Off the back of the 15-year anniversary reissue of her ARIA Award-winning 2005 album Parking Lots, Australian icon Mia Dyson is thrilled to return home to celebrate the belated milestone event with her east coast fans, albeit little further down the road.
After plenty of rescheduling, the seasoned Australian artist will take to the road this Autumn for a month-long tour across NSW, VIC, and TAS for her first live performances in well over a year. Tickets are on sale now and selling fast! For those who already snagged tickets to Mia’s previously announced March or November 2021 shows, these will be valid for the rescheduled 2022 dates.
“I’m sorry to say we had to reschedule the Parking Lots tour again. Everyone has been doing it tough during COVID, especially our beloved live music venues. I think this time, we really will get to play the Parking Lots album for you and celebrate the 15th (well…now 16th) anniversary of its release. I CAN’T WAIT to return to Australia to see you and play :)” – Mia Dyson
In her two-decade long career, Mia Dyson has been nominated for five ARIA Awards with Parking Lots taking out ‘Best Blues and Roots Album’ in 2005. She was the inaugural recipient of Double J’s Artist Of The Year at the 2014 J Awards following the release of her Australian classic LP Idyllwild, and has had four albums up for AIR Awards with The Moment earning her a nomination for ‘Song Of The Year’ at the 2013 APRA Awards. Mia Dyson’s extensive career has seen her support the likes of Stevie Nicks, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt and Joe Cocker, and most recently touring extensively with her supergroup Dyson Stringer Cloher.
Heading back into the studio in 2020 to revisit five songs from the album, Mia’s Parking Lots (Revisited) EP sheds new light on a selection of her favourite cuts from the record. From beloved single ‘Roll Me Out’ to the stunning homage of motherly love on ‘Rivers Wide’, and the simple yet captivating title track to the empowering ‘Choose’ and heartbreaking ‘I Meant Something To You Once’, the EP captures the sheer musical mastery of an artist who continues to redefine the blues and roots genre, 15 years on, with the rest of her expansive career still to come.

Leroy Macqueen from The Gooch Palms! ‘It feels like it’s been a million years but I’m hitting the road in Australia for some solo shows for the first time in a REALLY LONG TIME! It’s been a very shitty two years and a hard slog trying to kick off a new solo project in such a terrible time, especially being in Melbourne – the lockdown capital of the world! So it’s gonna be great to see some familiar faces! Hope you can make it to one of the upcoming shows! And if you’re not in Australia, I’m making big plans to take this thing international as soon as possible! So stay tuned!!!’ MELBOURNE, VIC SYDNEY, NSW BRISBANE, QLD PORT KEMBLA, NSW CHEWTON, VIC

TRP.P (pronounced “TRIP-ee”) has been breaking barriers since day one on the Hip-Hop/R&B scene. Composed of Truss (producer, singer/songwriter) and Phoenix Pagliacci (singer/songwriter), the dynamic duo met in 2015 and have been collaborating in music and life ever since. This new track showcases the mastery of their craft, coupled with a burgeoning sensuality that they are adding into their creative process. This song was a fun challenge because not only have I not been singing lead for the past few years, I also haven’t been singing such sexual lyrics so publicly,” says Truss. “I’m a private guy, but the beat just brought that side out of us.” Phoenix agrees, “we’re rarely ever serious, much less overly affectionate in public. But I recognize that to be either is a privilege. Some people can’t even be affectionate in private for fear of being outed, arrested or even killed. This song is for the lovers, the fighters, and those who fight for the right to love out loud.”
In 2017, they released their self-titled debut EP, followed with their sophomore release 2TRP.P. in 2019. Their modern twist on 80’s/90’s inspired R&B gives way to powerful lyrics, which often champion queer love, justice and their communities. Currently, TRP.P is working on their second full-length album, which is slated for June 2022.

