In one of the most eagerly awaited bass collaborations of the year, powerhouse duo Ganja White Night teams up with rising star Tape B for their track “Ganja Tape.” After teasing the collaboration during recent performances, the track blends Ganja White Night’s signature “wobble” sound with Tape B’s distinctive sound design. “Ganja Tape” perfectly showcases the strengths of both artists, with the pre-drop vocal, “Yo Tape B! Yes, Ganja,” already resonating with dubstep fans nationwide and fueling excitement. This release builds on the momentum both artists have gained in 2024, with Tape B coming off a massive release – a genre-bending collab with John Summit and Subtronics titled “Gas Pedal Remix.” Ganja White Night is also riding high from a summer packed with their curated events, including a two-night stint at the famed Hampton Coliseum following their successful 2023 album, “Unity.” As both artists continue to tour and perform the track, “Ganja Tape” is primed to be a contender for bass track of the year.
Ganja White Night
Hailing from Mons, Belgium, Ganja White Night developed their unique sound away from the mainstream U.S. music scene. Drawing from early UK bass and reggae influences, they crafted their signature style over a decade-long career, solidified by their 2016 release, Mr. Wobble LP, which established their iconic “wobble” sound. Their vision of creating a mini animated universe came to life through a collaboration with Belgian street artist Ebo, bringing Mr. Wobble’s story to animated music videos like Wobble Master and LFO Requiem. Ganja White Night’s albums, including The Origins, The One, Dark Wobble, and 2023’s Unity, continue to explore this universe. They’ve collaborated with major names in bass music, including Zeds Dead, Subtronics, Slander, Liquid Stranger, and Boogie T. Their innovative approach has drawn comparisons to the visual storytelling of Gorillaz, and they plan to further develop their artistic universe.
