A year, a week and a day from their last live performance at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas, critically acclaimed alternative rock band Jimmy Eat World are excited to announce Phoenix Sessions, a global stream performance series in partnership with Danny Wimmer Presents.
To kick off 2021, the band will come together for one-of-a-kind performances of three “chapters” in their storied career. Beginning January 16th in Australia with a performance of their 10th studio album SURVIVING (Chapter X), which has only been seen live by the lucky fans who made it to the shows last October, followed by FUTURES (Chapter V) on January 30th and CLARITY (Chapter III) on February 13th.  Recorded at the Icehouse in Phoenix, AZ, the virtual events will feature the band performing each album in its entirety for a full concert experience.  Each show will start at 9am AEDT and will be available on demand for 72 hours post stream at JimmyEatWorldLive.com.
“We are always looking for ways to challenge ourselves, to do things as music fans that we think would be cool for OUR fans. We came up with the idea of presenting a series of concert films centred around a few specific albums (for now) and performing them on a different level. It isn’t the way we normally play a show and it’s definitely something new for how we approach a performance, but we haven’t been able to share the experience with our fans in over a year… so here we go!” – Jim Adkins

Global Stream Performance Dates for Australia
9am AEDT January 16 – Chapter X – Surviving
9am AEDT January 30 – Chapter V – Futures
9am AEDT February 13 – Chapter III – Clarity

Tickets for these events are on sale NOW and can be purchased as a single show or in a three-pack bundle.  Early bird pricing begins at $US14.99 for a single performance (through the Sunday prior to each show) and $US39.99 for the bundle of all three through January 10th.  Other bundles, merchandise and VIP meet and greets will be available at a variety of price levels.  For more information on tickets and bundles please visit: JimmyEatWorldLive.com.

What is your name and role within Stuck Out? Josh - Vocalist Where are you currently based? Born and bred in Melbourne, Aus. How did Stuck out form? We're all mates from high school who hung out on the weekend, jamming in a garage/ basement. Once we finished school we decided to try and take the whole band thing a little more seriously and now here we are. What's been happening recently and how has your Covid experience been so far? I've been one of the extremely blessed people who has kept working throughout the various lockdowns. Working isn't something  people are normally thrilled about but it kept me busy and now with everything opening back up again, the band is in full flight and very keen on releasing the new EP. Your new single 'Inverse' is out now off your forthcoming EP 'Lie Through Your Teeth' how did Inverse come about and what does the single mean to you? Inverse was written about 2 years ago then kind of trashed cause it wasn't good enough, then about a year ago we opened up some old files and came across it and basically re-wrote the song into what you hear today. It was certainly a long process from start to finish but I definitely think it's a good representation of the thought and effort we put into our songwriting these days. Your new EP will be out on Dec 18, what influenced the sound and songwriting? Honestly, we just want to write good rock songs with good hooks to match. Each song sounds (relatively) different to each other and I think it's a great representation of the scope of our sound. We didn't specifically draw on a particular band or project when it came to LTYT, we just wanted to take what Stuck Out was and make it better. How did you go about writing the tracks? Each track was vastly different. Tracks like Inverse and Mindless were in the works for two years, then we wrote Hollow about a month before we went into the studio. Ultimately it tends to be an individual who will start a song then everyone will come together to rip it apart and re-write the whole thing to be the best it can be. Where and when did you record/produce/master and who did you work with? The EP was recorded in Feb/March, we actually finished vocals a week before Melbourne went into the first lockdown. We worked with Jack Newlyn (Paradise Club) from start to finish on this record which was really nice. He felt like a member of the band by the end and his attention to detail was amazing, I can't recommend him highly enough. How did you approach the recording process? We really wanted to create a record that would translate to a live setting. We pride ourselves on our live shows so we wanted something that would match that energy and aggression in a recorded form. What programs/instruments did you use? 99% of what you hear on the record is pure guitar, drums and vocals (obviously with effects added over the top). We had a lot of fun messing around with delay and harmonic pedals to try and warp what we already had and we relied heavily on the JHS Double Barrel for the guitar tones. What did you find most challenging and rewarding through out the process? The start of recording is always difficult because there's alway so many directions you could go with tones, production etc. but once you get into the groove with it, it starts to record itself. The most rewarding part is definitely hearing the finished product. Every song on the record came out better than I imagined and that's a big testament to Jack's work on the record. Who are you listening to at the moment? BMTH released that ripper record so that's been getting a lot of spins.Loathe, Alpha Wolf and Nothing But Thieves have probably been the most consistent appearances this year, all of them released phenomenal albums. What do you like to do away from music? I'm very chill with my time. I just want to catch up with mates, socialise and have a drink. That's probably been enhanced even more after the year we've had. What's planned for the remainder of 2020 going into 2021? Our EP Lie Through Your Teeth is out this Friday and our EP Release Show is Saturday night so that should keep us relatively busy. We'll enjoy the New Year break then get right back into things at the start of next year! Favourite food and place to hangout? Our local is Hello Sam's burger joint. Honestly, anywhere you can get a burger and a beer is perfect for us. http://stuckout.com.au/ https://www.facebook.com/stuckoutband https://twitter.com/stuckoutband https://www.instagram.com/stuckoutband

