Xavier will bring the most intricate solo show of his career to Australian fans off the back of his hugely successful North American and European tours.
An unforgettable night awaits at the stunning Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, filled with timeless classics and the exciting new sounds of his latest EP – Freedom Sessions – mesmerising audiences as he seamlessly juggles multiple instruments, while fusing intricate live looping and immersive soundscapes throughout his new tracks, showcasing new levels of complexity in his performance.
XAVIER RUDD will be joined by very special guests, award-winning songwriter and musician EMILY WURRAMARA and dynamic quartet CALYPSO CORA.

An acclaimed singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Xavier’s soul-stirring music encompasses themes of spirituality, humanity and environmentalism. A Warnindhilyagwa woman from Groote Eylandt, Emily sings in both English and Anindilyakwa, celebrating her connection to land and culture. An advocate for important social causes and environmental issues makes her an inspiring figure and role model in the Australian music scene. Emily enters a new chapter with the forthcoming release of her anticipated follow up to 2018’s acclaimed Milyakburra.
CALYPSO CORA are an exciting new four-piece from the Northern Rivers of NSW. With creative talent in the bloodline, Xavier’s son Finojet Rudd is the lead singer, recently supporting him at sold-out shows. Blending surf-soaked guitar sounds with indie pop melodies that captivate the spirit of good vibes, their catchy tunes draw from Brit rock and ska reggae influences.
The iconic Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne is partnering with Roundhouse Entertainment, the highly experienced and successful team behind a day on the green, to transform the luscious lawns of the Observatory Precinct into a unique outdoor concert space for up to 5000 music lovers to enjoy their favourite artists in a beautiful, natural setting.
