Hot off the heels from her collaboration with Flume on ‘Say Nothing’, today MAY-A announces more dates for her east coast Australian tour following a sold out run; ahead of her international live debut supporting Gayle in LA next month, 5SOS national tour dates later this year, and a tour across the UK/Europe supporting Wallows (Dylan Minnette) in 2023. In 2021 alone, MAY-A received her first ARIA nomination for ‘Best Breakthrough Act’, in the wake of her debut EP Don’t Kiss Ur Friends, which launched to a stream of international praise. Recognised by Vogue as one of “the next generation of Australian musicians”; a “rising pop talent” by Billboard and recurring triple j mainstay amongst praise from Variety, Dork, PAPER, and many more.
Steadying to burst into 2022, MAY-A also celebrated landing at #101 in triple j’s Hottest 200, features, collaborations, and performances with some of the nation’s most respected and burgeoning stars – The Veronicas, DMA’S, Budjerah,and now, Flume. ‘Say Nothing’ marked the return of Flume and news of his forthcoming album Palaces, due May 20. “Working with Flume on ‘Say Nothing’ has been a really incredible experience,”MAY-A says. “I’m such a big fan of Harley’s so it’s unbelievable to be in a position to create music with someone I look up to and can learn so much from. His creative process is a really inspiring thing to be a part of. I’m so excited for everyone to hear the song!”
