R3HAB and Deorro Collaborate for the First Time in 10 Years On Latin-Dance 180 BPM Heater – “Gózalo.” Out on Sony Music
Title: Gózalo
Label: Sony Music
Multi-platinum Dutch-Moroccan DJ and producer R3HAB joins forces with Mexican-American producer Deorro for the first time in ten years on their new release – “Gózalo.” The two artists combine their unique and dynamic sounds by fusing traditional Latin rhythms, courtesy of Deorro‘s side, with R3HAB‘s signature driving, high-energy bassline almost reminiscent of hardstyle, making for a dancefloor heater that seamlessly bridges the gap between the two genres. “Gózalo” evokes midsummer parties with high vibes and grooving long into the night, making it the perfect crowd pleaser. R3HAB and Deorro‘s last collaboration was “Flashlight,” released on Spinnin’ Records a decade ago. It made a mark as one of the most known tracks from big-room EDM‘s golden era, and still remains a fan favorite with over 130M streams and regular appearances in sets to this day.
“It’s been a decade since Deorro and I dropped “Flashlight” – a track which has had a global impact on the EDM scene and still features in all my sets. Ten years later, we’re joining forces for “Gózalo,” a record that combines Deorro‘s Latin roots with my high-energy sound. Ever since I started working on it, the hook has been stuck in my head, and now that it’s out, it can be stuck in yours too. Vamos!” – R3HAB
“Excited to be working with my brother R3HAB again on something with a little Latin flavor this time.” – Deorro
R3HAB
Multi-platinum DJ and producer Fadil El Ghoul, better known as R3HAB, has been trailblazing his way through dance music for the past fifteen years. From his breakthrough remixes for Rihanna, Drake, Taylor Swift, and Calvin Harris to anthems such as Platinum-certified “All Around The World (La La La)” and “Lullaby,” to his collaborations with the likes of Ava Max, ZAYN, Luis Fonsi, Sean Paul, and more, R3HAB has proven to be one of the most forward-thinking artists in the game. His work has collected over 11 billion streams to date, including more than 1.2B in 2023 alone. R3HAB founded his label CYB3RPVNK in 2016, which has passed 4B streams across platforms since its inception. R3HAB continues to evolve and diversify his sound by working with artists around the globe, pushing the boundaries of dance music as he collaborates across genres and languages. He is Spotify’s Most Discovered Artist, one of Spotify’s top 350 most streamed artists, ranked #14 on the prestigious DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs chart, and has earned over 80 Diamond, Platinum, and Gold certificates. R3HAB has embarked on multiple sold-out worldwide tours and was the first dance music artist to sell out 15 consecutive shows in China. On top of that, he performed at the world’s top festivals, such as EDC, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Balaton Sound, Coachella, Summer Sonic Festival, DWP Jakarta. With his combination of innate artistry and innovative attitude, R3HAB has earned his place as a household name in dance music.

Los Angeles native Erick Orrosquieta, known as Deorro (and TON!C as well), is a house/EDM producer and DJ, as well as a proud Mexican-American. After he developed a following through his Soundcloud page, he reached a wider audience in his early twenties, from 2012 through 2014, with extensive touring, as well as brash solo releases and collaborations on the Dim Mak and Mad Decent labels. Among his highlights were “Dechorro” (2013), “Freak” (2014), and “Five Hours” (2014), the last of which reached the Top 10 in France and Belgium. Additionally, he remixed tracks by the likes of Laidback Luke (“Pogo“), Steve Aoki (“Ooh“), and Gareth Emery (“Lights & Thunder“). Deorro‘s momentum continued with “Five More Hours” (featuring Chris Brown, 2015) and “Bailar” (featuring Elvis Crespo, 2016), both of which went Top Ten in multiple territories. A slew of additional singles followed into 2017 when he issued his debut collection, “Good Evening.” He continued his prolific run in 2018 with nearly a dozen single releases, including “Shakalaka” with Steve Aoki, “Dracarys” with Dirty Audio, and “Bring It Back” (feat. Max Styler) with MAKJ. In 2019 he teamed up with Quintino and MAKJ for the high-energy single “Knockout.” Since that time, Deorro has had releases with some of the top collaborators in both the EDM and Latin genres, like his single release in 2022, Savage with Tiësto, and his debut Latin album “ORRO,” which features an astounding 18 collaborators over 19 tracks.

