Melbourne three piece Something Something Explosion opened the night with a raging set to an enthusiastic Melbourne crowd. Lead singer Grace Drummond lit the stage up with her powerful vox and the band powered through putting on an explosive, energetic show. Drastic Park followed with a pop punk extravaganza, very reminiscent of late 90’s early 2000’s punk period.
Swedish legends Millencolin hit the stage playing to an eagerly and very packed 170 Russell. Playing with the ease of true professionals of punk, Millencolin played all the fans’ hits, Bullion and Fox, SOS and a solo version of Pepper and Penguins and Polarbears to name a few. Millencolin are as relevant today as when they started 30 years ago, still killing it live after a lengthy period playing as one of the Earth’s great punk bands.