What is your name and role within Stuck Out?

Josh – Vocalist

Where are you currently based?

Born and bred in Melbourne, Aus.

How did Stuck out form?

We’re all mates from high school who hung out on the weekend, jamming in a garage/ basement. Once we finished school we decided to try and take the whole band thing a little more seriously and now here we are.

BRUNSWICK MUSIC FESTIVAL 2021 – DATES ANNOUNCED!

by the partae December 16, 2020
written by the partae

BRUNSWICK MUSIC FESTIVAL  2021 DATES ANNOUNCED

5-14 MARCH 2021 – SEE YOU THERE!

After being paused mid-dance in 2020, Brunswick Music Festival is pleased to hit play on live music again in 2021.

In a shorter 10-day format from March 5-14 (taking in the Labour Day long weekend) BMF 2021 will focus on creating opportunities for people to gather and connect IRL with a stacked program of live music experiences.

With beloved musical festivals like Golden Plains and Port Fairy Folk Festival on unavoidable temporary hiatus, BMF will be doing all it can to bridge the gap and contribute to helping the local community find its feet.

The line-up will drop Tuesday February 2 but in the meantime, the organisers have revealed that an exciting new outdoor venue at a secret location in Brunswick will be the centrepiece of the program.

In addition to this breezy new location, the program will prioritise celebrating Brunswick’s amazing live music venues, all of which suffered greatly during Melbourne’s periods of prolonged lockdown and which we all missed so badly.

Since the needle skipped on 2020’s event the world as we know it has turned upside down. Now more than ever, music and opportunities to come together feel essential and the principles BMF is built on – neighbourhood and community, inclusivity, diversity and sustainability along with creating a sense of place and safe spaces – are less like ideals and more like non-negotiables.

BMF 2021 is set to comprise a collective exhale, a healthy dose of togetherness, a huge cup of joy and some really, really, really exciting live music experiences. Watch this space.

Set to play at BASSINTHEGRASS – and in the Northern Territory for the first time – is Australian indie rock band The Jungle Giants.

Lead guitarist Cesira Aitken said the group was excited to come to Darwin to play BASSINTHEGRASS.

“It’s been such a long time between shows and this will be our first time in the Northern Territory,” she said.

Australian electropop duo Boo Seeka – made up of Ben Gumbleton and Michael May – said they were keen to get back to the Top End for BASSINTHEGRASS.

“It’s easily one of our favourite festivals,” Michael said.

“Darwin is such an awesome place and we’re both really looking forward to playing for fans at Mindil Beach next year in May.”

“With such a great selection of acts we expect music fans from around Australia to venture north, where they can soak up the sun, sand and good vibes at what has become an unmissable event for Territorians,” he said.

“BASSINTHEGRASS is the perfect excuse to start planning your Territory adventure.”

Limited general admission tickets are available for $105 until 1 February (unless sold out prior), when final release tickets will go on sale for $120. This event usually sells out.

A limited number of VIP tickets are also on offer for $220 + booking fee, giving attendees aged 18 and over a premium festival experience with access to a VIP area with private bars and bathrooms, a finger food package, four beverage vouchers and a souvenir stubbie cooler and ticket.

About BASSINTHEGRASS

BASSINTHEGRASS brings the nation’s top musical talent to Darwin, cementing its place as the biggest and best music festival in the Northern Territory.

Now in its 18th year, the licensed all-ages event is supported by the Northern Territory Government.

Prior to its relocation in 2019 to Mindil Beach, BASSINTHEGRASS was held at the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens. The move to Mindil Beach allowed more fans to attend, making the festival bigger and better than ever.

