Kay Proudlove delivers quirky video for ‘Giftcard’

by the partae December 20, 2018
written by the partae

With a remarkably agile, soul-bearing voice and a wry sense of humour, witty local indie-folk singer-songwriter Kay Proudlove has always written songs driven by narrative and powered by her love for the art of observation, ‘Giftcard’, is no different. Covering everything from the financial and social stresses of Santa’s impending visit, to the joy of witnessing pure human connection and of course, those thoughtful and not-so-thoughtful gifts – “surprise, it’s a gift card”, this track a song about the mixed feelings of the festive season that we can all relate to.

Enlisting director and editor Tim Winterflood, Kay and Tim worked together on concocting their quirky festive masterpiece with the hope of bringing Christmas cheer to those young and old – “I have Kay to thank for the video’s concept, her and I worked quite closely on it leading up to the shoot. My main focus was to keep it lighthearted and cheeky during the overlaid shots. In a way, we were lucky because the awkwardness kind of came naturally because we were mostly filming in public places with plenty of bystanders milling around.”  – Tim Winterflood

“I told Tim that I wanted the music video for Giftcard to be as awkward as Christmas sometimes is, and he really came up with the goods. I actually got a lot of compliments on the jacket while we were shooting. I like how we ended up creating this journey from all of the tacky, over the top parts of Christmas to the Tree farm, which was really natural and beautiful.” – Kay Proudlove

Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there?

i’m currently in Berlin. there is music from all over the world here and lots of physical spaces to occupy and share art. there are many different artists here busking, working with artificial intelligence, throwing 20 hour long house concerts… it’s a beautiful place.

You’ve just completed your European tour as support for JMSN, how was this experience?

very special, sacred… and affirming. i feel fed.

What did you find most challenging and rewarding about the tour?

the most challenging aspect of tour was learning how to depend on myself and trust in my art. sometimes i felt like i didn’t belong, but now i want to move with more conviction.

Your EP ‘direct line to My Creator’ is out now, where and when did you record?

direct line to My Creator was recorded over the past two years in New York City.

What influenced the sound and songwriting for this EP?
the project started off as demos i wrote and produced. my friend Ezra O.S.T. and i began to edit the ideas more, over a long period of time.

i was dealing with a lot of pain from when i was younger and i think that innocent sorrow is the spirit holding the tracks together. the lyrics refer to both specific lived experiences and things i would learn in time.

Who did you release with?

it was independently released 🙂

How do you usually go about writing music?

the idea comes, teases me and i go after it. i may be practicing or setting time aside to be creative. or doing the complete opposite… on my bike, birdwatching or eating falafel. it’s a surprise.

How did you first start playing music?

i’ve sung since i was a child and studied choral music for a long time. sometime in middle school, i started writing poetry and songs.

Please tell us about the meaning behind your single ‘blue hands’ :

blue hands is about the paranoia police violence has given me.

You’ve just been named Soundcloud’s ‘Artist to Watch’ how did this come about and how has it affected your musical career?

Soundcloud was my first outlet for releasing music, it’s also where i’ve met most of my collaborators. i love them for that. i’m happy to be an artist to watch 🙂

You have also been selected in the first fifty for the UK’s biggest tastemaker festival The Great Escape, what does this mean to you?

it means… another opportunity to share and grow!

What do you have planned for 2019?

birdwatching, therapy, smoothies, good bud, long hikes, small gigs and studio time until festival season.

Besides certain religious references I hear that you write everything in lowercase, why is this the case?

hmmm… not sure. it kind of is a religious thing. just how i’d like to express myself.

What do you like to do away from music?

birdwatch and go dancing!

Favourite food and place to hangout?
i love to eat doubles when i’m in nyc… they’re a Trinidadian street food, chickpea chana between two pieces of dough, with peppers and sweet tamarind sauce … go to Jen’s Roti Shop on Flatbush Ave.
i love to hang out at Baketown 🙂

The Gooch Palms

by the partae December 19, 2018
written by the partae

What is your name and role within The Gooch Palms?

Hey I’m Kat, I play drums and do some singing

You’re originally from Newcastle and now based in LA, what’s the music scene like in LA at the moment?

We moved back from LA around a year ago, it was awesome but we felt we were neglecting Australia a bit so decided to move back. We haven’t been back to the US this year but before we left the LA scene was awesome, so many great bands, there was always a local show to go to. But we’ll be heading back early next year for a big US tour around SXSW.

