Stepping directly into the spotlight, Perth producer TWERL releases ‘Under Bright Lights’, a rave-ready collab with Ekko & Sidetrack that features New Zealand’s Indy Skies.

TWERL’s production mastery is on full display as he delivers a track overflowing with meticulously layered beats and dynamic drops, illuminated by the smooth and echoing vocals of Auckland songstress Indy Skies. “There’s nothing that compares to this energy” sings Skies, her hypnotic vocals building to booming, synth-driven breaks – each more powerful than the one before. For TWERL, the inspiration behind this track is a simple one, ‘Under Bright Lights’ is a song made for dancing, celebrating and escaping the everyday.

 “We wanted to create a song that allows you to escape – to come alive under the bright lights of the rave,” – TWERL. 

Along for the ride are TWERL’s mates of over a decade, fellow Perth producers, Ekko & Sidetrack. “I was long overdue for a collaboration with brothers Ekko & Sidetrack,” says TWERL. Off the back of her glittering debut single ‘Retribution’, Auckland up-and-comer, Indy Skies rounds out this dynamic collaboration. For TWERL, the decision to work with Indy was a simple one, after he was left captivated by Indy’s vocals and lyricism. “I discovered Indy when I was in Auckland playing a show and immediately knew she was perfect for the track,” he explains.

Having carved out his own signature sound of jagged rhythms and experimental bass lines, TWERL has collaborated with industry heavy hitters Luude, SLUMBERJACK and Shockone, and has released official remixes for the likes of L D R U, Diplo and Lil Xan. Known for his captivating live performances, TWERL has become a hot commodity, completing multiple national headline tours, performing at Listen Out Festival and supporting Alison Wonderland during her tour of Japan.
