VIRAK
SUGAR (JUNIOR JACK REWORK)
ADESSO MUSIC
Italy’s premiere House Music export Junior Jack’s fifth release on his Adesso Music imprint, see’s his own rework of exciting new talent and French virtuoso Virakirak. The production master, who has created some of the best House records of the early 2000s, delivers a discerning, percussive and deep almost Iberian sound, outlining his commitment to showcasing new artists from around the world.
As a prolific career-focused producer, Junior Jack upholds his varied output, continuing to release tracks that both diversify his sound and reaffirm his talent. His final production for 2020 exemplifies not only his love of the underground, but his persisting ear for complex polyrhythmic grooves that progressively build their own sense of energy.
“Sugar” is built on bold drums, driving undertones and a deeply moving atmosphere that alongside the vocal, peeks with pleasure. Junior Jack creates a soaring sense of mutual sonic togetherness in the track, that’s not always achieved with such antidote when delicate vocal lines meet raw-percussive dance floor drums.
Virak is no stranger to the DJ booth and since starting his career in 2006 has frequented many of the prestigious clubs in France, such as : Les Caves (Courchevel), Le Milk (Montpellier) as well as open format sets a some of the worlds most tropezian bars and beach clubs. Launched alongside his peer Pat BDS, previous Adesso Music label output includes the 2019 debut ‘Flash’ and 2020’s ‘Tecky Dream’ and most recently ‘Klimax’.
The Junior Jack rework of Virak – “Sugar” is out now on Adesso Music

Babe Rainbow return with their first national tour since the release of their sold out 7″ ‘Zeitgeist’. After three stellar albums and five world tours, they took a creative pause at the end of 2019, hunkering down in LA hills haven Topanga Canyon with west coast producer Kyle Mullarky. The band arrived back in Australia with a bunch of new inspirations from those sessions, developing their psych pop sound with a poised and matured depth.
With ‘Zeitgeist’ and ‘The Wind’ just released into the world, and the good times of the Australian summer returning, Babe Rainbow are heading back out on the road for a run through the big cities in February. Join the rainbow!

The 2020 year has been both unprecedented and challenging in many ways, with artists and music fans feeling the absence of making memories in-person most of all. R3HAB decided to close out the year with his new single “Ones You Miss” to commemorate the strangest year most of us can remember, sending a positive message as we experience the holiday season in uncertain times. Delivering bouncy piano melodies, a breezy bassline, and a velvety topline, “Ones You Miss” is an emotive yet energizing and dancefloor-friendly ode to all of the people that make our life worth living. Despite the global pandemic, R3HAB had no shortage of meaningful releases, including his singles “One More Dance” with Alida, “Am I The Only One” with Astrid S and HRVY, “Family Values” with Nina Nesbitt, “Good Example” with Andy Grammer, to name only a few. Check out R3HAB‘s inspiration behind his final track of 2020 below:
“At the end of a year, we look back and celebrate milestones, but the memories that mean the most to me are always the special moments with my family, friends, and fans. I want this song to let the people I love know that I can’t wait to be with them again.” – R3HAB
Dutch/Moroccan DJ and producer Fadil El Ghoul, better known as R3HAB, has been trailblazing his way through dance music for the better part of the last decade. From his breakthrough hit remix of Afrojack, Pitbull and Ne-Yo‘s “Give Me Everything” to his dance anthems, such as “All Around The World (La La La)” and “Lullaby,” which have collectively amassed over 600M streams, to his collaborations with the likes of ZAYN, Andy Grammer, Sofia Carson, Timmy Trumpet and more, R3HAB has proven to be one of the most talented and forward-thinking artists in the game. He partnered with Spotify and GATTÜSO to create the first-ever official “mint” single release. In 2016 he founded his label CYB3RPVNK, which passed one billion streams on its catalog within the first two years since its inception. R3HAB himself continues to evolve and diversify his sound by working with a variety of artists around the globe, experimenting with everything from hip-hop to pop through his collaborations. With his combination of innate artistry and innovative attitude, R3HAB is continuing his journey. Keep an eye out for what’s next in 2021!