Who are your favourite acts from Newcastle?

Raave Tapes of course! Also loving some of the young bands right now like Milky Threads, Fritz and Surf Trash. It’s a great scene in Newcastle, all the bands are great!

How and why did you end up moving to LA?

We just decided one day to do it. We always enjoyed touring the US so we decided to sell everything we owned except our instruments and move to America. We didn’t know where we’d live, we planned on just heading over for a tour and settling where ever we found a place that we liked. But about a month before we left our friend posted about a room in his house for rent in Los Angeles and we asked if we could take it and he said yes and that was how we ended up there. It worked out great though, LA has such a welcoming scene and we had so many musician friends living there so it was a pretty smooth and super fun transition. We’ll definitely spend more time in Los Angeles in the future, might end up living back there again! Who knows!

How did the Gooch Palms form and how did you come up with the band name?

We started the band in preschool when we were about one and a half years old. The only word Leroy could say was “gooch” and the only word I could say was “palms” so that’s how we decided on the band name. All our first songs were also called Gooch Palms and we just sang about ourselves!

You’ve just finished an Australian tour with RAAVE TAPES, what did you most enjoy and also find most challenging with this tour?

It’s great touring with a support band, especially when you’re friends. It’s nice to see the same faces when you get to the venue each day. And they are so fun live. The only challenging thing was not playing more shows. That tour was only a few shows and we love playing so it would have been sweet to play a bunch more shows with them.

Your latest single Summertime dropped a few weeks ago, where and when did you record it?

We’ve recorded a new album and have released three tracks so far, Busy Bleeding, Marfa Lights and most recently Summertime. We recorded some at our house in LA last year, some at The Grove on the Central Coast with Dylan Adams and then finished it all up at Dylan’s studio in Coogee a few months ago. Now we’re just releasing singles and waiting for the perfect time to drop the album!

What influenced the sound and songwriting for this track?

Summertime was written a few days before we went into the studio at The Grove and didn’t have lyrics at the time. I went into a small office and wrote some lyrics after Leroy and I had a chat about the vibe of the song, we decided we wanted to call it Summertime and give it a summery vibe. So I just plopped down some lyrics and ran them by Leroy and we were like “yeah that will do”. Leroy was going to sing it but was struggling with the phrasing so I quickly grabbed a mic and went back to the small office and quietly sang it straight into the computer as a guide track. When I took it back Leroy and Dylan really liked the way it sounded and they thought I should sing it. We all agreed it sounded completely different to the original way we intended and almost sounded a bit French so I changed some of the lyrics to French (thanks Google Translate!!!) and learnt how to say them, I had to write it all out frenetically, and laid down the vocal. We used a really old accordion organ (don’t know if that’s what it’s called) to bring the end of the song home. Leroy played it and it was starting to heat up so he only had one opportunity to get it right. By the end of the first take the organ was smoking! But we got the take and it really added to the french vibe of the song. It was only supposed to be an album track but it turned out great so we released it as a single.

How do you usually go about writing music and lyrics and then turn them into songs?

Leroy generally writes the guitar part and then we work on a melody and then get a vibe for the song and talk about what subject matter or lyric content might go with the song and then jot down some ideas. The ideas usually change a few times but we settle on some solid lyrics and then build the music section with guitars and drums and then record it as a demo. Some demos don’t ever see the light of day but the ones that do end up being recorded properly and being released!

Who are you listening to at the moment?

We’re currently listening to a band from Sweden called Viagra Boys on repeat!

What do you like to do outside of music?

Leroy surfs, I like to go to the beach too. We like seeing other bands play and hanging out with friends. Love a cold beer down the pub and do karaoke when ever possible.

You’ll be playing at the Best Night Ever on the 29th of December on the Gold Coast along with RAAVE TAPES, DZ Deathrays, Dune Rats and a heap of other rad bands, any idea of what can we expect on the night from this killer line up?

It will be one epic show. All the bands are awesome and we’re also all friends so it will be one giant party on and off stage! We may just get a few of our pals from the other bands up for a song as well!!! But I expect it to be a very fun night!

What do you have planned for the remainder of 2018 going into 2019?

Apart from playing Best Night Ever the rest of the year is going to be pretty chill for us. We usually play NYE but have taken this year off so just planning on partying our way into 2019! We are heading back to the US early in the new year and will be hitting up Europe and of course a big Aussie tour. And dropping the new album some time in the near future!