I didn’t run into the Local Singles boys, but found out later they were right next to me in the crowd the entire time. We laughed so hard when we saw each other’s stories, and I couldn’t believe we missed each other that night. We have always been friends and supportive of each other, so we decided we had to collaborate soon to memorize that funny moment and show our love of the tribal and Afrohouse sound, and this is how ‘Hotsteppa‘ was born.” – Sam Blacky

Nuanu City, Bali, August 1, 2024: Bali’s music arts and culture festival ‘Suara’ meaning ‘voice’ in Indonesian has wrapped its third edition following a successful three-day extravaganza. The multi-day event was made all the more special by the soft opening of the incredible festival site, the creative city Nuanu.
Welcoming more than 9,000 fans across three days from more than 60 countries, the crowd was a mix of Bali locals and visitors to the Island of the Gods. The weekend’s festivities embodied the philosophy of ‘Tri Hita Karana’ as an odyssey through Balinese culture where living in harmony with nature, community and spirituality seamlessly intertwined. Permeating the essence of the festival throughout all aspects of its programming, the philosophy was reflected in its highly curated lineup which included local legends, regional stars and a number of international acts making their Bali debut as Nuanu City opened up more of its 44-hectare site than ever before.
“This past weekend was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my 27 year career curating and producing events around the globe,” said Suara Co-Founder, CEO and Creative Director Jason Swamy.
“After months of hard work by our incredible team, it was amazing to see people interact, engage and appreciate all the elements that we spent a long time planning in meticulous detail. A huge shout out to our thousands of staff for helping us pull off such an extraordinary event as well as Nuanu founder Sergey Solonin for providing us with the ultimate playground. Building on his foundation from the two previous editions, his belief in our vision to take Suara to new, international heights while continuing to spotlight the incredibly rich culture and all that is on offer from across Bali, was instrumental to making the magic happen.
“This was not for the passive-minded, rather it was designed to be participatory in every possible way and so a big shout out to all who joined us and wholeheartedly embraced our programming. We couldn’t have done this without you.”
Musical highlights included a heartwarming performance from headline act Angus & Julia Stone (AUS) who graced the Suara main stage on Sunday night with a four-piece band including a trumpet solo from Julia Stone, a packed dance floor for Saturday’s headliner HVOB (live) (AUT), and impeccable tunes from Friday’s headliner, classically trained electronic ensemble Brandt Brauer Frick (GER). A plethora of local and international talent such as Ramengvrl (ID), Batavia Collective (ID), We are Neurotic (ID), Yung Raja (SG), LP Giobbi (USA), Rodriguez Jr. (FRA), Sainte Vie (GER), YoungR (UK), Deer Jade (CH), Geju (RUS), Lastlings (AUS), Mansionair (AUS) and collectives Lifted (HK), Yeti (HK), small&TALL (HK), Spin Sum (SG), Chi Wah Wah (AUS), Disko Afrika (ID) plus more rounded out the musical lineup.
With more than 100 music artists performing across one of the festival’s more than nine stages, the packed programming also spanned visual, interactive and performance art, cultural acts, circus performances, food, beverage and market vendors, wellness sessions, dance classes, breathwork, inspiring talks, sustainability initiatives, and family-friendly activities. With something for everyone no matter age or life stage, Suara Festival offered a slice of what it could be like to live and play inside Nuanu’s walls.
“Seeing Nuanu come alive with global creativity and energy during this year’s Suara Festival was truly inspiring. The festival offered an incredible journey of music, art, and cultural exchange, and we are grateful to everyone who made this event a success. We look forward to creating even more unforgettable experiences in our Creative City in the future,” said Sergey Solonin, Founder of Nuanu, Co-Founder of Suara Festival.
For those keen to partake in next year’s festivities at an unparalleled price, the fourth edition of Suara Festival in 2025 is announced with tickets on-sale starting at US$138 via Megatix.
See below for the top experiences from the third edition of Suara. With so many incredible experiences on offer, it is not hard to see why it is fast becoming the must-attend destination festival in Southeast Asia.

