THE BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE

Due to overwhelming demand, The Brian Jonestown Massacre have added a second show in Sydney city to go along with the now SOLD OUT show at The Metro.  This 2nd Vivid Sydney show happens at The Metro on Friday the 8^th of June, with tickets going on sale at 10am on Thursday April 12^th.  All other shows across the country are selling fast with Castlemaine and Wollongong also SOLD OUT and shows in all other cities not far behind.

Lead by prolific outlier Anton Newcombe, The Brian Jonestown Massacre have both explored and defined the realms of neo-psychedelia across their storied 28 year existence.  The next chapter sees the release of the band’s 17^th full-length studio album Something Else, which is out on June 1^st, 2018.

Part shoegaze, part Velvet Underground, Something Else celebrates all that is great about the BJM, but as always hurries forward toward new musical horizons. With Newcombe’s trademark edifying social commentary at the fore, the album is a classic BJM reduction of swirling retro-hued guitars, washed over droning, hypnotic primal rhythms, that same sonic blueprint that has won the band an army of admirers and imitators alike.

Galvanised by electrifying live shows across multiple tours since the mid 2000’s and nourished by an impressively constant flow of exciting new recorded music, The Brian Jonestown Massacre have built a devoted fan base in Australia.  Whether on record, or in mortal flesh, fans know that the BJM are one hell of a f#@king trip!
