reunion of old friends, crafting something truly special. This track embodies our combined passion for dance music, a perfect blend of our distinct styles that feels like a warm embrace in the form of a song. It’s a celebration, a moment we’ve all created together, and I can’t wait for you to feel the energy and emotion we’ve poured into it.” – Sam Feldt

Switch Disco

Fresh from their hugely successful Ella Henderson collaboration “REACT” earlier this year, the UK‘s number one mashup DJ duo Switch Disco are dropping their new music via Relentless Records. “REACT” was nominated for BRIT Awards, peaked at #4 in the UK Official Charts, 10 weeks in the UK Official Chart’s ‘Top 10‘. The track now ranks as the UK‘s #2nd best-selling Dance track released this year, #6th best-selling track released in 2023, and 18th best-selling track of the year overall. This two-man DJ / producer team has been working alongside each other for almost 10 years since their individual careers in the British and Greek music scenes collided together, resulting in a truly unique creative partnership. This summer has been their biggest ever with a 21-week residency at Ibiza Rocks in addition to multiple shows a week across Europe and the US.

R3HAB

Multi-Platinum DJ and producer Fadil El Ghoul, better known as R3HAB, has been trailblazing his way through dance music for the past fifteen years. From his breakthrough remixes for Rihanna, Drake, Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris, Sia, Jason Derulo, Ed Sheeran, Tyga, Ellie Goulding, The Chainsmokers, P!nk, to name only a few, to anthems such as multi-Platinum-certified “All Around The World (La La La),” “Lullaby” with Mike Williams, “Flames” with ZAYN and Jungleboi, or “Creep” with Gattüso, to his collaborations with the likes of Ava Max, Luis Fonsi, Sean Paul, Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Lukas Graham, Icona Pop, and more, R3HAB has proven to be one of the most forward-thinking artists in the game. His work has collected over 10 billion streams to date, including over 1 billion in 2023 alone. He is Spotify’s Most Discovered Artist, one of Spotify’s top 300 most streamed artists, ranked #14 on the prestigious DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs chart, and has earned over 80 Gold and Platinum certificates. On top of that, he performed at the world’s top festivals, such as EDC, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Balaton Sound, Coachella, Summer Sonic Festival, DWP Jakarta, and more. With his combination of innate artistry and innovative attitude, R3HAB has earned his place as a household name in dance music.

Sam Feldt

Over the past eight years, Sam Feldt has established himself as one of the world’s most sought-after electronic artists through a slate of acclaimed releases, collaborations, remixes, and live performances. He has taken massive stages worldwide, including at Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, Tomorrowland, EDC, and many more. Since 2014, when his remake of Robin S‘s “Show Me Love” was released, the Dutch artist has been steadily, and with genuine care, building the Sam Feldt brand. In 2023, the platinum-selling DJ and producer has an enviable ecosystem that includes Heartfeldt Records, Heartfeldt Publishing, Heartfeldt Radio, and Heartfeldt Events. Sam scored a massive hit with 2019’s “Post Malone” (feat. RANI). In addition, a raft of other great singles have tracked not only his considerable musical evolution but his rising star amongst the heavy hitters in the mainstream pop world who now seek him out for collaboration, like Kesha (“Stronger“) and Rita Ora (“Follow Me“). A prolific 2022 also saw the release of several singles, including “Better” with Gavin James and “How Many Tears” with Kygo and Emily Warren, along with a host of remixes, most recently of “Never Not Gonna Dance Again” by P!NK and “Don’t Cry For Me” by Whitney Houston.

Georgia Lines’ Letter to Self: 3 things Georgia would want to say if she could write a letter to her younger self

by the partae February 22, 2024
written by the partae

You always have a choice.

As I have grown older this is something that I continue to learn in different seasons of life. A pivotal book that I read in my 20’s was ‘The Choice’ by Edith Edger, a book written by a holocaust survivor and her story showing “how hope can flower in the most unlikely places”. As I’ve journeyed through the last few years, one thing I have come to know well is the power of choice and how regardless of the circumstance you always have a choice. You’re never stuck.

Trust your gut. You have everything you need to figure it out.