The proceedings were complemented by an Okokan dance, a traditional dance originating from Tabanan, the region in which Nuanu is situated. The ceremony focused on the vision for the Creative City and how Suara is embodying the five pillars of Nuanu (education, art & culture, nature, health & wellness, living & lifestyle) across its diverse programming.

Traditional Balinese performances
From Kecak (a Balinese Hindu dance and musical drama developed in the 1930s), to Joged Bumbung (a dance intended as entertainment which has been proposed to be part of world cultural heritage by UNESCO) to Barong and Rangda dances (a dance of mythological creatures with supernatural powers showcasing the eternal battle between good and evil), traditional performances peppered throughout the festival offered international guests an opportunity to immerse themselves in Bali’s rich, cultural heritage.
Dancing in the rain with Rodriguez Jr. (LIVE) at Luna Beach Club on Day 1
Making his debut in Bali, France’s Rodriguez Jr. wowed festivalgoers with a driving live melodic set that had revellers dancing seaside surrounded by lush nature against the backdrop of Nyanyi beach and Alexander Milov’s LUNA sculpture at Bali’s newest beachclub. As he closed out the stunning day to night venue close to midnight, raindrops on the dance floor added the perfect dramatic touch to the final few minutes of his set offering some much needed refreshment after a full day dancing under the sun and stars.

Closing out the Suara main stage, German electronic trio Brandt Brauer Frick shared their ‘emotional body music’ influenced by renowned composers such as Steve Reich and Philip Glass coupled with the likes of producers Ricardo Villalobos and Plastikman.

Throughout each day of the festival, daytime programming for children by Bali’s Jungle Kids meant families could experience the Suara magic with little ones so they could explore, learn and have fun before the evening’s festivities kicked in. From face painting and storytime to dreamcatcher making, wooden toy decorating, clay masterclasses, magicians, capoeira dancers, experiments, and so much more, a nanny service also supported parents throughout the festival weekend.
Cuddles with adorable alpacas
Festivalgoers could make a new furry friend at Bali’s one and only Alpaca connection with festivalgoers being among the first to visit the animal farm. Located in a field a short stroll from the main festival grounds away from the hustle and bustle, a unique experience awaited those willing to make the short trek. Nestled in the heart of Nuanu, Pacha Alpaca is a soul sanctuary where fans could spend time getting to know the adorable animals in a serene environment, recharging before heading back to the event.
Interactive multimedia at Aurora Park
Festivalgoers at Suara got to be one of the first to explore the new innovative and audiovisual journey through Aurora Park, a one-kilometre trail offering visitors a unique experience through eight permanent art installations. Playing with light and its interpretation, fans were able to go on a personal journey of discovery through the first multimedia outdoor park in Bali that also integrates AI technology. Immersing themselves in a world of light and creativity, along the path fans discovered impressive installations with one of Suara’s hidden stages tucked away in the jungle near the river bed path with another permanent sculptural piece by Daniel Popper taking centre stage.
Embracing energy at Ash Stage

With the crowd singing along to her hits like ‘Vaselina’, together the duo showed that Southeast Asia’s hip hop scene is alive and kicking.
A packed dance floor for HVOB (live) on the Suara Main Stage on Day 2
HVOB’s live closing set at Suara on Saturday night was one of the busiest of the entire weekend. The notoriously private band had the entire dancefloor vibing from start to finish playing a mix of old and new favourites.