NEW ALBUM MAYBE THERE’S NO HEAVEN OUT NOW
A brand new Short Stack album and some accompanying shows are undoubtedly a match made in heaven; and as of today, the pop punk stalwarts have announced an impending run of live shows later this month to celebrate their brand new full-length Maybe There’s No Heaven which dropped last Friday April 8.
Converging the trio’s colourful decade-long career with a renewed creative lease on life, Short Stack have truly soared to sensational heights on their fifth studio album, blending hooky bangers, sharp execution and searing authenticity into an 11 track masterpiece – and all entirely on their own terms.
Fresh off the release of their staggering new sonic opus, Short Stack are now set to bring the pop-punk frivolities to stages in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney to cap off the journey for Maybe There’s No Heaven and pay homage to their beloved fans in a live setting who also played a large part in bringing this latest endeavour to life.
Also along for the ride for three back-to-back nights, kicking off on Friday April 22 at Howler in Melbourne before heading to Brisbane and Sydney across the weekend, fellow pop-punkers Paperweight and theatrical rock wizards Wolf & Chain will be bringing all of the the glittering grit to help christen Maybe There’s No Heaven.
Forged in the fires of the global pandemic, Melbourne’s Paperweight emerged in May 2020 with their debut single Waster, quickly snapping heads and simultaneously amassing over 60k streams in the space of a year, while also scoring spins on triple j, Unearthed Radio an Triple M Hard N Heavy. Following a support slot with fellow Melbourne pop-rockers Terra and a sold-out debut headline show at Stay Gold in Melbourne last March, 2022 is theirs for the taking, with a live show as explosive as their boisterously airy anthems.
Hailing from Adelaide, theatrical rockers Wolf & Chain wield rock-opera, goth and irresistible emo-punk aesthetics, commanding a cult-like following since their debut EP An Honest Mistake erupted into the world in 2020. Scoring Rolling Stone Australia’s Music Video of the Week in 2021 for the vampiric clip Taste of Blood, Wolf & Chain also released late last year a new EP Amor Mortal continue to channel boisterous chaos with glistening glee, proving to be continuously unforgettable both on and off the stage.

Previous Support For Matilda Duncan
“When I buckled into this track I thought it was going to be a cruisey number but, it was way more of a roller coaster than I expected. Matilda really has great writing chops backed up by that heart-aching voice of hers.” [About ‘Out of Touch’] 4 / 5
(Nkechi Anele, Triple J)
“This will warm your soul from the inside out. I love its little rumble and the reflection in your words. It feels real and it’s beautiful!” [About ‘Out of Touch’] 4 / 5
(Claire Mooney, Triple J)
With her gorgeous sound that eloquently blends rich indie influences with the storytelling soul of folk and an epic pop-rock energy, North Queensland songstress Matilda Duncan is releasing her new single ‘PSYCHO’ on April 8.
Since debuting in 2018, Matilda Duncan has been honing her craft both in the studio and on the stage, with multiple head-turning singles including 2020’s ‘Out of Touch’ and an incredible string of tours alongside Australian Indie powerhouses The Rubens and Ruby Fields, plus appearing on huge festival stages like Groovin’ The Moo.
Now, returning with her first release since 2020, Matilda Duncan is showcasing her full stylistic power in ‘PSYCHO’, equipped with big, echoing electric guitar moments and breathtaking vocals. With an intake of breath that comes before something important, the song delivers intense guitar notes alongside sweet strumming before the chorus arrives in a swirl of building percussion and unapologetic vocals that soar with a graceful strength. Known for her epic, emotional bridges, Matilda doesn’t disappoint as the track reaches its pinnacle amongst a culmination of pop / rock power, piloted by a voice that belongs in the spotlight.
Written during a time of evolving emotional maturity and stylistic growth, Matilda Duncan brings an air of empowerment to ‘PSYCHO’ as she realises that some people just aren’t worth the effort, as she explains:
“‘PSYCHO’ is for everyone that’s ever put energy into a person and realised it was a waste of time. It was a bit of a turning point track stylistically and emotionally, I was certainly growing a lot around the time it was written.”
The release of Matilda Duncan’s new single comes alongside the announcement that the artist is gearing up for her highly-anticipated Queensland Tour in April, supporting Riley Pearce in Brisbane, headlining in Townsville and taking the stage at Mackay’s Lamberts Music Festival.
Matilda Duncan’s new single ‘PSYCHO’ is out on April 8, and you won’t want to miss experiencing it live on tour – details below.

With a sonic tonality like a spring-time magpie, the new Reckless Coast single “Do You Want Me?”, presents a modern euphoria that reminisces on Australian Rock nostalgia.
Released today on all platforms, “Do You Want Me” was originally born as a shout out for creatives stuck in a job they hate just to make ends meet, and was written on shift behind a bar by front man Jaeden Ogston:
“I was sick of it that night… running around collecting glasses, handling the TAB, trying to serve, all without any help in sight. I was often burnt out which affected my music, and I just wanted to focus on what I love. The thoughts going through my head on that shift pretty much wrote the song.”
“Do You Want Me?” serves up addictive melodic hooks for fans; delivered through an almost preaching styled vocal performance, atop of thundering rhythm and a gritty guitar groove. Whilst old-school inspirations are without a doubt present, Reckless Coast conveys the track in a completely contemporary form.
Stream “Do You Want Me?” here.
Hailing from along the East Coast of Australia, the now Brisbane based power trio previously known as Rude Rum renamed to Reckless Coast this year to signify a new era:
“The old name didn’t portray us properly… plus we’ve grown so much sonically and personally, so a fresh name was needed. We’re three kids who grew up on the coast, and love a good rock show… Reckless Coast sums us up perfectly”
With last year’s single “TALK” being the band’s most successful to date (alongside it’s sold-out Brisbane homecoming show), the power trio is rapidly becoming known for some of the most organic and energetic live shows in their local scene. Holding a love for groove fuelled rock adrenaline, Reckless Coast is held by no labels, and heroes a refreshing contemporary zest unique to them alone.
Catch Reckless Coast on tour:
April 27th: Mumbo Jumbo’s, Terrigal NSW
April 28th: Hamilton Station Hotel, Newcastle NSW
April 29th: MoshPit Bar, Sydney NSW
May 6th: Vinnies Dive Bar, Gold Coast QLD

