London!
I started playing music mainly because I was gagging for a creative outlet! I spent a lot of time waiting to be given permission to use my voice. I find that energy can often manifest into something quite negative if it goes untapped. So it was a way of helping my mental health. Plus, singing always terrified me and I kinda relish doing something that frightens me!
I’ve been writing and listening and experimenting. Also doing a lot of online gigs but now I’m back to doing it IRL! (Socially distanced of course)
It’s a song about how brave decisions (which are terrifying and so hard to make) can lead to something great.
I wrote it in about half an hour one very warm, sunny evening. I was accompanied by a vodka elderflower and my very fat and messy notebook. Usually when I hit on something I like I write very quickly before it leaves my brain!
Luckily I have a very patient team behind me. I like a super chill atmosphere. Usually I’m sat on the floor with a marmite sandwich waiting to be told what to do!
Currently hooked on Call Of Duty, reading and evening bike rides. I also find cooking so relaxing and fun. I made my first pie the other day. I was more proud of that than any song release.
Lots of Edith Piaf, Beatles, Matt Maeson and my lovely friend Grace Grundy.
Lots more writing and growing. I’m excited to see where it takes me.
Too many to choose just one!
Fiin Teams Up With Brigado Crew and Jinadu for Driving, Dark Progressive Single “Still In The Storm”
Title: Still In The Storm
Label: Ultra Records
Release date: August 07, 2020
Miami artist Fiin returns to Ultra Records with “Still In The Storm,” his next single on the label in collaboration with Argentinian duo Brigado Crew and British singer Jinadu. Fiin‘s underground influenced style manifests in deep, driving basslines formed from a classic “four on the floor” rhythm. “Still In The Storm” is the kind of track that is right at home in dark basement clubs or intimate techno festival stages. Haunting vocals from Jinadu and shaker-infused melodies bring an otherworldly element to “Still In The Storm,” making this dark progressive gem with depth a sophisticated production. Fiin previously released on Ultra Records multiple times, including his debut single on the label “Calling Out” also with Jinadu, while Brigado Crew has released on Stil vor Talent, Diynamic, Katermukke, and more.
Fiin has been taking the Miami electronic music scene by storm as one of its youngest and most promising up-and-comers. His weekly “Relic” party at 1-800-Lucky every Sunday had become a staple in the community and served as a closing ceremony to the city’s vibrant music scene. He cut his teeth as the youngest resident of Heart Nightclub. He played alongside some world-class DJs, including the opportunities to go b2b with Paco Osuna, Butch, Hot Since 82, Technasia, and more. In 2019 he played gigs through North America, Europe, and South America at BPM Festival, WMC, Lost Circus, to name a few. Known for his daredevil, risk-taking production style, we have no doubt that this is only the beginning of a very exciting journey for Fiin.
Title: Mixtape 3
Label: BROHOUSE
BROHUG boys are back with a special gift for fans in the form of their four-track “Mixtape 3,” which is full of the bass-heavy house vibes the Swedish trio is known and loved for. The full-length release features already released “Breach,” “Charge,” and “Escape,” all of which pack in shuffle-worthy beats and dirty synths, in addition to the brand new work “Stealth.” It delivers deep, driving bass that is sure to make your feet move, even if you’re listening from your living room speakers, and perfectly rounds out the bundle with BROHUG‘s signature sound. They made all the tracks from the EP entirely during the beginning of worldwide lockdown and are now giving it to their fans as a way to lift spirits during the pandemic. The “Mixtape 3” EP is the latest in BROHUG‘s series, following chapters 1 and 2 as well as their earlier releases “Gold On My Crown,” featuring Born I and “1990” with Kaskade.