Gates of Agartha is a concept that draws its inspiration from the mythical underground kingdom of Agartha, where ancient secrets and wisdom are guarded. Its debut was widely acclaimed as the Best New Regional Festival last year in Croatia. The series is all about offering unique cultural experiences in unusual locations with a rich sense of history. The magnificent Istanbul is a perfect place for the next edition as a city that straddles two continents and is a living testament to a history which has been the capital of three great empires—the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman.
Nestled on Istanbul’s historic peninsula, Tersane in the Golden Horn (Halic) was forgotten for nearly six centuries but has emerged from the shadows to reclaim its place as a beacon of history. Within these ancient Ottoman naval shipyards, the empire’s formidable naval power was forged, spanning nearly 400 years of unrivalled supremacy. Now, as it opens its gates to the world, prepare to witness the resurrection of a legendary legacy, where the echoes of the empire resound through the ages.
Tersane İstanbul is a blank canvas for this three day festival that offers a great opportunity to explore. Accommodation in Halic is at Rixos Tersane İstanbul with unmatched guest experience and service excellence. Dedicated to redefining Istanbul’s lifestyle scene, the hotel is an eclectic fusion of urban hotspot and lifestyle hub with panoramic views that seamlessly combines modern luxury with a 600-year-old dockyard’s rich heritage.
Full Experience guests continue their adventure on Friday October 11th with the Dinner of the Empires for just 150 lucky people. The bespoke palace menu is inspired by both Ottoman and Roman eras and will take you on a culinary journey through the diverse regional kitchens of Turkey and ancient Rome. It will be served near the Golden Horn with stunning views of the historical peninsula that have echoed through time.

