Introducing KYE, the Zimbabwean-born, London-raised and Naarm/Melbourne-based woman with a modern take on neo-soul with her new single ‘Sometimes‘. Listen HERE and watch the Sanjay De Silva directed video HERE.
Fuelled by her formidable song writing, effortless vocal and vast network of collaborators in Melbourne’s growing community of creatives, KYE now carves out her own path and finds herself in the spotlight.
Speaking on her latest single ‘Sometimes‘ KYE says “This song is about relationship breakdown. It’s about not being able to pinpoint what exactly went wrong so there’s this sense of denial of wrongdoings. It’s an acceptance that sometimes things just don’t work out despite your greatest efforts.”
KYE has been patiently working within the Australian music scene, performing and writing with some of the country’s most talented artists including Sampa The Great, Genesis Owusu, Ruel, Meg Mac, Jessica Mauboy, Billy Davis and more. Stay tuned for more from KYE soon.
