Nina Kraviz (RUS)
If anyone can stake a claim for being techno’s biggest drawcard, it would be Russia’s most famous dance music export, Nina Kraviz. She is one of the most talked-about names in contemporary dance music, a popular dance identity who has transmogrified the underground scene by becoming a social and cultural identity. It’s easy to get sidetracked by the media attention following Kraviz, but for those tuned in to the nuances of dance music know she is a once-in-a-generation artist and a true tastemaker. For proof, look no further than her Trip imprint. It is littered with productions that sounds like it was sourced from a distant future where exceptional artists operate on as yet undiscovered frequencies. The label is fresh, exciting and increasingly impressive. Her DJ sets can be a musical voyage bordering on the fantastical, they can include everything from forgotten classics to modern techno rooted in experimental layers. Nina Kraviz will go down as a zeitgeist defining artist and she deserves your attention. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to see her first Australian club performance since 2013.

Aurora Halal (USA)
Joining Nina Kraviz will be the shadowy and psychedelic sounds of New Yorker Aurora Halal. As the creator of influential Brooklyn party series Mutual Dreaming and the Sustain-Release event, Aurora has positioned herself as one of America’s foremost authorities of imaginative and unique techno. Her distinctive sound has found favour with forward-thinking global events including Unsound, Atonal and Nachtdigital and regular bookings at worldwide clubs including Berghain. An Aurora Halal performance is coloured with a hazy sensuality and metallic dance floor intensity that’s at turns playful, dark, acidic, hard, euphoric and emotionally vulnerable. Or as she explained in her Breaking Through feature with Resident Advisor: “I want evocative images, hypnotic motifs—overwhelming surges of feelings, risky combinations and even uncomfortable moments, or else I’d rather go home.” This will be Aurora Halal’s first Australian show in three years.
