Meanjin-based alt-pop artist, Emerson Leif, drops the final lead track ‘More or Less’ from his EP Good Shot today, closely followed behind by the full EP release on Friday.
‘More Or Less’ brings R&B soul and alt-pop energy, sharing the acceptance and acknowledgment of being alone and completely okay with it, and comes after melodic dream, ‘Fine’, mesmerising ‘Blood’, and introspective title track ‘Good Shot’.
Good Shot EP, out Oct 28, is a solo affair, and features six tracks documenting Emerson’s journey over the past year – his triumphs, struggles, fears, and brushes with defiance, forgiveness and gratefulness. He says “Good Shot (EP) is a message of hope – when the odds are against you but you know you will make it through eventually. You can heal and change and grow.”
Emerson Leif has remained an impressive figure and playlist regular, with ‘Fine’ scoring double j rotation and triple j Unearthed Top 5 Songs of the Week.