“The ‘Mixtape‘ series continues with #3; a concept which we wanted to focus on in 2020, releasing crates of new music to move the dancefloors. While we all expected to be partying together this year, a different hand was dealt. The 4 tracks featured on Mixtape 3 were made during the beginning of shutdowns around the world, and we wanted them to represent and inspire the strength music can provide during crazy times. At times of uncertainty, sometimes the best thing we can do is listen to music, dance, and forget about the outside world, if only for a moment.” – BROHUG
Regardless of their satirical stage name, BROHUG is not here to play games. Since John Dahlbäck and the Lunde brothers formed BROHUG in 2016, the trio has worked with Ghastly, remixed Steve Angello, and released on labels such as Confession, Spinnin’ Records, Dim Mak, Musical Freedom, and their label BROHOUSE. In 2019, their release schedule was packed with relentless hit after hit. Virtually unrivaled, their touring has been intense since the start. BROHUG has really put their name out, with sets on festivals like Ultra Music Festival in Miami and Tomorrowland in Belgium, touring Australia and several tours in the US and Asia. Even a global pandemic can’t keep BROHUG down, so keep an eye out for what’s next for this talented trio!
Title: Bull Kick
Label: Barong Family
Release date: August 07, 2020
Dutch hardcore legend Paul Elstak and Psycho Boys Club teamed up for their single “Bull Kick,” the newest release from Yellow Claw‘s Barong Family imprint. “Bull Kick” should come with a warning label: not for the faint of heart. The track is a unique fusion of hardcore, bass, psytrance, and ravey techno, evoking memories of early rave days in clandestine underground warehouses. Elstak and Psycho Boys Club deliver rapid-fire kickdrums and distorted synths, making the track as hard-hitting as it can possibly be. “Bull Kick” follows Psycho Boys Club duo’s earlier “Over You,” released on Spinnin’ Records Asia, Barong Family‘s debut EP “Chaos Underground,” as well as Paul Elstak‘s singles, such as “Beyond Your Control” and “Soldaat.”
In the hardcore scene, Paul Elstak needs no introduction. His career began in 1987 and has led to a long resume of both commercial and underground hits; he launched his label Rotterdam Records in 1992 and released radio-friendly singles “Life Is Like A Dance,” “Luv U More,” “Don’t Leave Me Alone,” “The Promised Land“, “Rave On” and “Rainbow In The Sky,” all of which made the Dutch Top 40 in the 1990s. The next decade found Elstak pivoting to a harder style of music as he evolved as a producer. In 2010, he produced the title track for the movie “New Kids Turbo,” which led to him winning a Rembrandt Award for Best Title Song for the Gold-certified track in 2011. More recently, in 2017, Elstak released hits “Kind Van De Duivel” (“Child of the Devil“) and “Engeltje” (“Little Angel“) with rapper Jebroer and Dr. Phunk, both of which went collectively 5x Platinum in The Netherlands and Gold in Belgium.
DJs and producers Juyen Sebulba and Stoltenhoff teamed up for their Psycho Boys Club project in 2019, complementing their own successful careers as solo artists. Juyen previously released on Musical Freedom, Mad Decent, and Mixmash, while Stoltenhoff collaborated with Tiësto on “Lose Control,” SLANDER on “We Out” and remixed Yellow Claw. Together as Psycho Boys Club, their hard-hitting style has found a home on Barong Family, where they’ve continued to build their repertoire with a string of well-received releases.

NYC-based DJ/producer duo LUNDØN has linked up with L.A.-based rock singer/songwriter Loveless for their newest collaborative offering, ‘Don’t Turn This Car Around’. After releasing solo for quite some time, Justin Peeling recently joined forces with Jeff Updike to form the present-day iteration of LUNDØN. The track directly follows Peeling’s recent release ‘Ride Or Die’ alongside Kramos, as well as Loveless’ new track ‘Down Again’. Out now, ‘Don’t Turn This Car Around’ is available to listen to across all streaming platforms.
STREAM/DOWNLOAD: LUNDØN – ‘DON’T TURN THIS CAR AROUND (FEAT. LOVELESS)’
The harmonious, textured vocal, courtesy of Loveless’ Julian Comeau, effortlessly flows throughout the track’s entirety, serving as a prime accompaniment to LUNDØN’s hefty basslines and heart-soaring drops. The melancholic theme of the tune is executed flawlessly, in large part due to the raw emotion and power behind Comeau’s harmonious singing of the track’s profoundly rich lyrics. Overall, LUNDØN’s hard-hitting dance music production elements act as a great addition to the pop-rock sensibilities Loveless is so well-known for, in turn crafting the perfect sonic marriage between dance music and indie rock.