Favourite food and place to hangout?

Pizza in bed!!!

Balance Music release The Golden Key, the latest project from artist Danny Bonnici in collaboration with Melbourne duo Thankyou City.

by the partae December 19, 2018
written by the partae

Danny Bonnici has been a key name in the Melbourne music scene for the past 14 years. Honing in on his ability to produce rich and emotive deep house with perfect execution, he has appeared on international record labels Global Underground, YK4, Vicious Vinyl and more.

His productions both collaborative and independent have earned him industry attention, gaining a Dance Music Award nomination and earning an Aria nomination with his 2003 track ‘Ride’ written collaboratively with Luke Chable. Working with modern electronic artists Kimbra and Bertie Blackman, his original work has even featured in sets by artists such as Sasha, John Digweed, and Herman Cattaneo.

Brothers Scott and Brent comprise the Melbourne based electronic duo that is Thankyou City. With over a decade of experience, the pair has been turning heads both with their mixing and their original productions, and have released works on Open Records and Sol Selectas record labels. This most recent release on Balance Records comes at the tail end of a year spent playing some of the most well-respected boutique techno festivals Australia has to offer, Chi Wah Wah Town, Babylon, and My Aeon.

Whether seeing them play a live set or listening to their latest compositions, Thankyou City has become synonymous with rich and well executed deep house music. This latest release from the pair sure to expand their career to new heights.

This debut collaboration from Danny Bonnici & Thankyou City is a beautifully constructed product of diverse musical backgrounds, and ultimately a symbol of the expansive creative talent within the city of Melbourne.

The first track of the EP ‘Golden Key’ fuses tribal-esque organic percussion, with a ground shaking sub and soft expanding pads. The track has enough experimental elements to it to make it feel like a breath of fresh air, whilst still maintaining the key elements found in all good tech-house music.

‘Awakenings’ harbours these same key elements but feels much more alive, a stabbing arpeggiated synth weaving listeners through a wide percussive soundscape, a string ensemble, and widely dispersed sound effects.

Featuring a remix from Danny Bonnici’s longtime friend Luke Chable, the final track of the EP completely reshapes the opening track ‘Golden Key’, still featuring those mesmerising softer elements, but refocusing the track on the driving beat and the cleanliness of the percussive breaks.

This body of work overall features so many rich emotive elements, their careful selection of synthesizer upon complex chord progressions matches up perfectly with the heavier side of the tracks within the bass and the drums. It’s a succinct summary of how capable these artists are at creating feel-good dance music of continually high quality, this is arguably their best work yet.

Tracklist

1. Danny Bonnici & Thankyou City – Golden Key (Original Mix)
2. Danny Bonnici & Thankyou City – Awakenings (Original Mix)
3. Danny Bonnici & Thankyou City – Golden Key (Luke Chable Remix)

Theus Mago and Local Suicide deliver a dark but infectious EP with ‘Komm Ins Loch’

by the partae December 19, 2018
written by the partae

After a hugely prolific year for the Local Suicide duo, which has brought us collaborations with names such as Low Manuel and Mijo as well as DJ sets across Europe and Asia, they are joining the Mexican label Duro with a three-track EP as a joint effort with the label’s owner Theus Mago. This Mexican producer comes off the back of a similarly hectic year, most recently releasing the ‘Inertials’ single and the acclaimed ‘Ella’ EP, featuring remixes from Arthur Johnson and Il Est Vilaine. This collaborative EP is a masterful blend of styles, merging Local Suicide’s characteristic catchy techno-disco sound with the darker notes typical of Theus Mago. His signature style is that of freeform, synth-driven, moody techno that brings together intricately interwoven influences from across the spectrum of electronic music, providing a perfect foil to Local Suicide’s infectious rhythms.

The original mix of the EP’s title track brings us straight into a snappy percussive beat offset by punchy synths, tempering the flowing grooves with deeper, more grounded vibes. Over the top we hear the invitation from Local Suicide’s Brax Moody to “komm mit mir ins Loch”, or “come into the hole with me”, an enigmatic message that calls for us to fall deeper into the world of sound that they are creating. This is followed up by a package of two remixes from Berlin-based producer and Aleph Music label owner Aeraand versatile Mexican techno producer Colossio. The former provides a rework that extracts the energy from the soaring highs of the track and redirects it into a far grittier and more driven number, whereas on the flipside Colossio delivers an interpretation that is jacked up to the max, creating a powerful and danceable tune.