The North London based Alt-Rockers have taken the opportunity of time afforded by the pandemic, and are set to release their fifth single. Having shown their versatility with the launch of an acoustic track at the end of 2021, which received high praise from several music publications and coverage on Amazing Radio, the band have hit back with arguably their heaviest track to date. Smile is a Hard Rock song that boasts an abundance of progressive riffs and rhythmic curveballs. Front-man Robert James says, “Smile is definitely the most technical track we’ve written. It was one of the first songs we wrote together as a band, but we wanted to test ourselves by creating something that was rhythmically unorthodox. Our heavier, more progressive influences really shine through with this one”.
The band’s song-writing has primarily been moulded by a desire to modernise the distinct sound of 90s Rock. Thomas Mitchener of Broadfields Studio helps bring this vision to life through the use of chorus, fuzz and other vintage instrument effects associated with iconic bands like Soundgarden, as well as contemporary artists like Nothing But Thieves. Robert says “I can’t praise Tom’s production enough. I’ve never known an engineer so able to develop an idea from raw concept to accomplished reality so efficiently. As Superbloom is made up of two core members it’s invaluable having another creative person involved who gets what we’re trying to do, and has done from the moment we walked through the door”.
Superbloom have 6 further tracks recorded and ready to release, as well as a number of demos ready for the studio. The band plan to continue building momentum over the next year with regular releases, before the launch of their debut album. They’ll also be out on the road later this year to further promote their music.
Superbloom are:
Robert James – Vocals, Guitars and Others
Sam Lidington – Drums and Percussion

Title: My Pony

R3HAB has been on fire in the first quarter of 2022, and he’s only adding to the heat with his newest single – “My Pony.” Following his stellar collaborations from March with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Armin van Buuren, as well as his stunning performance at Saudi Arabian Formula 1 Grand Prix in Jeddah, R3HAB switches gears to create a euphonious pop-house record, showcasing the Platinum artist’s signature groovy basslines, instrumental melodies, and his readiness to experiment with cheeky and feel-good vibes, as heard earlier on “Put Your Hands On My_” with Saucy Santana, released in February. With that impressive first three months into the new year, things are only expected to get bigger for R3HAB. Read on for his words on the newest release – “My Pony,” that’s sure to be a hit on the dancefloor and radio airwaves.
“I’m constantly experimenting with different styles and sounds. ‘My Pony‘ is a bit more bass-driven and laid back than my catalog so far, and I’m excited for the variety it brings. This record has been a long time coming, and I’m glad to finally share it. I’m sure ‘My Pony‘ will lift moods in the blink of an eye, and I can’t wait to play it live.” – R3HAB
Multi-Platinum DJ and producer Fadil El Ghoul, better known as R3HAB, has been trailblazing his way through dance music for the past fifteen years. From his breakthrough remixes for Rihanna, Drake, Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris, to anthems such as Platinum-certified “All Around The World (La La La)” and “Lullaby,” to his collaborations with the likes of Ava Max, ZAYN, Luis Fonsi, Sean Paul, and more, R3HAB has proven to be one of the most forward-thinking artists in the game. His work has collected over 8B streams to date, including 1.1B in 2021 alone. R3HAB founded his label CYB3RPVNK in 2016, which has passed 4B streams across platforms since its inception. R3HAB continues to evolve and diversify his sound by working with artists around the globe, pushing the boundaries of dance music as he collaborates across genres and languages. On top of that, he performed at the world’s top festivals, such as EDC, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Balaton Sound, Coachella, Summer Sonic Festival, DWP Jakarta. For artist, producer and engineer Sheldon Nunes, music and creativity has run in his blood for years. Working out on the West Coast of Australia, he has been part of the burgeoning and thriving community of local musicians and producers putting on for their city and as an artist, Sheldon has been making his mark, releasing music as the enigmatic Sheldon5D.
Today, he announces the release of his first release for 2022, a dynamic track called ‘Ride With Me’. A song that fits in the same lane as music by artists including Kevin Abstract, DUCKWRTH and Jaden, ‘Ride With Me’ is a great example of the music still to come from this exciting artist as he looks down the barrel of a busy year.
“You got that fire in your eyes I see,
Gaze at the stars on full moon nights with me,
Yea and it’s looking like Magic.”
Teaming up with filmographer Leif Logie, Sheldon5D put the emotion of ‘Ride With Me’ to visuals, also released today. Soaring shots and close roaming footage of Sheldon5D matches the energy of the song; as he describes, keeping the authenticity of ‘Ride With Me’ and also that of himself as an artist, was key.
”Filming the music video was super fun and organic; I’ve been shooting content with Leif for a few months now and I love how he brings my ideas to life. I tried to not overthink everything and tried to keep it as authentic as possible to me and the life I live.’