LUNDØN is a Manhattan-based electronic dance music DJ duo that recently formed within the last year. Consisting of Justin Peeling and Jeff Updike (formerly known as Stvylight), the pair’s first time working with one another was on last October’s ‘Whoever’s Next’ alongside Reece Young and Brandon Elgar. Reeling off its success and wanting to take things further, they eventually decided to link up with one another to form LUNDØN, marking their first release with ‘Don’t Turn This Car Around’.

Sydney-based indie-punk quartet Down For Tomorrow have just returned with their vigorous new single ‘Trouble Prone’– produced and mixed by Stevie Knight (Yours Truly, Stand Atlantic, The Dead Love).
‘Trouble Prone’ opens with searing guitars and hefty drums, fiercely picking up momentum before exploding into a chorus coated with conviction. Instrumentation effortlessly blends with the emotionally driven melody, as deftly composed lead guitar brightly shines above. The track momentarily dives down into its melancholic bridge, building intensely to a raucous final chorus.
Alongside the release of the track is the mischievous accompanying music video, written and directed by Robbie Walcott. Paying homage to late 90’s cult films ‘Snatch’ and ‘Trainspotting’, the video features an intricate plot with a twist ending, as a supposedly fixed underground ping-pong tournament final doesn’t quite go to plan. The clip stars Australian actors Neel Kolhatkar and Adam Boys.
Lead singer Cody Stebbings talks about the story behind ‘Trouble Prone’:
“Everybody hates ghosting, yet a lot of us are guilty of doing it – myself included. So, you could say this song is a dig at the hypocrisy of ghosting people, and at those who don’t understand that their lives are a reflection of their attitude and how they treat people. It’s also a dig at myself too. Working with Robbie for the music video was also an absolute blast. Watching him bring these brilliant ideas to life, and having Neel and Adam playing the lead roles, as well as having our management and some good mates in the clip, it was all a fantastic experience.”
While the band has been forced off the road due to restrictions, Down For Tomorrow are continuing to work on their forthcoming staggered EP titled ‘Whatever Happens’, from which the group will be releasing new singles in the coming months. Recently released tracks ‘Show Me That You Care’, ‘Emily’ and ‘Until You Feel Alright’ will also feature on the record.
Previous releases have been strongly supported by Spotify, Apple Music, triple j, triple j Unearthed, Flux FM (DEU) and Australian community radio. They’ve also received online praise from Pilerats, Hysteria Magazine, Savage Thrills, Surviving The Golden Age (USA), Music Feeds, The AU Review, Wickedd Childd, The Music and Backyard Opera.
Down For Tomorrow have consistently traversed the East-Coast of Australia, having shared stages with The Maine (USA), The Dangerous Summer (USA), As It Is (USA), British India and Bootleg Rascal. They also made an appearance at Brisbane’s Mountain Goat Valley Crawl in February.

Life takes twists and turns and good things take time. Four years since the release of her acclaimed ‘Survivors’ EP. The debut album from Kids At Midnight is upon us. In both theme and tone, All I Ever Wanted Was Your Love embodies the romance and nostalgia that Kids At Midnight has become renowned for. Her music is often described as ‘The soundtrack to a teen romance film that never existed’, the metaphor became reality earlier this year when album track ‘Boys Like You’ was selected to score the climactic final scene of Netflix’s “Never Have I Ever” series. A US teen series that has reached 40 million households!
Having reached a vibrant novel audience, Kids At Midnight’s healthy catalog was not quite enough to satiate her excited new fans and anticipation for her debut album has become palpable. With her listener base sharply growing in 2020, All I Ever Wanted Was Your Love’s imminent release is not just timely, but poetic.