Formed in Canada, by two music producers (David Rancourt-vocals, Antoine Rochette-synths/bass), the band released their first EP titled “One Lands” in 2017. While it was a completely independent release, it was able to garner some local buzz for the band as well as a sold out release show at the PHI Centre in Montreal that August. This year they signed to UK based label Pond Life (created by the founder of Talk Talk) and with the current world situation found Rancourt directly addressing his grief as a temporary location from which one is held within and longing to break free from. “I was struggling to get out of the stages of grief and depression,” he states. “I envisioned Melancholia as this physical place that’s sucking you in. Melodically, we were writing it as a ‘60s pop song. I like the contrast between the poppiness of the melody and the mood I was in."

 ‘A MAGIC WORLD’
IS AVAILABLE TO STREAM / PURCHASE HERE

KAS:ST – ‘A MAGIC WORLD’
AFTERLIFE RECORDINGS
OUT NOW

Parisian live act, production duo and DJ outfit KAS:ST today release their anticipated second album, ‘A MAGIC WORLD’ via Afterlife Recordings. Originally announced last month with the first single and accompanying music video for ‘VTOPIA’, ‘A MAGIC WORLD’ is now available to stream and purchase.

Like a vast proportion of like-minded artists from varying fields, close friends and intrinsically synced creatives Carol and Manuel, better known as KAS:ST, have taken advantage of global confinement to push the limits of their musical output. Behind closed doors and simmered over the course of 6 months, it was here that the journey for their new studio album began to take form. With a natural desire to explore, develop and broaden the musical silhouettes which KAS:ST have become championed for, the inaugural taster of ‘A MAGIC WORLD’ arrived last month in a highly visual. Swiftly amassing over 400K views, ‘VTOPIA’ is the self-directed, cinematic video and KAS:ST’s strikingly violent metaphorical commentary on the current age. Filmed between Paris and Barcelona, ‘VTOPIA’ is centred around a dark reality which intertwines with modern society. A continuation from the 2019 video ‘HELL ON EARTH’ (3.7M plays), ‘VTOPIA’ follows the narrative of two main protagonists who only have their dreams to escape and received early media support from Mixmag, DJ Mag, Faze and more:

WATCH KAS:ST – ‘VTOPIA’ HERE

An exploration of ambient electronic sounds, techno, rap, classical music and pop, KAS:ST welcome for the first time a host of multi-genre vocalists across the album’s 15 tracks including Hi Levelz, Brume, Hansom Eli and Be No Rain. A vision which moves towards a sound reminiscent of a darker musical tone of the likes of Four Tet, Bicep, James Blake and Floating Points, KAS:ST are no strangers to collaborating with seminal names from within the underground electronic scene including Tale Of Us, Kerri Chandler and many more. Challenging themselves to innovate and elevate from the realms of techno which they believe not to be evolving, ‘A MAGIC WORLD’ is in KAS:ST’s sense, a tribute to differences and diversity across both life and music.

“Our new album is a much broader, artistic exploration for us and one which we feel demonstrates our many different musical influences. ‘A MAGIC WORLD’ is our vehicle to showcase a blend of electronic, rap, pop and classical influences, all whilst remaining true to the sounds of techno” – KAS:ST

Whether it be productions via their own label Flyance Records or remarkably performed live and DJ sets, KAS:ST have consistently crafted an atypical and avant-garde blend of electronic music. With an impressive and famed discography which was first marked by 2016’s double EP ‘Dysphoria I Euphoria’, since then, each track released is a journey fusing together dark and melancholic emotions without ever losing touch of the clubbing aspect of techno. Following releases across renowned labels including Afterlife Recordings, Concrete Music and Materia, it was 2019 which saw the introduction of KAS:ST’s debut LP, ‘Road To Nowhere’. The album captured and synthesized the duo’s vast creative range, touching upon industrial techno, drum and bass, trap and symphonic tracks – A milestone in the ever-evolving story of one of electronic music’s most intriguing acts, ‘Road To Nowhere’ was extremely well received – streamed over 14 million times in the opening months.

The first full EP on Tale Of Us’ Afterlife Recordings followed in December 2019, which continued to showcase KAS:ST’s undeniable momentum in becoming a new musical discovery outlet for both industry heads and fans alike. ‘Hold Me To The Light’, one of the flagship tracks of the EP, once again emphasized the duo’s will to re-write techno formula by collaborating with the London based singer, Be No Rain. Tale Of Us themselves remixed the track and in turn, became one of the anthems of the Afterlife Recordings label during 2019.
As profile, industry respect and fanbase continued to build, it was perhaps an unexpected yet expectational collaboration with house music pioneer Kerri Chandler, which made the Parisian act one of the new decade’s unquestionably unignorable forces in electronic music.