Startup duo Yardhaus makes their end-of-year debut with the new single “Blame,” a dance-pop crossover track that will hit home for anyone who has experienced the temporal nature of modern dating culture. Yardhaus creates a vibe for easy listening by weaving deep basslines with groovy melodies, which are complemented by the track’s soulful vocals. With lyrics like “we can see the ending right from the beginning,” “Blame” is a relatable lament for situations when you know a relationship will be short-lived but continue it anyway. Whether you need an emotional catharsis from a recent breakup or just a track to chill out to, press play on “Blame” and let this talented new duo take you on a sonic trip down memory lane.
“‘Blame‘ is a hybrid between dance, pop, and electronic. The song is about knowing how a relationship will end, even from the start. It speaks to the toxicity and short-sighted nature of transactional relationships.” – Yardhaus
Michael Jack and Max Shaevitz are the Pennsylvania and New York-based duo that make up Yardhaus, a promising new name in the dance-pop crossover circuit. Their dynamic fusion of genres gives them appeal to a broad audience, and they have cultivated a growing fan base even early in their career by opening for the likes of Marshmello, SNBRN, Zedd, ASAP Ferg, and more. Their prior tracks include “Boomerang,” “Talk Me Down,” and their remix of Galantis‘s “Mama Look At Me Now.” After spending time refining their sound, Yardhaus is back and ready to take the world by storm. Keep an eye out for more new music from this talented duo coming soon!

“‘STARS’ takes the rule book and throws it out the window and with an introduction this good, there’s no doubt what will follow will be insane. 8/10.”
Hysteria
“Mammoth sound and a relentless message.”
Claire Mooney, triple j Unearthed
“Enigmatic and hyper-active, Up Late refuses to sit in one place long enough to be confined. There’s metalcore, straight rock, EDM, pop and hip hop elements all woven atop one another, and with incredible harmony no less.”
Blunt Magazine
“Up Late is filling the gap within the Australian music industry where no other artist seems to be crossing these genres.”
MILKY
Fresh from the announce of his new label home, Up Late’s new EP ‘STARS’ is out today via UNFD.
Up Late – AKA the moniker for Wollongong singer-songwriter, producer and visual artist Max Pasalic – marked the first solo project to join the UNFD roster after his signing in September. The ‘STARS’ EP marks a complete collection of his previous singles from 2020, as well as a reimagined version of his celebrated triple j DIY Supergroup submission ‘Like This’. On today’s release, Pasalic declares: “That distortion and chaos, mixed with the pop semblance – that dichotomy – that genre-mashing, that’s the EP. That’s Up Late.”
After debuting with his comp entry in May, Up Late scored an honourable mention among 900+ other entrants, a nomination as one of the “10 most exciting discoveries of 2020” by triple j and nods from local music media including Pilerats, Blunt Magazine, Music Feeds, MILKY, Depth + more.
Backing it up with inimitable singles ‘FRIENDS’, ‘u left me on read’ and ‘Alone’, Pasalic continued to flex on his flair for unusual genre blends. Many may remember the 24 year-old as the lead singer of heavy act After Touch, who released various outputs on UNFD in 2017/18, while he also has credits producing for various local and international rap and hip hop artists including the likes of BONES.
Up Late’s ‘STARS’ EP is out now.

Generation was originally formed in the Carne brothers’ late-teens in the midst of period of self-discovery and experimentation, gathering word of mouth from their must-see live shows, yet stubbornly holding back recorded material until they were satisfied that they were meeting their own, exacting standards. Pursued by industries as interested in their style as their sounds, the brothers sway between fashion and music, gigs and runways, deadbeat bars and photo studios.

One of the best things about the internet is that you can easily discover what things are like in other parts of the world, as is the case here.
Tiahi, who has had a long lasting connection with both Australia and New Zealand, is giving us a glimpse into summer in Europe or to be more precise, in the Mediterranean – the hub in Europe for all sun seekers to gather, relax, connect and make memories during the summer season.
‘Summer Love’ is more electronic than anything we’ve heard from Tiahi so far, but still grooving to that typical offbeat rhythm. It’s an astonishing mix between upbeat electronic energy and super chill vibes and the lyrics take you straight back to where you were last summer – or want to be this summer…
The clip is just what you’d expect: beaches, sunshine, pool parties and drone shots. No need for further explications, go see for yourself, keep your eyes peeled for more news from Tiahi and get ready for summer!