This release is brought to us by Duro, the rapidly growing Mexican label responsible for some of the most exciting releases in Latin America over the last few years from artists such as Mijo, Bufi and Ambiance. Having already received plays from Solomun in his Tomorrowland set and Âme in his b2b set with Dixon at the Innervisions Off Sonar party in Barcelona, the anticipation for this release is high, and when it lands it will not disappoint. Local Suicide and Theus Mago’s ‘Komm Ins Loch’ EP will be released on the 18th of January 2019, and snippets are up now on Duro‘s SoundCloud channel for immediate news sharing.

Tracklist:
01. Komm Ins Loch
02. Komm Ins Loch (Aera Remix)

by the partae December 19, 2018
written by the partae

Adored electronic producer Golden Features (Tom Stell) has today released two brand new remixes of his latest single Woodcut (ft. Rromarin). The two new collaborations, can be heard here, and come courtesy of American producer Machinedrum and rising Australian future pop duo Kult Kyss which Rromarin makes up one half of. The original track is lifted from Golden Features’ critically acclaimed debut record SECT which was released in July this year – LISTEN HERE.

The two latest remixes follow the recently released Golden Features remix of Odesza’s Falls, and also the joint colab which saw Golden Features team up with Odesza to remix Memories That You Call feat. Monsoonsiren. Both of which can be heard, HERE and HERE.

2018 has been a standout year for Stell. His debut record SECT, a career defining body of work which cited influences ranging from post-punk to early Ed Banger-inspired sounds and aesthetic was named triple j feature album, received a rapturous reception from fans and critics and cemented his status as one of the country’s leading electronic producers.  Woodcut (feat Rromarin) which has reached one million streams since release follows on from SECT’s lead singles Falling Out and Worship which have amassed over 4.5 million and 3.9 million global streams respectively.

Shortly after the release his debut record, Golden Features brought to life the dark and dystopian world he had created on SECT to sold out shows at landmark venues including The Hordern Pavilion and The Forum in Melbourne on the SECT Australian tour. Having recently performed at Spilt Milk Festival, Golden Features will celebrate the New Year with performances at Lorne, Marion Bay, Byron Bay and Fremantle as part of this year’s Falls Festival – click here for ticket info.

JPEGMAFIA PERFORMS “THUG TEARS” TAKEN FROM ACCLAIMED 2018 ALBUM ‘VETERAN’ LIVE ON A COLORS SHOW

by the partae December 19, 2018
written by the partae

“JPEGMAFIA rules — he produces harder beats than anyone and raps with flesh-eating venom for the evil, the hypocritical, and the competition.” – FADER

“ODB at his most formless would be an impossible model for most artists in any century. For JPEG, it’s just the starting point.” – Pitchfork

“JPEGMAFIA makes murky lo-fi rap into something exciting” – Stereogum

Baltimore rapper and producer JPEGMAFIA serves up a volatile yet utterly captivating performance of his track “Thug Tears” for A Colors Show. Nest HQ wrote of the performance: “Backed in magenta, Peggy unleashes his popular fury to the lone mic in the studio. His aggressive and practically hysterical show is laced with his one-and-only talent of literally making you hear his pain”.

2018 has been a breakout year for JPEGMAFIA. Since dropping his latest album Veteran in January – which has garnered nearly 10 million combined streams to date – and releasing Backstreet Boys “cover”‘Millennium Freestyle’ in July and “Puff Daddy” in November – JPEG has become one of the most well-reviewed critical breakouts this year, with praise from the likes of Pitchfork, The FADER, The LA Timesand Interview Magazine, among other tastemakers.

Born in New York to Jamaican parents, JPEG spent the bulk of his childhood in East Flatbush, Brooklyn (deeply rooted in West Indian culture and black pride) and most of his mid-teens in deep south rural Alabama, bouncing from place to place due to rough circumstances at home.

After graduating high school, JPEG joined the military, deploying to different parts of the world, meeting fellow artists and adding new elements to his producing and rapping repertoire. Now based in Los Angeles, JPEGMAFIA’s sound is dark but not without a humour that makes things even more uncomfortable. His role as villain or satirist, hood protector or nihilist is intentionally hard to put one’s finger on.