Continuing their cross over from the underground, KAS:ST have a string of new releases scheduled for 2021, including recently releasing an official remix of Moby’s ‘Too Much Change’. No strangers to gracing the stages of the world’s most sought-after clubs and festivals including Berghain – Panaroma, KAS:ST are currently in the process of developing a new live show – Set to marry state of the art audio and video technology with the more traditionally focused implementation of live vocalists and instruments.

KURTIS MANTRONIX – ‘GOOD WOMAN’
(FEAT. PHEBE EDWARDS)
LABEL: KING OF THE BEATS
OUT NOW

Kurtis Mantronix the Jamaica-born, New York-raised Hip Hop and Electronic Music pioneer brings us the second release on his newly formed own label King Of The Beats. Dropping ‘Good Woman’ a 4 track E.P. delivering a fresh dose of authentic Trap and Disco House flavours.

Kurtis was responsible for some of the sickest beats in popular music during the late 80s as part of electro-funk duo Mantronix. Having dropped arguably his biggest hit, the genre-smashing ‘Got to Have Your Love’(1989), setting the standard and getting him a UK top 5.

He now releases ‘Good Woman’, an E.P that pays respect and gives homage to ‘all the women of this world’.  Kurtis keeps true to his house and Hip Hop roots and brings in contemporary influences from both genres to the mix. Featuring the raw soulful power of London based vocalist Phebe Edwards.

Containing an authentic Trap Mix, low slung, stripped-down, beautifully produced, and featuring Phoebe’s vocal which does the heavy lifting.  In addition to a Salsoul Mix, House music at its very best and ripe for the dancefloor. Created as a tribute to the influential Salsoul label, a label that pioneered Disco Soul and House through the decades.

Kurtis continues to be a key figure in music in addition to greatly influencing the early development of hip hop and electro-funk. Seen by many as an artist that laid the foundations for such explosive subgenres as Miami Bass and Trap. It was the development of the latter during the late 00’s EDM movement that took its cue from Kurtis, where he blurred the lines between Electronic Dance and Hip Hop. Unconsciously spurring a movement that captured the imaginations of the world’s youth and was set to become one of the USA’s most prevalent sounds.

Erik Buschmann Drops Stunning Debut EP '1v1'
Music News

ERIK BUSCHMANN RETURNS TO REFLEKTOR RECORDS WITH BREATHTAKING 1V1 EP

by the partae December 15, 2020
written by the partae

Out Now: https://ffm.to/erikbuschmann-1v1

Following the critically acclaimed release of his stunning inaugural single ‘All Related’ back in August, Amsterdam based ambient-electronic artist and multi instrumentalist Erik Buschmann now looks to see off 2020 in emphatic fashion, as he announces the imminent release of his formidable EP debut, ‘1v1’.

Out now via esteemed Dutch imprint Reflektor Records, Erik’s musicianship and boundless creativity shines across the entirety of the long player, as he combines vivid orchestral arrangements with modern electronica and state-of-the-art production techniques to deliver a deeply reflective and emotive EP to close out the year.

Setting the tone with the juxtaposed euphoric melancholy of the opening track ‘Absence’, Erik takes the listener on a hypnotic journey across his refined sonic palate, adding a uniquely modern twist to his classical upbringing each step of the way. Taking things down a level with ‘I Nv U’, the Dutch talent floats between arpeggiated synthesisers, stark piano stabs and deep sub-bass, offering a uniquely complex work, mitigated by ambient samples and a gentle underlying timbre.

Cultivating a theme of self-expression and deep introspection across the release, ‘Yoko’ sees Erik explore his most leftfield narrative for the penultimate track of the four-part player, before developing the counter-posed, polyphony of luscious strings and neo-classical instrumentation on ‘Silence’ to close out a truly remarkable debut EP on one of the most exciting young labels in electronic music.

Speaking about the upcoming EP, Erik commented:

“1v1 displays a texture-based musical experience with influences ranging from Jon Hopkins and Floating Points to the more organic sounds of Nils Frahm and Bonobo. The tracks were conceived around a year ago when I was experimenting with classical influences and instruments. Over time, this developed into an electronic-ambient sound made primarily with synthesizers and drum machines combined with violin and guitars. The title ‘1v1’ stands for the flow in the creative process, as well as the internal conflicts and inner struggles that can occur when creating new music”.