Date: 11th and 12th of October
Years ago, the Amnesia closing was a date known only to the most intimate on the island. However, over time, the voices of experience have echoed, turning this into one of the longest and wildest closures, reflecting the true spirit of Ibiza. Those who have experienced it know it’s the party that puts the final touch on all parties.
This year, the nightclub has upped its own game. Has any other Ibiza nightclub ever held a festival to celebrate its closing? Has any other dared to multiply it? Dancing not one day, but two. Has any other gathered more than 30 artists, presenting a lineup that runs from start to finish with exclusive B2B sets?
The answer to all these questions is clear: there has never been anything like this, but there will be, on October 11 and 12 at the nightclub that has made history on the island and continues to do so. The Amnesia Closing Festival arrives with the intention of surpassing its own limits and breaking all barriers. That’s why this year it adds an extra day for all those who want to feel the energy of Amnesia, multiplied.
On Friday, October 11th, the lineup landed from the UK will be presenting in the Main Room: Ben Hemsley, Hannah Laing, Les Schmitz, and Malugi. Meanwhile, on the Terrace, people will dance with Claptone, Danny Howard, Sammy Virji, Sonny Fodera, and Jan.
The real test for the bravest will be on Saturday, October 12, when something unprecedented happens on the Terrace. As the saying goes, unity is strength, and strength will abound with a B2B lineup from start to finish, featuring Adam Beyer B2B Marco Faraone, Cuartero B2B Manda Moor, East End Dubs B2B Mar-T, Londonground B2B Manu Desrets, Hot Since 82 B2B Rossi., Sidney Charles B2B Caal, and, repeating the success of the 2023 closing, the resident DJs of the iconic nightclub, Jamie Jones B2B Joseph Capriati, who will delight us with a Sunrise Extended Back to Back Set.
As part of the deployment of its new brand identity, Amnesia has executed a total blackout on its social media, reinforcing the meaning of its own name with a powerful message: memories are overrated. The Amnesia Ibiza closing festival invites clubbers from around the world to forget everything to be truly free. These will be two days to focus on the present and nothing else. DJ Snake
Over the last decade, DJ Snake has achieved the kind of rarefied and wildly transformative success that few artists ever come close to attaining. Originally from a housing project on the outskirts of Paris, the multi-platinum-selling DJ/producer has shattered industry records with smash hits such as “Taki Taki,” earned diamond certification from the RIAA for “Lean On” (with Major Lazer), delivered era-defining bangers like “Turn Down for What” (with Lil Jon), and made history as the first artist to perform atop the roof of the Arc de Triomphe. Along with repeatedly turning out tracks that top the charts around the world – including three songs that have surpassed a staggering billion streams on Spotify—the multi-award-winning phenom brings his boundary-pushing ingenuity to music that builds unexpected and undeniably powerful bridges between vastly different cultures and genres. Taking his stage name from his former moniker as a graffiti artist, he started DJ-ing in his early teens and soon dropped out of high school to work at a famed Paris record shop, then immersed himself in music production at the age of 19 to become a decade later one of the most important electronic music artists in the world.
Peso Pluma
Born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, Peso Pluma is paving the way for the next generation of Mexican artists. The young up-and-comer has been making a name for himself with his unparalleled style and authenticity. Drawing inspiration from a variety of musical genres, including Regional Mexican and Latin Urban, Peso Pluma is reinventing the genre with his sultry vocals and eclectic sounds. In June 2023 he became the first artist to dominate both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global 200 Excl. U.S. simultaneously with two different songs: “Ella Baila Sola” with Eslabon Armado and “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 55” alongside Bizarrap. Earlier this year, he released “Chanel” with Becky G, and they performed the track together at the 2023 Latin American Music Awards, where Peso Pluma was a surprise guest during her mainstage performance at weekend one of Coachella 2023. Having recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Peso Pluma is breaking the mold and showing the next generation of artists that a musician’s superpower is remaining true to themselves. Signed to Prajin Parley Inc. from Prajin Music Group and Worms Music, Peso Pluma also recently launched his own record label – Double P Records (in partnership with Prajin Music Group), under which he will release his upcoming album. He is also Spotify‘s newest RADAR artist.

