Zachary Leo’ is a bold blend of funk, rock, and soul from Melbourne based artist Zachary Leo Gulavin. Written and produced from his home in the South East, his songs speak of heartbreak, self-destruction, and love, taking musical inspiration from the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jamiroquai, and the early works of Maroon 5. His musical mixture of guitars, organs, keys, and exciting bass lines is backed by a powerful vocal described by Triple J’s Nkechi Anele to be “criminal how good it is”.

2019 marked the first year of ‘Zachary Leo’ with the 21-year-old releasing just two singles, ‘Lay You Down’ and ‘She’ both recorded by Emmy award-winning Engineer Guus Hoevanaars. Gulavin (Zachary Leo) has since taken full control of the recording process, both engineering and producing all his new material (including his new single ‘Feels’ and upcoming EP) out of numerous studios around Melbourne.

The funk-rock singer/songwriter has also been honing his live performance with his exciting 5-piece act supporting some amazing Australian bands last year including Thirsty Merc, Pacific Avenue and Port Royal as well as selling out his 2019 debut single launch at The Grace Darling Hotel.

The multi-instrumentalist has now been writing and recording since December and is set to release ‘Feels’, the first single off his upcoming EP of the same name on August 14th. ‘Feels’ will be one of 2 singles off the Extended-Release set to hit Streaming services as well as a limited Vinyl run on November 13th.
