After a hugely prolific 2020 that saw Plastik Funk debut in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s Poll, his eclectic and party-starting releases, as well as electric live shows when touring was able to happen, have helped to accelerate his fanbase through the stratosphere.  Where last year, he upped the ante on singles such as ‘High Enough’ with Firebeatz, ‘Rock This Town’ with Deekey and, most recently, his Eastern-influenced ‘Tribute To Asia’ EP, he now returns to Mixmash Bold to keep the momentum running.

Linking up with Pajane and Salvatore Mancuso, the trio get poised to soundtrack you ‘Through The Night’ with a deeper, funk-house anthem. Inaugurating their collective sound with a 4/4 beat that sets the club-ready tone of the track, space is suddenly discovered for the breathy female vocal to enchant. As “Sweet dreams of rhythm and dancing / Sweet dreams of passion through the night” soars above a dramatic collection of deeper synths, the topline delivery suddenly evolves into looped and chopped territory to bring a unique, unexpected and dance-inducing level of fun to the production.  As all the elements come together come the climax, it’s an eruption of hands-in-the-air joy that is ready to alight the Spring!

Eagle-eyed fans may recognise Pajane and Salvatore Mancuso from linking up with Plastik Funk himself on their collective VIP edit of the aforementioned’s ‘Feet Don’t Touch’, as colossal releases from Pajane including ‘White Powder’ has seen him receive support from artists including Bassjackers, with Mancuso also unleashing his live weaponry everywhere from Sunset Beach Festival, to Ibiza and beyond as one of the freshest Italian talents.