Almost a year in the pipeline, 1v1 has found its shape in a time where there was a lot of inner struggle during the process of writing the EP – a time replete with self-awareness and, at times, a degree of negativity experienced by Erik. Translating these feelings into an environment for the listener, Erik Buschmann now makes this debut a sonic landscape that demonstrates a way to find inner peace during tough times.

Erik Buschmann – 1v1 is out now via Reflektor Records.

SOSURE MUSIC
RIOLEVAL – ‘THE BEGINNING’ EP
RELEASE DATE: 11TH DECEMBER

From residencies in Cambridge (UK) to Perth (Australia), DJ and producer Rioleval has been delicately honing his skills in a club setting for many years. Learning his craft and detailing the nuances whilst educating himself on how to control a crowd, across a multitude of genres and styles. Armed with that knowledge, he now takes his first steps into music production. Fusing together a range of influences from funk, soul and jazz with a classic house sensibility, he proudly presents his aptly named debut EP, ‘The Beginning’ which is available now through SoSure Music.

Over a number of years, Cambridge based Rioleval has worked his way through the underground electronic DJ scene; touting a diverse style that encompasses a wide range of genres and influences. From Disco edits and Deep House, through Garage and Minimal Edge to Liquid Funk & Hip-Hop, his sets are packed with electronic surprises with reference to the old and new. This unique and varied style has taken him across the world playing festivals such as Meadows In The Mountains (Bulgaria), the now defunct Secret Garden Party (UK), We Out Here Festival (UK) as well as promoting a series of parties in Perth (Australia)

Initially inspired by the 90’s club scene, Rioleval naturally explored the evolution and history of dance music, with the classic house sound clearly represented on his debut production for SoSure Music. Since those early days, Rioleval has been able to immerse himself in the growing genres and scenes that have since developed, taking influence and inspiration from a wide range of artists and musicians.

Influences and experiences are often what shapes an artist’s output and Rioleval is no different, ‘The Beginning’ as an EP is a product of his time spent spinning in the booths of clubs across the world and his melting pot of diverse musical influences. ‘Concept Phunk’ and title track ‘The Beginning’ are both steeped in influences but keep a key focus on the dancefloor; two great records packed with funk and soul elements, woven together around driving house basslines.

Circus Recordings boss Yousef teams up with Rowetta of Manchester’s Happy Mondays, to release ‘When We Were Free’, of which all proceeds are donated to two charities chosen by the artists. Inspired by the hard work of Manchester United & England footballer, Marcus Rashford, the pair have joined together to direct all proceeds from the single towards family & child-based projects, the Sefton Community Pantry and the Ronald McDonald House Manchester.

Creating a coalition of renowned Manchester & Liverpool based artists, the pair have focused on directing their passion of music into an area they strongly believe in. ‘When We Were Free’ brings the lockdown experienced by the global community into focus, reflecting the struggle that is felt and the fight that artists such as Yousef are fighting for their industry and communities to survive.

Whilst maintaining a music label, events company and his own independent career, Yousef has alongside a partnership with the NTIA, looked to support friends and peers alike as the Night-time Entertainment industry in the UK has all but ground to a halt. Leading him speaking directly to HRH The Duke Of Cambridge, Prince William; highlighting the issues faced by his peers and contemporaries in Liverpool and across the country. Rowetta now joins forces with Yousef to show a unified support, with the single focusing and defining their efforts.

The Sefton Community Pantry

Located in Merseyside the Sefton Community Pantry is based in Safe Regeneration, Bootle and supplies food and hygiene hampers 24/7 to vulnerable families across the Sefton area. During the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, Food Banks and community projects such as this have seen a sharp rise in those needing desperate help and assistance. Placed in the heart of struggling communities, initiatives such as the Sefton Community Pantry deliver an invaluable service directly into the hands of the people that need it most.

Velvet Code / So Fierce Music

by the partae December 15, 2020
written by the partae

Where are you currently based?

Toronto, Canada!

How did you first start playing music?

My dad put me on my first musical instrument, the Mellotron when I was 3 years old. He could tell I had a love for music and insisted that they invest in getting me my first instrument and piano lessons. I’m not sure what my life would have been like if my parents decided on a different path. Being Canadian who also has a love for hockey,  I might have been thrown into hockey and would be toothless today LOL.

What’s been happening recently and how has your Covid experience been so far?

It’s been tough. A number of my close colleagues in the dance community have passed away and my mother has been battling pancreatic cancer while in isolation. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel though, and I’m hoping to come out on the other side. Doing my weekly mixshow “Rise To The Rhythm” definitely lifts me up and helps me get through this difficult time.