When I first began releasing music, I felt the need to have every decision affirmed especially creatively. During the process of writing and recording my debut EP I was terrified of getting it wrong which meant I doubted everything I did or wanted to do, and ended up paralysed with fear. So much so that I didn’t do anything for so long and those songs I had been working on felt so stale by the time I went to record them. The moment this all changed was when I was finally recording the EP in Houston TX, and was on a completely different timezone to my support network or to those who I would usually reach out and look to for the affirmation. Being that we were in different time zones, I only had myself and my gut to figure it out. In that moment I had a decision to make to trust my gut. To choose to believe I have everything I need to figure this out. Asking the questions – Am I proud of what I’m doing? Do I love what i’m creating? If not.. why? And what do I need to do to feel deeply proud of my work. I would say – If I could have learnt this earlier, it would have been an absolute game changer but everything has its own time and place. It’s always perfect in hindsight.

You can only control the things you can control

As much as it is in our nature as human beings to have it all figured out, to want to control outcomes, reactions, opportunities, how well a song does on release, if people like what I do, if your package gets delivered on time for a photoshoot or not (current situ), I can only control the things I can control. The less focus I give to the things out of my control, the more rested and peaceful I am, and the less rattled or anxious about things I never had any control over I am. It’s an absolute game changer. It doesn’t mean when opportunities don’t eventuate or if a release absolutely tanks that it doesn’t feel disappointing, it does just mean there is a greater sense of perspective and makes the journey much more enjoyable.

The legendary Love Family Park returns for its 25th Anniversary announcing first headliners

by the partae February 21, 2024
written by the partae
The festival has unveiled first headliners and for the first time, extends over two days

Date: 3rd & 4th August, 2024
Location: Rebstockpark, Frankfurt
Tickets: http://lovefamilypark.com/tickets
After a much talked about return last year, one of Germany’s most prestigious open-air techno festivals Love Family Park is back once again at the stunning Rebstockpark in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. This year the 25th edition extends to two days and plays out on the weekend of August 3 and 4 2024 with two stages on each day. The first phase of headliners include on Day One Adam Beyer, Charlie Sparks, Loco Dice, Patrick Mason, Sven Väth and more and on Day Two 999999999, Alignment, Indira Paganotto, Mind Against, Miss Monique, PAN-POT b2b Sama’ Abdulhadi, Reinier Zonneveld live, Trym and more.

Since 1996, the LFP has been an integral part of the electronic music scene and a cultural institution in the Rhine-Main area. This year it makes its epic 25th edition as it remains a highlight for music lovers with a program that is celebrated for its mix of quality, tradition, and diversity with a lineup that reflects all the colours of the modern spectrum. The venue for all this is the Rebstockpark Frankfurt, a lush and open green space with the city’s skyline off in the distance that is very well connected to local motorways, public transport and the international airport in Frankfurt.
Last year’s first event in four years successfully took place without noise complaints and in harmony with environmental protections. The organiser reduced the capacity to 10,000 guests on two floors for the pilot project and because it went so well with great feedback from all, this year it doubles in size with 20, 000 people welcomed to the same areas as in 2023 but across two days. This minimises environmental impact and means that getting in and out remains hassle free for festival attendees.

LFP now has a long-term home that enables it to offer more cats than ever with the new two day concept on two bespoke stages with high class sound systems and cutting edge production. Once again the soundtrack comes from the cutting edge with Drumcode boss Adam Beyer, dark techno master Charlie Sparks, the chunky rolling sounds of German titan Loco Dice, brilliance from Patrick Mason, colourful sounds from the Cocoon hero Sven Väth, blistering grooves from 999999999, Alignment, and breakout Spanish star Indira Paganotto, melodic explorations from Italian pair Mind Against and Ukranie’s prog innovator Miss Monique, plus a special coming together of PAN-POT b2b Sama’ Abdulhadi, fierce acid techno from Reinier Zonneveld live and much more to come.

Love Family Park is an incomparable all-dayer that unites thousands of party-people from across Europe so make sure you are part of this celebration of the world’s finest techno and house. Tickets include free public transportation within the RMV area and last year’s sold out so get yours now for this spectacular 25th edition at lovefamilypark.com/tickets.
