“The Melbourne five-piece have selected the best of what’s worked for their peers and added their own unique spin in an attempt to carve the next chapter for pop punk in this country. This EP is going to turn many heads and opportunities their way” – 8/10 WALL OF SOUND

Today, Melbourne alternative rock band Terra drop a video for their latest single Fear, off the band’s highly anticipated new EP “Reverie”, out independently this Friday.

New single Fear follows on from their highly successful singles Arrows and Frenemies, which received support from Kerrang Magazine (feature artist), BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, Triple M Hard n Heavy, Triple J Short Fast Loud, Rebel FM, Triple J Home & Hosed along with high rotation on Triple J Unearthed.

Fear is an anthem of destruction, which sees Terra take it up a notch with world class song-writing and a vocal performance which is really going to set Cassie Jade aside from her peers in the genre.

“Fear describes the story of an abusive relationship. It explains the tug of war between being afraid of the person you love but also desperately wanting them to be the person you seek comfort in, being “the fear and the cure”. You stay hoping they will change, but it comes to the point where you can’t deny the impact and damage it has on every aspect of your life” – vocalist Cassie Jade

Reverie is chock full of attitude, hooks, pop punk leanings and glistening vocals which is sure to bring the band to a wider audience. The EP is perfectly bookended with the opening track Wishful, showcasing the softer side of the band, to Wasted Days, an honest and heartfelt track where piano leads into an emotional crescendo and sing along.

Terra recently performed at Knight & Day Festival NYE 2021 alongside Parkway Drive, Polaris, Trophy Eyes, Alex Lahey and many others.

With a run of shows planned for this year, the sky is the limit for Terra.

Stay tuned for more news on Terra.

ABOUT TERRA

Terra are a five-piece alternative rock outfit hailing from Melbourne, Australia.

In the early stages of the band, Terra saw success with their pop-rock cover of Vanessa Carlton’s ‘A Thousand Miles’, clicking over 90,000 views on their Youtube channel. Following this the band started to play a number of shows locally and interstate and developed a following off the back of their debut single ‘Talk is Cheap.’

This then saw the release of debut EP ‘Wasted Days’ which began a string of local shows with Tonight Alive, Knocked Loose and Skillet. The following year Terra were able to cut their teeth nationally playing with Storm The Sky, Yours Truly and Redhook.

In 2020 Terra opened the Unify Festival AM/PM pre-show to a warm reception, previewing their new, more polished sound which would be teased through their EP release ‘Into deep Blue.’

Presenting a delicate side to the bands diversity in songwriting, ‘Into Deep Blue’ reimagines older material into an acoustic format and features  new song ‘Song For Maddie’ which the band had been playing in their live shows over that year.

Late 2020 saw Terra release the highly successful single Frenemies, which received support from Kerrang Magazine (feature artist), BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, Triple M Hard n Heavy, Triple J Home & Hosed along with high rotation on Triple J Unearthed.

Although covid-19 lockdowns in Melbourne put a complete halt to all national touring plans, the downtime has allowed the band to regroup and plan for what hopes to be an exciting 2022 with the release of their new EP Reverie.

With a strong touring schedule in place for 2022 to support their new release, Terra are making up for lost time in a big way.

TERRA are
Cassie Jade (Lead Vocals)
Darcy Handley (Drums)
Joey Knight (Rhythm Guitar)
Sean Morris (Lead Guitar)
Darcy Leadoux (Bass)