Please tell us about your latest release:

‘Break The Silence’ featuring FORD is an electro house track mixed with hard-style, which showcases the devastation that COVID has created during lockdown. Mental health issues have increased substantially. People are out of work with nothing to do. I wanted to show people that they are not alone, and that I’ve had my moments in the dark as well.

You’ve recently launched SO FIERCE Music, how did the idea for the label come about?

I decided I wanted to create a platform for LGBTQ+ singers and drag artists who have been marginalized in mainstream music, and I wanted to offer them a way to create and grow during this Covid time. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for a while, but it’s finally come to a reality.

What is the concept for the label?

We are a different type of label that actually helps promote the artist’s releases. The goal is to help artists step forward and release new content regularly while generating income to make a living in the music industry. Most artists aim extremely high without thinking of the steps in between. We are thinking about those steps.

How do you decide which artists to work with?

I analyze an artist’s daily regiment, intelligence, skill, and ability to create a following. This is a lot of hard work, and I reward artists who are willing to go the extra mile to reach their dreams.

Please tell us about the merch side of things:

Merch is an excellent revenue stream for an artist, and we create designs for artists on our label. The goal is to use music to promote the merch and bring fans to our platform. From there, we will be introducing new ways for artists to interact with fans. New developments are coming in early 2021.

So far what have you found most challenging and rewarding with starting and running SO FIERCE Music?

It is rewarding to see how many artists feel marginalized in today’s world. Even in North America, major and most indie labels do very little to help an artist further their career. They are only concerned about the immediate gratification of the single that is being released, and then they move on to the next one. We take a different approach. We are investing in an artist’s future, with So Fierce, and with themselves.

What areas do you focus on with each artist? ie recording, producing, marketing etc:

We are always happy to accept demos from artists who have completed masters, but we love to get involved in the production of a hit single as well. We provide full production and songwriting, including mixing and mastering, followed by distribution, publicity, radio and DJ promo, as well as influencer marketing of the single through our in-house partners.

Who are you listening to at the moment?

Kylie Minogue’s new album is mint! I’m also listening to all things house and nu-disco. I feel there’s an energy shift, with the election in the US, and with new vaccines on the horizon. 2021 is hopeful and full of positivity, and that’s for music, that’s all I want to hear right now!

What do you like to do away from music?

I’m a huge hockey fan, so I am looking forward to the start of the next NHL season. I work out regularly. Other than that, music defines me.

What’s planned for the remainder of 2020 going into 2021?

I’m spending the next 4 weeks working on new projects with artists signed to So Fierce, a few new remixes including a Kylie remix, and some new original material of my own.

Favourite food and place to hangout?

New York Pizza. Does Ray’s Pizza in New York deliver to Toronto? Haha.

Favourite place to hang out is my studio. I’m in there all day all night, with my puppy Jack McFarland who lies at my feet while I make music!

Robin Schulz remixes Ofenbach’s massive hit ‘Head Shoulders Knees & Toes’

LISTEN HERE
Just when you thought Ofenbach’s feel-good smash ‘Head Shoulders Knees & Toes’ couldn’t get any bigger, along comes a superlative remix from the mighty Robin Schulz. The German DJ/producer has multiple hits under his name, such as his latest release “All We Got” featuring KIDDO.

Schulz transforms the dark-edged house of the original version into something triumphant and joyous, giving the vocal a whole new lease of life. He colours the intro with an orchestral string section, and gives a nod to the original with his bassline. The strings return to lift the chorus higher, injecting a little disco energy into the proceedings. Big piano chords add feeling to the breakdown, and sizzling hi-hats give a sense of urgency. It’s one to get those fists pumping, and just the sort of high-energy goodness the world can do with right now.

The original just proved a huge hit across the world with over 170 million streams, and Top 10 positions in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands. It peaked at #11 in the European Airplay charts, #2 in the French Airplay chart, #27 in the Global Shazam Chart, and even #6 in the Shazam Chart in France. Featuring on many big Spotify in-house playlists like ‘Today’s Top Hits’ and ‘Pop Rising’, it peaked at #111 on the Global Spotify Chart, and achieved Gold and Platinum sales & streams certification in France, Austria and Poland.

Meanwhile, Ofenbach also delivered a remix for Schulz’s massive ‘All We Got’, which has already surpassed 1 million plays on Spotify. When these hitmakers collide, you know the results are going to be truly explosive.