“After a couple of years of promising this album and life and love drama getting in the way, writing and producing these songs and then finally getting to the place I could let them go, it feels so amazing to have it ready right now! Not just to share with my new fans from my song being on ‘Never Have I Ever’ (which has been crazy), but as a slow motion rom com running embrace to the people who’ve waited so patiently for its completion.”
Eleven tracks of enchantment and intrigue, of romance and reconnection; All I Ever Wanted Was Your Love is an elaborate showcase of Kids At Midnight’s composition, production & performance. It is a record that is both timeless in essence and timely in apparition.

SUPPORT FOR ‘SNAKES & LADDERS’
“2 things we know about Timi. First up, he loves snakes. Secondly, he can write a crunchy, colourful, super fun jam and this one has me sliding down the ladder to come geddit.” – 4/5 stars
– Declan Byrne – triple j (USA)
Sydney-based indie-rock artist Timi Temple has just unveiled his scintillating new single ‘Snakes & Ladders’ and announced his upcoming attempt to break a Guinness World Record – for the world’s biggest game of Snakes & Ladders.
The track flawlessly exudes Timi’s distinctive brand of indie-rock, effortlessly blending searing guitar riffs, thudding percussion and nonchalant lead vocals to create something wholly his own. Reverb-soaked instrumentation and fuzz guitar riffs combine to create the song’s extravagant psych-laden bridge.
Timi talks about the meaning behind ‘Snakes & Ladders’:
“’Snakes & Ladders’ is a song born of societal experiences and commentary about my life. As I’m starting to see success in my music career, sycophantic friends from the past emerge (the snakes) to climb the career ladder that they now deem me to be? Ironically, the sombre tone of the song is downplayed through the use of the children’s board game metaphor and my tongue in cheek lyrics. The song also has a strong connection to my home country of Australia referencing ‘Falls Festival in December.”
Timi has consistently toured the country, selling out venues across NSW, including Waywards, Oxford Art Factory Gallery, The Vanguard and Marly Bar, as well as touring with established acts like Baker Boy, Kilter, Cosmo’s Midnight and Bootleg Rascal.
As a performer Timi has featured on triple j‘s Like A Version with Kilter, Cosmo’s Midnight and Kota Banks, and performed at Australian festival juggernauts Splendour in The Grass, Field Day, Listen Out, Yours & Owls and Falls Festival.
Previous singles have been widely embraced by radio tastemakers triple j, triple j Unearthed, FBi, 4ZZZ, RTR FM, 2XX and a slew of other Australian community stations. His catalogue has also seen support from tastemaker blogs Indie Shuffle (ZAF), Clash Magazine (UK), Monster Children, Pilerats, Life Without Andy, Purple Sneakers and Savage Thrills.

Bryon Bay-based indie-rock group SEASIDE have just unveiled their compelling new single ‘Dopamine’ – produced by the band themselves and mixed by Paul Pilsneniks (The Mars Volta, Boy & Bear, Silverchair).
Opening with ominous synth and an unwavering beat, ‘Dopamine’ swiftly kicks in with dreamy reverb-soaked guitars, as the mesmerising melodies of Darcy Dexter float elegantly above. The track coasts along effortlessly, before dipping down momentarily and gradually building back up, as it transitions into its soaring and infectious chorus.
Dexter talks about the meaning behind ‘Dopamine’:
“’Dopamine’ is about being so caught in the whirlwind that is love – letting it consume you and throw you around without giving it a definition or needing to explain it. It can be both the best and worst feeling all at once, but it’s the one thing that universally ties us all together.”
To celebrate the release of ‘Dopamine’ the band will perform to a limited capacity audience at Black Bear Lodge, Brisbane. Joining them on the show will be special guests Melaleuca.
In the live arena, the group have toured Australia multiple times, selling out headline shows and sharing stages with Last Dinosaurs, Angus and Julia Stone, The Jungle Giants and Lime Cordiale, and also performing at mainstay festivals Splendour in the Grass, Party in the Paddock, Summersalt Festival, BIGSOUND Festival and Grampians.
