(New York, NY – April 6, 2018) Swedish recording artist Tove Styrke has released a brand new single titled “On The Low.” Listen to the song everywhere now here.

The single is a fresh taste of Styrke’s forthcoming new album, Sway, slated for a May 4 release via Sony Music Sweden/RCA Records.

Of “On The Low,” Styrke describes, “If ‘Sway’ is a body of work, ‘On The Low’ is like the heart. It’s the smallest song in terms of how it sounds but in another way it’s the biggest. It’s just a straight up love song, but what else do you really need.”

Describing the forthcoming album, Styrke details, “I’m very excited to announce my albumSway. It’s been the best kind of fun, wake-up-and-wonder-why-you-even-do-this kind of scary, incredibly interesting (it may sound like I’m exaggerating here but this music has been my life for the past 1.5 years) and I’m really proud of how it’s turned out. A lot of these are feelings I thought I’d take with me to the grave but hey, I put them on an album instead! Fun! Hopefully people can relate.”

After a well-deserved ‘Pop Artist of the Year’ win at Sweden’s prestigious national radio P3 Guld Awards this January, Tove Styrke joined Lorde on her spring U.S. arena tour after releasing a stunning cover of Lorde’s Melodrama single “Liability.” Lorde invited Styrke on stage for a special duet of Robyn’s “Hang With Me” on the last night in St. Paul, MN — see here.

After a run of her first-ever Australian shows, Styrke will join Katy Perry as direct support on a European run set to kick off May 23 in Cologne. See the full tour date listing below. Tickets are on sale now HERE.

New Sway single “Changed My Mind” released earlier this spring attracting praise from outlets such as TIME who observe Styrke cleverly marking out her own pop territory,” while The Guardian called it “another deceptively casual banger.” Previous single “Mistakes” has seen widespread acclaim sparking Idolator to call it, “minimal electro-pop with maximum impact”and Entertainment Weekly further proclaiming, “Styrke is making some of the most interesting and daring pop songs of 2017.” The track has received 11 million Spotify streams and was released alongside a stunning video of which Styrke explained to The FADER, “The song is about embracing your wrongs, letting go of yourself and not be perfect. The bride to me is a nice image of ‘perfection’ and it was fun to put a twist on that…it’s more like she’s running back to herself rather than running away.” Shawn Mendes is also “obsessed” with “Mistakes” naming it one of his favorite tracks of 2017 in an interview with NME.

Prior to “Mistakes,” Styrke’s spring 2017 single “Say My Name” saw critical praise sparkingRolling Stone to grant it the #11 spot on their ‘Top Songs of 2017’ list as well as nods from the likes of Sam Smith, Clean Bandit, and Lena Dunham. The track has over 15 million Spotify streams and was Tove’s first single since her 2015 U.S. debut Kiddo. “Say My Name” has garnered significant buzz, reaching #11 on Spotify’s US Viral 50 chart and #12 on the Global Viral 50 chart. Additionally, the track hit #1 on Hype Machine and has received stellar press coverage with outlets such as Pigeons and Planes coining it “a summer hit” and Noisey calling it “the best song ever made by a person.”

platinum selling and Grammy nominated artist in her native Sweden, Tove Styrke has been on a fast rise since the release of Kiddo, bolstered by striking lead single, “Borderline,” as well as strong follow-ups, “Ego” and “Number One.” The album paved the way for a full North American headline tourSXSW appearances, a performance on Late Night with Seth Meyers and widespread critical acclaim. As Pigeons and Planes exclaimed, “Tove carries herself in a way that makes it impossible not to smile throughout the show. She’s fun, a little weird (in a good way—think MØ, Grimes, Björk), and totally captivating.” Noisey added, “The Swedish singer is coming back louder than ever,” and NYLON called her “one of the country’s biggest up-and-coming singer-songwriters.” Tove Styrke first landed a record deal with Sony Sweden in her late teens, which led to the 2010 release of her debut album, Tove Styrke. Since the release of Kiddo, Styrke has stayed busy in the studio as well as touring with Years & Years and a UK television performance on Top of the Pops with Alan Walker.