VBX Amsterdam confirm first shows of 2019 – Ricardo Villalobos, RPR Soundsystem, Spokenn, Ingi Visions, Benny Rodrigues & more

by the partae December 19, 2018
written by the partae
Christmas comes early with the news that leading underground promoters VBX will be hosting two more of their famous parties in the first part of 2019. Taking place at their favourite venues in Amsterdam, Shelter with the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, RPR Soundsystem, Ferro, Reiss, Ingi Visions and many more all providing the intriguing soundtracks.

VBX are known for throwing unique, carefully conceived parties in Amsterdam’s most atmospheric and important venues. As well as making a big mark at ADE each year with their much loved offerings and afterparties, they also host plenty of cosy, intimate parties for smaller crowds who like to get down.

First up in the New Year is Ricardo Villalobos and Ferro on 25th of January at Shelter Amsterdam, the immersive basement space that has been the site of many great VBX parties over the years. Almost a year ago the “shaman of techno” – after nearly 5 years off absence from the Amsterdam club circuit – brought his A-game to Shelter Amsterdam and mesmerized everybody in attendance. Teasing records for minutes on end before unleashing them in all their glory, cutting between techno, house, breaks and throwing perfectly timed curveballs with a flair of effortlessness. He ended up playing several hours longer than originally planned because he enjoyed himself so much. What’s more, Ricardo is now a regular VBX guest who always brings his unpredictable and excellent a-game, and assured resident Ferro knows exactly how to work his crowd.

Next up is the cult favourite minimal masters that are RPR Soundsystem, who bring their intricate and intoxicating rhythms to Room 1 of Warehouse Elementenstraat on the 15th of February. This venue is another regular haunt for VBX and a historic Amsterdam space with industrial halls and large immersive rooms that come alive with the VBX production. Joining RPR will be VBX resident duo Spokenn (Ferro and Reiss) to ensure to get the VBX vibes right on track. As well as this there be a delightful Room 2 takeover from fellow Dutch promoters and label Slapfunk, who will bring their tasteful grooves courtesy of head honcho’s Ingi Visions (Samuel Deep & Julian Alexander), Benny Rodrigues and Gene On Earth.

In true VBX fashion there will of course be the infamous after parties in place for both shows…the details of those will be announced closer to the time, but as always you know the Dutch promoters will not disappoint.

A definitive and exciting start to the year from VBX, who continue to be one of Europe’s leading underground promoters.

Algorythm – Marrakech Released 14th December 2018 on Planet X Recordings

by the partae December 19, 2018
written by the partae

Berlin-based producer, DJ and Neptune Records boss, Algorythm, weaves his melodic magic upon his captivating Marrakech EP.

The EP opens with Marrakech a rhythmic and driving track with industrial hints, culminating in an euphoric breakdown. This bleeds gently into Lima with its spacey sensibilities, chugging bassline and uplifting pads. On Tuscan, Algorythm creates a glitchy, dark and rolling techno number that delves into a deeper hypnotic section. Broken Glass closes the EP with ambient melody laced with dreamy synths and underpinned by a dubby bassline.

Algorythm is ending 2018 the same way he began it- with a mesmerising release that delicately balances light and dark. He released his Monodular EP in January on Curle Recordings, home to Agents Of Time, Efdemin and Tobias. The production wizard also heads up his own Neptune Records imprint, home to much of his output. As well as this, Algorythm, together with the Berlin collective that he is part of, has created a brand new label- Planet X Recordings. Named after the mysterious Planet X, the collective have new releases planned for next year with each one featuring a collaboration with different photographers that will culminate in an exhibition next summer.

Label: Planet X Recordings | Released: 14th December 2018 | Distribution: DigDis! | Cat no: X-101 1. Marrakech 2. Lima 3. Tuscan 4. Broken Glass

LA’s soulful R&B/dream-pop RKCB share live video of ‘Know Love’

by the partae December 19, 2018
written by the partae

“Modern, soulful R&B-pop hinged on elastic vocals that can stretch into a perfectly pitched falsetto, pulsating synths,  and a production value so clean you could eat your morning eggs off it.” – Noisey

“Riley Knapp and Casey Barth have a knack for creating electronic music that pulses with R&B sensibilities.” – NYLON

“…a world-spanning, reality-bending epic that befits the dreamy, R&B-tinged track…” – Billboard

LA’s soulful R&B/dream pop duo RKCB are fresh off the release of two acclaimed singles, ‘Alone With You Pt. 2’ (buy/stream) and ‘Know Love’ (buy/stream), and now the duo have announced a massive co-headlining tour with Shoffy, their biggest tour to date. Head here for more info and tickets for each show. To coincide with the tour, RKCB are sharing a live video of them performing their recent hit “Know Love” ( YouTube), which will give you a great idea of what to expect from their live show!

