After much deliberation, the G.O.A.T ain’t goin’ anywhere, baby! Approved to go ahead Saturday 12 February, today The Mountain Goat Valley Crawl is thrilled to share the set times for 2022.
The festival has changed the need to register – No ticket needed, just click attending on the Facebook event and assemble the giddy herd for one helluva good time.
It’s almost time to dance the night away with some of the best national acts on offer. Kicking off from 6 pm, the lineup includes psychedelic four-piece The Lazy Eyes, Australiana jangle-rockers Flowertruck, and alt-pop heavyweight Bec Sandridge. Don’t forget to check out the man from Cronulla, Adam Newling; it’ll be hard to resist coming to see Adam swoon the crowd with his triple j Hottest 100 winning hit ‘Sweetness’. Melbourne sweethearts, RAThammock! are going to be there with their catalogue of earworm-bops, and don’t miss the chance to get lost in the hypnotic beats of Milan Ring. The cherry on top of an already epic night, Kwame, finishing the crawl off with the high-energy rap that has made his name unforgettable. Alongside the already absolutely packed lineup are two new additions, The Empty Threats, an alternative psych-rock five-piece from Adelaide and Gold Coast indie-rockers, Seasoning. These additions come to the lineup as the Mountain Goat Valley Crawl, unfortunately, loses The Tinderxoes and 90Ivy.
If this night isn’t already the greatest thing since the Mountain Goat Valley Crawl 2021, then strap yourself in, because the Crawl has one more thing up its sleeve. Punters are invited to the official afterparty at The BrightsideBrisbane; Where a band too awesome and cool to announce right now will play a high-energy late-night set. Joining the super-secret band will be Brisbane legends Bugs and Sweater Curse who will be getting behind the decks to deliver straight-fire DJ sets
Look forward to trotting through the iconic Fortitude Valley, and checking out nine of its most renowned venues. Hosting the hordes are old favourites, TheZoo, TheBrightside, Black Bear Lodge, Woolly Mammoth, and Rics Backyard. Alongside them newcomers, Suzie Wongs Good Time Bar, a New York-style hang-out that is quickly becoming a regular Brisbane haunt. Organisers advise festival attendees that each venue will work on a first-in best-dressed basis, so make sure to get there early.
So, what’s the wait? Click attending, throw on some party pants, and come boogie the night away to some of the most exciting newcomers in the Australian music scene. I mean why not? It’s completely free and there’s guaranteed good beer and good times.
See you at the G.O.A.T!