Can you share the story behind the creation of “Bandit” and what initially drew you to this song?
“Bandit” was written by Amanda Couture and The Renaissance (Dan Botch and Garrett Ward) a few weeks before they sent the demo. They sent me the song, wondering what my thoughts were; I immediately fell in love. Amanda made a fantastic demo of “Bandit” that was hard to get out of my head – I knew this song was special to me. We used the demo for guidance during production. As soon as I heard it, we started planning production. During production, I sent some references from artists such as Noah Cyrus.
How did the collaboration with Amanda Couture and The Renaissance come about, and what was it like working with them on “Bandit”?
My producers are great at connecting with other artists and are open to working with many different types of artists. They are both songwriters and like to co-write with other people. On one of their co-writes with Amanda, an artist they had written with before, “Bandit” came out of it. The whole team on this song is fantastic. I was so grateful to be an artist on this song and felt super honoured to be a part of it. The Renaissance are the real deal, I can’t wait to make more music with them; every time we create together, it feels authentic and fun!
The production of “Bandit” highlights your heartfelt vocals and layered harmonies. Can you describe the recording process and how you achieved this sound?
Recording with the Renaissance is always such a good time. I love creating and working with them. A lot of the magic happens naturally in the room, while others happen by preparing. Before coming into the studio, I was listening to some artists like Noah Cyrus, who put a lot of emotions into their music, and I knew a lot would come down to vocal delivery and the use of harmonies. A lot of influence also came from Amanda’s demo; we all loved what she was offering the song and felt that there was so much beauty already there. We were intentional with where we placed the harmonies and when and where I would switch from a chest voice, mid-range and to head voice. This song is very dynamic, which is one of the many reasons I love it.
The steel guitar plays a significant role in the track. Why was it important to include this instrument, and how do you feel it enhances the song?
I love steel guitar. It brings parts of the song that some people might have missed to life. Steel guitar also adds country elements to the music, complementing the vocal melody and harmonies well.
The music video for “Bandit” was directed by Max Chadwick. Can you talk about the vision behind the video and how it complements the song’s theme?
While creating the music video for “Bandit,” we kept the idea of simplicity in mind. I wanted the main focus to be on me while filming so the viewer could see how I connected to the song. I kept envisioning myself being free in various landscapes while singing. Max did a great job captivating so many memorable moments. Before filming, we discussed this. I also sent him a bunch of references from other artists, including the colour, texture, angles, time of day, and different landscapes. I believe the song is great on its own; it needed more of a visualizer, which we accomplished while shooting the video.
You mentioned that “Bandit” is about wanting and desire expressed in a cheeky and fun style. How do you convey these emotions through your performance in both the song and the video?
I used many expressions in the video. There wasn’t much acting, as this is typically how I sing live. I love connecting with the music while singing; for me, it is getting into the song through body language, facial expression, and vocal delivery and knowing when to sing softer or pour more depth into the lyrics and melody by opening up more while singing.
With over 75K Spotify streams and placements on major editorial playlists, how do you feel about the reception “Bandit” has received so far?
Whenever I release a song, I never know how or who it is going to resonate with, and I am so happy to see how people are connecting with it; watching “Bandit” get picked up by editorial playlists is such an incredible feeling and means the world to independent artists as it helps us reach a bigger audience, it has also been surreal to hear the feedback from my friends and family. They have been supporting me for so long. Having them love my music is the best feeling in the world. When “Bandit” came out, I instantly got messages from my friends saying how much they loved the song, which was such a fantastic feeling.
What was your reaction when you first heard the demo of “Bandit,” and how did that initial impression influence your approach to recording it?
When I first heard the demo, I fell in love with how Amanda conveyed this message of want and desire. I could listen to the emotions in her voice and storytelling. I wanted to capture all the special moments in the song like she did.
Can you discuss the lyrical storytelling in “Bandit” and how it captures the essence of romance and desire?
The song is creative in portraying someone as a “Bandit” who wants to love someone so badly that they will steal them away like a bandit in some old western-type movie would. The first verse in the song does a great job of setting this theme up:
“I’d pay the bail I’d do the time
I’d light the match I’d start fire
Find me standin’ at the scene of the crime
I’d do anything to make you mine”.
Cheeky lines like this help catch the essence of romance, desire and the characteristics of a bandit!
“Bandit” follows your successful single “What if I.” How do you see these two songs connecting or differing in terms of theme and musical style?
“Bandit” is more of a mid-tempo mysterious and haunting ballad, while “What if I” is an upbeat, optimistic and energetic song. However, the overall themes are very different, with “Bandit” being more about desire and “What if I” about chasing down all the “what ifs’ in life. Both songs share similarities about wanting something or someone.
How has your journey, including overcoming the challenges of your accident and surgery, influenced your music and the way you approach new projects like “Bandit”?
Life is precious, like music. Each time I start a new project or sit down and write, I capture a special moment of me in time. The accident taught me that life is fragile, but we don’t need to be afraid. Life is short, but I learned to go after things despite fear. Even though there were moments when the accident changed how I looked and felt about myself, I found this confidence in myself that was not there before. My experience also taught me to be open up and try new things. I started to get comfortable with being uncomfortable! These feelings have helped me navigate the struggles of learning new things, such as songwriting and creating with others.
What message or feeling do you hope listeners take away from “Bandit,” and how do you want it to impact their perception of love and romance?
Love and romance are always challenging, and they take time and effort. This song is about having fun while waiting in the unknown. The theme of want and desire is something many can relate to. Why not have fun with these feelings? “Bandit” is a cheeky song about all things romance, want and desire – we all have a little bandit in us!
