Trinidad-born, Eora-based artist Gold Fang has today shared his latest summer single, ‘Drop‘ featuring CD, ahead of his debut headline show at the House of Music and Booze this Saturday Dec 17. LISTEN TO ‘DROP’ HERE.

Featuring Naarm-based, Egyptian / Australian R&B vocalist CD and produced by frequent collaborators Swick (M.I.A, JLo, Tkay Maidza) and Korky Buchek (Sophiya, Boysoda, Shanae), ‘Drop’ is a fierce Dancehall and RnB fusion. Drawing from the inspiration of his roots, Gold Fang flexes his melodic Caribbean flow and high-energy pop sensibilities, whilst CD turns up the heat with sensual vocals and euphoric layered harmonies that compliment Swick and Korky’s signature digital sparkle.

In his words, Gold Fang shares that ‘Drop’ is “about this sexy girl who I can’t take my eyes off. The way she moves is intoxicating.” As a longtime fan, of his collaboration with CD, Gold Fang says, “Working with CD was calm. I was a lil shy to work with someone who I respect like that. She a gangster, but she is subtle with it.”

Following the free-flowing ‘Big Natty Rasta’ that landed playlisting across triple j, triple j Unearthed, FBi Radio, RAGE, MTV, and praise from NME, Acclaim Magazine, Purple Sneakers, Sniffers, Junkee, and more, Gold Fang wraps up a masterful balance of cultural authenticity amongst a playful exterior, standing tall amongst dancehall and reggae counterparts including Vybz Kartel, WizKid, and Popcaan.