“The See For Yourself Tour is going to be a really special one for us. We’re bringing on a lot of new elements and creating more moments to really immerse the audience in our world. We want to transform the stage into the dreamscapes we envisioned when we made this EP. It’s also so exciting to be sharing the stage and vision with our good friend Shoffy. We can’t wait to bring this show to so many new cities.” – RKCB

RKCB are an LA-based production duo comprised of Riley Knapp and Casey Barth, whose alchemic sound fuses neo-soul, modern electronic R&B and dreamy synth-pop with avant-garde lyrics, resulting in an unparalleled sound. Accomplished producers and songwriters in their own right, having worked with Tinashe Julia Michaels, Kacy Hill & more (alongside eclipsing 100 million Spotify on their own tracks), RKCB are poised to have a break-out year all their own in 2019.

After spending the majority of 2018 in seclusion in the studio, RKCB returned to the spotlight in late September with ‘Alone With You Pt. 2’ followed closely by ‘Know Love’ in early October. The latter draws upon the moody aesthetic set forth on ‘Alone With You Pt. 2’ and adds in the duo’s modern production techniques to include warm synth lines and heart-pounding percussion that wash over the listener, while RKCB’s impassioned vocals elevate the track to exorbitant levels. Both songs are out now through AllPoints, ahead of the release of the duo’s new EP which will be coming out in the midst of the tour… but more on that soon!

Don’t hesitate to reach out if we can make something happen around any of the dates, or if you’d like review tickets – we’d be more than happy to set you up.

People Luminous

by the partae December 19, 2018
written by the partae

What is your name and role within People Luminous?

Hey, I’m Nicky Swamp and I handle the creative direction in PL

You’re apart of a growing underground Hip Hop culture on the Gold Coast, please tell us about this music scene and all the goings on:

Apart from us and the ever growing dance community the GC has no hip hop scene. It was killed by wannabe gangsters, ice junkies, Eminem idolising bogans and cultural appropriation to a level where small town white kids were, maybe still are freely saying the N word to each other with zero understanding of anything let alone culture. We’re a new movement of love and positivity. Gold Coast is paradise, act like it. People Luminous is the community.

How did People Luminous form?

It never formed, it’s always been. We just put the PL label on it in 2017.

What have you been working on lately?

We’re seriously sitting on so much content. We’re waiting for the right time to release and we’re still trying to crack the playlist game. Seems like unless you know the people putting putting them together you don’t stand a chance and radio will only play you if you’re already popular. We might just go against all advice and put everything out in December/January just because we’re told not to.

You’re gaining a reputation for throwing wild  warehouse parties, please tell us how these came about and what the whole experience is like:

It’s real life. We don’t advertise. If you know you know. You gotta know us or someone we move with to be there. If we can fill a warehouse without a mention on social media then we’re happy. You wanna invite?

What do you have planned for the remainder of 2018 going into 2019?

Maybe back to back tacks ever tuesday arvo at 2.15 or maybe nothing until
February, we’ll see… Next warehouse party is December 21st tho.

Who are you listening to at the moment?

Right now I hear Chronixx from my lounge room. Hot Wax will get played at some point, I.E., Manu Crook$ but apart from that we aint trying to hear anything outside of the circle. It messes with your energy.

Your single and music video ‘Garms’ is out now, what influenced the sound and songwriting for this track?

Mainly me spending too much money or clothes and shoes. the mindset has changed since we made this earlier this year. I actually got a book on minimalism the other day. It’s hard to be content when you’re crowded with unnecessary stuff.

Where and when did you record?

it’s all in house at the PL compound. Matt Gray on production and LGHTYR at the controls. We’ve been recording togther since the end of 2017, it never ends.

How did the music video come about?

Our guy ACE Cubes is always on sight with the camera. We just get it done and move on.

What do you like to do away from music?

Pray and give thanks for all we have and the blessed life we live.

Favourite food and place to hangout?

My kitchen. Ask anyone in PL, I’m the head chef around hear.
