“His most compelling music to date…We are proud to give this record a home at Foreign Family Collective and can’t wait for it to resonate with listeners like it did for us.”

The FADER

Novel have announced the first ever Melbourne show for Swedish artist / producer Kasbo as part of his debut album ‘Places We Don’t Know’ world tour.

‘Places We Don’t Know’ is where dreamy percussion and nostalgic vocals combine to create a dynamic and interesting sound that is undeniably his. Already garnering more than 25 million collective streams between all platforms, ‘Places We Don’t Know’ is a 13-track collection released via Foreign Family Collective/Counter Records, the album features TENDER, Frida Sundemo, Keiynan Lonsdale, and more. His aim was to create “a dreamlike world that you want to explore, but you’re also not afraid of what you’re going to find.”

Though young, the 22 year old producer is far from inexperienced, having toured with the likes of ODESZA and Glass Animals, as well as writing huge remixes for Big Gigantic, Vance Joy, The Temper Trap and Jai Wolf to name a few. And with every date of his US tour sold out, it’s undeniable that Kasbo will be making waves for time to come.

Experience ‘Places We Don’t Know’ – during Kasbo‘s first ever Australian tour – live this July. Armed with a brand new live show, this is an event you really don’t want to miss. Kasbo will be joined by local artists London Topaz and Lotus Moonchild.

Sweden’s Carl Garsbo, better known as Kasbo, may only be 22 years old but he is already becoming a dominant force in the indie electronic scene. His brand of soulful and evocative electronic music has spread like wild fire and launch this youngster into the big league. Coming off an incredibly successful ‘Places We Don’t Know’ album launch and world tour, it is clear that Kasbo is attracting the attention and admiration of some of the most influential tastemakers and producers in the scene today.

London Topaz (DJ set)
London Topaz encapsulates raw emotion and energy in his stripped back approach to dance music. With soft touching tones,London Topaz embraces ethereal warmth to bring you the most honest representation of his artistry. Soundcloud

Lotus Moonchild

A member of heavyweights: The Operatives, AIAIAI and Battle 8 entrants: The Perfect Strangers, Lotus Moonchild is an incredibly versatile DJ. You can find her weaving in and out of genres from electronica, soul, golden era hip-hop, bass, trap and garage. Soundcloud

Kasbo shares ‘Snow In Gothenburg’ track and video

KASBO SHARES ‘SNOW IN GOTHENBURG‘ TRACK AND VIDEO

Out now on Foreign Family Collective/Counter Records via Inertia Music.

Today Kasbo has shared his new track ‘Snow In Gothenburg‘ out on Foreign Family Collective / Counter Records via Inertia Music. The song is about Kasbo’s hometown of Gothenburg, Sweden.  Prior to this single Kasbo released the track ‘Bleed It Out‘.

When talking about the new single Kasbo says, “I’m really happy to share my new song ‘Snow in Gothenburg’ with you. I’ve been listening to a lot of melancholic house driven music lately and most of my productions this past year have been widely inspired by that. ‘Snow In Gothenburg’ is where I take this concept to its fullest. It came out as one of my most atmospheric and personal tracks I’ve made. Super excited that you finally get to hear it.

The song itself is about loneliness and isolation, and the freedom of coming to terms with those feelings. Seeing the beauty of realising that everyone has their own ways to go in life and that not everyone is supposed to have someone.

2017 has been such a fun year and can’t wait for 2018. I’m dropping so so much new music so make sure to stay updated!“

Leading up to this release, the 21-year old Swede has earned over 50 million streams on his music over the past two years alone with press support from Billboard, Stereogum, THUMP, Stoney Roads, and more. He has previously supported Glass Animals and a recent tour with ODESZA.

Kasbo releases visual for “Bleed It Out” featuring NEA

KASBO RELEASES VISUAL FOR “BLEED IT OUT” FEATURING NEA

Kasbo has shared the visual for his new track “Bleed It Out” on All Things Go. The song also features NEA who is best known for writing the hit song “Lush Life” for Zara Larsson which has streamed over 627 million times and sold platinum in the UK. She’s also collaborated with artists and producers Axwell, Tinie Tempah, Snakehips, MNEK, Icona Pop and Jasmine Thompson.

Gothenburg based producer Kasbo (Carl Garsbo) released “Bleed It Out” last month on Foreign Family Collective/Counter Records via Inertia Music. When talking about the track Kasbo says, “This song like one of my other released tunes ‘World Away’ is mainly inspired by my backpacking trip through China and Vietnam. Travelling around this place that has a complete different culture and way of life gave me a very uneasy feeling but was also very intriguing, and going there with your friends it was just a whole mess of emotions. Familiarity, clashing with fear in a complete foreign environment. There are so many new impressions during such a short time, things going on everywhere, a lot of the places we visited were extremely chaotic while at the same time very alluring. It was something that at first stemmed some kind of anxiety within me but something I grew to love, was kind of a beautiful chaos.“

PRAISE FOR “BLEED IT OUT”

“There’s no slowing Kasbo. The young Swedish artist has blown us
away time and time again. This time is no different.”

This Song Is Sick

“On his new single, ‘Bleed It Out,’ Kasbo finds a vocalist capable of
capturing the emotionality of his music with thrilling results.”

The 405

“”Bleed it Out” sounds like a much-loved house tune that has been
given a radical reworking, resulting in the perfect song for
you to end your night to.”

High Snobiety

“Kasbo has the innate ability to combine the cinematically
bright with the hauntingly beautiful.”