Having faced a multitude of heartbreak & hardship in the time between releases, Brisbane pop-punk stalwarts Set The Record are back with a record that soars above all setbacks, seeing the quintet reach creative heights far greater than the sum of their parts. Produced by Troy Brady (The Amity Affliction, The Brave, Stateside), debut album ‘Time To Breathe’ is a hook-laden, & polished release that proves their place as a band that continues to strive for absolute success. Set The Record refuse to allow a single song omission from their recipe for catchy choruses, boppin’ rhythms and melodies that singer Angus Hiern delivers with pleasing, satisfying saccharine.
With ‘Time To Breathe’ out today, the band are also highlighting focus track ‘Give Me A Second’ to continue shedding light on the lyrical journey traversed throughout the record & shared across previous singles ‘Answer My Call’ & ‘Flashback’. The track builds with driven guitars and peaks Bec McCall’s desperate scream to be let back into the life of a partner he had fallen out with. ‘Give Me A Second’ is an anthemic pop-rock tune for anyone who has desired a second chance; a moment to right previous wrongs & misgivings, working to become a better person for those they love.
“‘Time To Breathe’ signifies a watershed moment for us, stepping out from the shadow of our youth to embrace a deeper, more honest side of ourselves. This release has been very considered… and it is very personal. Each of us have songs on there, or parts of songs that are real life. Whether that be heartbreak, falling in love… or looking at where you’ve come from or where you might be in your lives – it’s a release for all of us. We’ve put all of that into our music, so from that standpoint, it has more maturity and meaning to us as a band.” Bec McCall, Set The Record
“We played around a lot with our sound on this one. The track is about being shut out by an ex-partner, and the desperation to be close again, and it was important to us that the urgency and emotion builds throughout the track. We even got Bec on the mic screaming in the background on the bridge of this one. It’s got a lot of light and shade, and I think it’s a good representation of our more mature sound.” Ian Collins, Set The Record
Working with acclaimed producer Troy Brady in Buderim, QLD, the band were able to feel at home immediately, recording in their own state and close to all family & friends. This support allowed them to focus intently on the task at hand; creating a debut record that would encapsulate the Set The Record sound they’ve been intently shaping over the past 10 years. Bursting onto the scene with punchy performances and catchy, pop-punk infused tracks, the group found traction with their second EP ‘Above The World’ which trended at #1 on Twitter and led to radio play across the country. Future opportunities to share stages across Australia with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Maine, Relient K, & As It Is followed.
“We recorded it at the end of 2019, start of 2020 working with Troy Brady (ex Amity Affliction). Working with him enabled us to honor our pop-punk roots, but expand our sound into a more modern space, and I think we landed somewhere really awesome. This is the most excited I’ve been about one of our releases.” Bec McCall, Set The Record
With a new record in their back pocket & a fanbase envirograted by the continued growth of the band, Set The Record are eager & poised to strike Australia with raucous, sincere and catchy new music & performances, breathing a fresh onslaught of noise back into the live music scene.
PRAISE FOR SET THE RECORD
“Really enjoying this slice of soaring emo. Hits hard and flies high. Thanks folks!”
Steph Hughes, triple j Unearthed
“Youthful, syrupy-sweet vocals demonstrate the boys’ impressive vocal range (an octave higher, of course) in well-orchestrated harmonies, cheerfully offering teeny-bopper songs, which the band puts forth in an undeniably catchy, hooky manner.”
The Music
“This five-track EP is cleverly crafted to have an early 2000s band tinge to it… a testament to the band’s ability to create catchy and thought-triggering pop punk”
